34 Meetings and troublemakers

Charles remembers that there is a saying that there are a hundred people, and there are all kinds of people.

And the group of elves sitting around him, although not humans, also perfectly reflects this saying.

Nando Elf has few rules and there are not many good reception conditions as a whole, so the meeting is actually very simple - a beautiful open space in the forest.

In the middle of the open space is a clear and transparent pool. Many animals usually come here to drink water. However, now, a large group of serious elves, tall and short, sit around the pool, and all the places are basically occupied by them.

Even if the animals in this world are not afraid of elves, they are scared by this rare situation and dare not approach them.

Charles stood by the pool, beside him was Kelebdill in a dark blue robe and five other familiar green elves, both men and women.

In fact, nearly half of the elves sitting in densely were seen by Charles.

So in fact, he didn't feel much nervous or unfamiliar with this meeting.

Most of the Nando elves have brown hair and gray eyes, and a small number of them have different hair and pupils. At the same time, they are basically wearing tight-fitting clothes, hand-protective trousers and leather boots, which are a bit like the hunter outfits in Charles' memory.

Even female elves rarely wear robes, mainly because it is not appropriate to wear sluggish clothes in the forest.

These guys are leaders or high-profile in various gathering places, but the Nando elves are in a special state, which is obviously different from the other two elves nobles, so that they look like ordinary elves hunters.

Shire stood by the lake. Compared to the elves around him, he was wearing a silver-white robe with exquisitely decorated tattoos and his long black hair was scattered in a neatly combed shoulder. Although he still looked tender, he looked steady and calm.

He was standing like this at this moment, very different from other elves sitting on the ground.

This is mainly because if the other elves stand up, then only a small number of people will see Charles.

The conditions are simple and there is nothing we can do.

At this moment, the discussion had just ended here, and each elf looked at Shire with inquiry, and Kelebdill next to him also asked in a low voice:

"Your Majesty, what about your opinion?"

He was asking the construction of the Nando Royal City.

They have discussed some relevant details before, and the current question is where the royal city needs to be built.

Some people have proposed to enter the Blue Mountains to choose a hidden place, and some have suggested to build it inside the forest. Most of them are more popular with an island in Abdul-Rante Hanoi, one of the seven rivers.

Charles knew something about the terrain of the Seven Rivers in the southeast corner of Berreand, but obviously he would not know better than the Nando elves who had lived here for thousands of years, so he nodded and had no objection.

Kelebdir then said loudly: "Since your Majesty agrees, we will eventually place the location on the island of Thorgaran."

After the words came to an end, all the elf leaders couldn't help but look happy, and then they began to continue discussing the next issue.

“What should our city be called?”

"What does Your Majesty think of Amonsheer?"

"I suggest Amon Weiros..."

Various sounds began to permeate the open space again.

Although generally older, all the elf leaders participating in the meeting seemed excited in the face of this rare tribe event.

However, just as they were talking about it, a discordant voice suddenly appeared: "Wait, don't mention this matter for now, now there is a more important question in front of us!"

The sound was slightly sharp and quite loud at the same time.

After the words fell, other voices came to an end in scattered voices, and the elves all looked at the person who spoke.

"Angloss, what's your problem?" The elf frowned, feeling that the rash words of this person who beat them were really impolite.

There was even a sarcastic sound.

"Do you want His Majesty to watch you perform a neck-twisting dance?"

After these words, some insiders around couldn't help but burst into laughter.

This silver-haired elf named Anglos liked to create some weird dances in his early years, and then encouraged others to learn from him. He once made many jokes.

In response to this, the male elf named Angelos glared at the guy who mocked him, but did not say much, but stood up from the root of the tree where he was originally sitting.

Then he walked a few steps along the gap in the group, raised his hand and pointed at Charles loudly, "The most important question is why we have to ask an outsider to be our king!"

After these words, the atmosphere around us suddenly became quiet, and everyone could not help but look at each other.

"Isn't this already agreed?" An elf frowned and asked, looking at Angelos with suspicion.

The other elves also nodded.

"It was indeed agreed, but I don't think he is suitable."

Angelos replied loudly, looking at Charles and accused him: "I admit that he has made great contributions to our tribe, but this is nothing different from being a king. I have not seen any talent that a king should have in him. He has not even said much from the beginning until now!"

"That's just that there's no need, Angelos, you should know that this is not a place where you should go wild." Calebdill, behind Charles, spoke out in anger.

It was originally difficult to ask Charle to agree to become king. Now that he finally succeeded, another elves jumped out to object, and it was one he had communicated with in advance, which made Calebdill very anxious. He paid attention to Charle's face from the corner of his eyes, for fear that the other party would regret it.

At the same time, he was filled with anger, wishing he could draw his sword and go forward and slash the troublemaker directly.

But there were so many elves around him watching, and he was not easy to get angry.

"Don't tell me the rules." Angelos asked back: "Are I wrong about what I said? Look at him, he is not even an adult yet!"

"A underage Xinda tribe, wouldn't it be a joke for other elves to tell this? They would say, look, those local buns living in the woods actually chose a child from our tribe to be the king. Are those guys already lagging behind to this level?"

"Shut up! Angelos, if you don't agree with our decision, you can leave here now, no one stops you!" A female elf standing behind Charles shouted.

"I'm just talking about my point of view. You're so unreasonable."

Angelos muttered, and when he saw some of his fellow tribes around him being stunned when they heard his words, he couldn't help but be even more excited.

However, when he was about to continue speaking, Charles, who was inexplicably stunned by his words, suddenly stared at him, and a faint light seemed to flash in his dark eyes.

Then Angelos felt his heart tighten suddenly, like a wet and cold poisonous snake slowly climbing up from behind against his skin.

That is not an illusion, but a reality!

At the same time, in his sight, the body should have been weak and even thin, suddenly began to expand and grow bigger. The face turned to look at him by the open pool became extremely terrifying and dark!

A faint terrifying murmur quietly emerged in my heart. The sound was filled with a strange greed, as if it was constantly coming from the abyss of evil that seemed to be coming from the end. There seemed to be someone calling him and coveting him...

...

Angelos, who was still talking nonstop, suddenly stopped talking, and Charles, who was targeted by him, just looked at him quietly.

The atmosphere was a little weird for a moment.

The elves looked at each other, feeling something was wrong.

However, after a moment of confrontation, Charles no longer looked at Angelos, but glanced at the group of Nando elves around him and said lightly: "I have never been a king, and I never thought I would become a king. But since I am standing here, I will not escape or regret. I will not express any opinions on the words of Angelos."

His words caused a low voice to be discussed around him, but under Charles' frown and glanced, they unconsciously calmed down.

Although the Nando elves are a bit casual and have no rules, they are also as sharp as other elves. Now, they feel that Charles is full of deterrence at this moment, and it is even more scary, which is completely different from his gentle performance in the past.

Seeing them quiet, Charles said again: "I have no deep thoughts about being a king. What I can guarantee that, after becoming a king, I will gather all the people of the Nando tribe who are willing to obey my orders to gather together to fight against foreign enemies, rather than letting you scatter in this way. I will also trade with the dwarves and change the flaws that we all know, at least not worse than other elves."

His voice paused for a moment, but no elves interrupted him this time.

"I will do my best to make your lives better during my time as a king. In fact, even if I am not a king, this has been proven."

After Charles said that, he no longer mentioned the things he had planned to do, but instead focused on Anglos, who had suddenly become silent.

"As for you, Angelos, as far as I know, the current situation of the Nando tribe has lasted for hundreds of years, so for such a long time, where are you?"

Angelos did not respond, and all the elves around him looked at him.

"You have not shown any performance in the past, but you just stood up at this time, just to take advantage of this to achieve your goals and divide the tribe? Or do you replace me?"

"But you forgot, or you remember but have long ignored it. It was not because everyone discussed and decided, but that all the elves here have already agreed to me as the king."

His voice paused again, but as just now, no one interrupted or objected.

Seeing this, Charles continued to speak.

"Obviously, you are one of them. Then, if you disagree, you can do not come to the meeting. As far as I know, there are indeed many ethnic groups that do not obey the call."

As he said that, he stepped forward and kept approaching Angelos, his voice kept coming and his eyes became colder.

"Since you have come, you have repentantly said those words, and it can be seen that the shadow of Morgoth has occupied a place in your heart."

"Your ambition is obvious, but you have no means to satisfy your ambitions. Your desires are higher than virtue, which just proves that you are just a brainless rat."

"Maybe I'm not the best candidate for the king, but I don't think you have the right to choose the king."

As he approached, Angelos, who was originally righteous, began to tremble all over. When Charles walked up to him, he couldn't help but take several steps back, his legs were weak, and he looked at the other person in horror, sweating.

Seeing this, Charles sneered, then ignored the person, turned to look at the elves around him: "I've finished speaking, and the decision is in your hands."

...

Shire's words may be wrong, but they are very suitable in the context of the current era.

The elves are sensitive and pay attention to being upright in everything. Conspiracy or use of dirty means will be despised by all elves.

So the unstable willed people who were bewitched by Angelos's language before were awakened and annoyed, and the eyes looking at Angelos could not hide their disgust.

In fact, being able to come here proves that they already agree with Shire. Unless Shire keeps shrank and does not stand up, there will be no serious accidents.

If Angelos could justify this, he might have a chance to turn the tables, but for some reason, he was pale and trembling all over.

The outsider was not sure about the inside story, and thought he was ashamed and scared, so he even more despised. At this moment, Calebdill suddenly stepped forward, knelt on one knee to Charles, and swore allegiance.

The elves standing around him followed suit, and then all the Nando elves surrounding the clearings followed these tribesmen and knelt on the ground toward Charles' chest and read the oath.
