Chapter 1 The Wild Tomb

On the Jiawu month of the Bingshen year, it is not advisable to have funerals, break the ground, and sacrifice.

However, on a deserted hillside in Jianzhou City, a few candles were lit strangely, like an old ghost carrying an oil lamp. From a distance, it was creepy and chilling.

"I don't know what my dad thinks. Superstition ruins my life!"

A young man squatted on the hillside, holding a candle in one hand and a lighter in the other, and said to himself depressedly: "I heard that there are many beauties in college, but now it's fine, nothing is gone! Hiss, this ghost place is really a bit gloomy! Your neck always feels cool."

There was no wind on the hill, but the lighter was not lit strangely several times.

Three months ago, Yan Ning's father died of illness. The only last words he gave Yan Ning were not to learn hard or make a name for himself, but to remind him to stay on this mountain with incense and candles as in the past seventeen years on his 18th birthday.

During this period, the incense and candle cannot be broken, and you can leave until the next day when the rooster crows.

What’s hard is that this year’s birthday is his college entrance examination day!

Although Yan Ning didn't know the meaning of staying here for a night, he still followed his father's last words and gave up the college entrance examination.

Finally lit the incense and candle, he pierced the yellow soil, picked a clean haystack and sat down.

In front of him, there was a loess pit, and there was a dark tombstone in front of the pit. The tombstone had no surname or name, and it fell alone among the weeds. Several fireflies quietly emitted green light around the tombstone, making them even more gloomy and terrifying.

"Yang Shitian? What do you think I owe you? I will come to accompany you every year to suffer this crime!" Yan Ning knew that this was a deserted tomb, and the incense in front of him was burning for this guy.

In the past seventeen years, Yan Ning has always been with his father. He was not worried about anything when he had his father before, but now he is spending the night here alone, facing a deserted grave, and can't help but feel a little scared, afraid that a ghost covered in blood would suddenly emerge from the land and swallow him alive.

"Yan Ning..."

A shout suddenly came from behind Yan Ning, the sound was a little ethereal and faint.

He was shocked and looked back, but no one saw it. He was immediately scared: "Grandma, can't you really hit a ghost?"

Yan Ning stood up with a thorn in his teeth, and was immediately frightened by the scene in front of him and sat on the ground again. He saw that there was a woman's head on the old locust tree not far behind him!

The woman's head kept swaying on the tree, her expression was a little painful and looked very strange.

Yan Ning looked carefully and found that there was a hole in the trunk of the locust tree, and the woman's head was drilled out of the hole.

"Are you a human or a ghost?" Yan Ning took two steps back, picked up a big stone, ready to smash it at any time.

The woman is somewhat beautiful, with fair skin and beautiful appearance, and her eyes are charming, but at this time her expression is distorted and her face is blue and purple.

Yan Ning asked again: "Are you stuck in the tree hole and can't get out?"

The woman nodded twice, and Yan Ning felt relieved and secretly rejoiced in her heart: It's scary, scary! This woman looks about the same age as me, this lonely man and widow, I'll rescue her later, and something might happen!

Yan Ning smiled and walked over with a candle.

The old locust tree is very big, and there is indeed a small hole on the tree, with feet exposed in it.

Yan Ning couldn't figure out how this woman would be so boring. If he hadn't happened to be here, this woman might have killed herself.

Yan Ning walked to the locust tree and grabbed the woman's ankle and was about to pull it out, but suddenly he found that the heels of the feet were facing out. When he looked up, the woman was facing him. Isn't this woman's head facing behind her?

After discovering this, Yan Ning was so scared that he was out of control, but he did not dare to turn his head and run away. He looked at the woman secretly, and the woman's head was still struggling.

While struggling, Yan Ning found that there were green scales on her neck. Only then did Yan Ning confirm that the woman in front of her was really not a human being, and she had met a monster.

"Uh, sister, you're stuck a little tightly. I can't do anything to you. Why don't I call the police? You can bear it anymore."

Yan Ning had already decided to retreat and had long forgotten his father's words and wanted to run away.

The woman's head suddenly stopped struggling, and her eyes were staring at Yan Ning.

Suddenly, she opened her mouth and actually spit out her thin and long tongue, with a strange fork on the tip of her tongue. This was clearly the snake core!

"Damn!" Yan Ning shouted, turned around and ran away. The woman sneered and crawled out of the tree hole. She turned out to be a snake demon with a human head and a snake body!

Yan Ning had never seen such a terrible scene in his life. He was so scared that he sat on the ground. He wanted to run away, but his legs were out of control. He had to watch the snake demon slowly emerge from the tree hole.

The snake demon soon drilled out of the tree hole, and Yan Ning saw its true face clearly: it was a beautiful snake with green all over the body. Its body was nearly five meters long, and the thickest part was thicker than Yan Ning's head. It had a human face, and a cold and cruel smile appeared on its delicate face.

Yan Ning looked at the tree hole again and saw a headless corpse slipping out of the tree hole. The feet just now belonged to this guy.

Only then did Yan Ning realize that an unlucky buddy had been killed in front of him.

The snake demon spitted out the snake core and was extremely fast. In the blink of an eye, he climbed in front of Yan Ning. His eyes as big as light bulbs flashed with a suffocating cold light. Yan Ning could even count how many fangs there were in the snake demon's mouth!

The snake demon first sniffed Yan Ning's smell, and Yan Ning quickly said, "I haven't taken a shower for three months, it's so smelly. Why don't you let me take a shower first?"

The snake demon's face shook, and suddenly opened its mouth, its lips even cracked to its ears, and it rushed towards Yan Ning fiercely.

Yan Ning didn't have time to dodge, so he smashed the stone in his hand hard in desperation. Unexpectedly, the snake demon's eyes hit the snake demon's half of its face sunk into a deeper look.

"Hiss--" The snake demon let out a painful scream, and the snake's tail quickly wrapped around Yan Ning, tying him tightly like a bundle of rice dumplings. Yan Ning suddenly had difficulty breathing and could not move.

It's over, I'm going to die this time! Dad, I really believe in your evil spirit! Yan Ning thought with great depression.

"A evil beast! The dignified ghost emperor... how can you get involved in him?!"

A shout suddenly came from the night sky, like a meteor crossing the sky. As soon as he finished speaking, Yan Ning felt his whole body relaxed and turned around to look at the snake demon, whose head was still different!

"Boy, are you okay?"

Yan Ning turned around and found that there was a ragged middle-aged man standing in the deserted grave he had paid homage to. The man looked weak and unarmed, but Yan Ning knew that he had killed the terrifying snake demon just now.

"What? Are you stupid?"

The man jumped out of the deserted grave and reached out to pat Yan Ning on the shoulder. Yan Ning didn't feel anything. He looked down and saw that the man's hand had actually penetrated his body. This time Yan Ning was really scared and rolled and crawled back several steps: "Ghost!"

The man rolled his eyes helplessly: "What a ghost? Is there anyone who calls his savior like this?"

Yan Ning then remembered the man who saved him, and felt a little prepared. He looked at the man in front of him carefully and found that although he looked weak, he had a strange righteousness in his eyebrows, just like... his class teacher.

"Then what should I call you?"
