Chapter 10 The Difference Between Immortals and Buddhas

Linghu Chengye sighed in his heart: "The name Linghu Yu was chosen by me personally. Yu means treasure. Yu'er is like our treasure. I have always avoided them, but I am a little afraid of the embarrassing situation when I meet them. I didn't expect that our father and son would meet in such an occasion today."

The boy in front of him looked at the eyebrows and looked at him, but he was not like the descendants of the Linghu family as a whole.

The people in the Linghu family all have thick eyebrows and big eyes and straightforward appearance, but most of the Linghu Yu's facial features inherit Su Yun's appearance, with clear eyebrows and beautiful eyes, and a strong scholarly spirit.

Linghu Chengye's eyes were filled with tears, and he looked at Linghu Yu slowly walked towards him with some excitement and said to himself: "Son, I didn't expect you to grow up so old now."

Linghu Chengye's abnormal expression was discovered by Linghu Yu. Chengyi and Chengzhi in the distance also discovered something wrong with Linghu Chengye. They both wanted to come forward to remind him, but because Gu Zhihong and Linghu Yu were present, they could not go and stop him, so they could only think of another way.

Just as Linghu Chengye was mixed with emotions and slowly stepped forward as if he was about to recognize Linghu Yu, Chengyi's voice suddenly came from his ears: "Chengye, you are no longer Linghu Yu's father, so don't miss it."

After hearing Chengyi's words, Linghu Chengye retreated bravely, and his heart finally calmed down.

He lowered his head, wiped away the tears in his eyes, and quickly walked to Linghu Yu and smiled: "A Yu, I didn't expect to meet you here. A few days ago, your grandfather said we'll go see you together."

Linghu Yu looked unhappy and said, "I know you. One and a half years after my father passed away, my grandmother gave birth to you, and she actually gave you the same name as my father."

Linghu Chengye saw Yu'er's unhappiness and explained with a smile: "This may be because the two old men miss their elder brother, so don't think I'm younger than you, but my seniority is older than you, you should call me uncle."

Linghu Yu turned his face and said coldly: "I dare not get involved in the relationship between the child prodigy."

Gu Zhihong also saw Linghu Yu's displeasure. In order to ease the atmosphere, he smiled and said, "Haha, I didn't expect you to have such a relationship."

Linghu Yu asked and answered: "Let's go, otherwise the English tutoring will not be able to catch up with it in a while."

Gu Zhihong turned to Linghu Chengye and said, "Little Prodigy, I'm sorry, I have to go to make up for the lessons, I have to leave first, let's talk later."

"Okay, you're busy." Linghu Chengye suppressed the surging inside and said in a panic look.

Looking at the backs of Linghu Yu and Gu Zhihong leaving, Linghu Chengye sat back on the chair in disappointment. Chengzhi and Chengyi hurried over when they saw the two of them leaving.

Chengyi comforted, "Chengye, are you okay? How did the girl you chose know Linghu Yu? The child Linghu Yu is the same, how did he meet the people of the Linghu family? " Chengzhi frowned and looked at Linghu Chengye with concern.

Linghu Chengye said: "They are classmates, so of course they know each other. It seems they were tutoring together during the summer vacation."

Chengzhi also stood up for Chengye and said, "What's the matter? My son robs me of a woman."

"Tsk! What are you talking nonsense?" Cheng Yi glared at Cheng Zhi and blamed him.

"I'm comforting him!" Cheng Zhi explained with some grievance.

Linghu Chengye took a deep breath and said, "Why is it my turn to comfort me, a woman, as for me? It's just the first time I have met Yu'er since I was reincarnated, and I'm a little excited. This child has never been to his grandparents since I died. There must be a hidden secret here that I don't know. Alas~ I can't meet Su Yun now."

Chengyi said: "You have to remember that you are no longer the Linghu Chengye of the past. Lord Bao has left behind the memories of your past life, but I don't want to see what you are now."

Chengye rubbed his face and said, "I know, I just didn't control myself for a while. Forget it, it's not appropriate to go on a blind date today."

Chengzhi asked indifferently, "That means you won't be able to buy this Gu Zhihong?"

Linghu Chengye smiled and said, "Have you never heard of the saying: 'Famousness can give way to profits, but women cannot give way to them'?"

Chengzhi approached Chengye and said with an exaggerated expression: "You mean you can also rob your son's woman?"

"Fuck, where did you see that he is my son's woman? If it were really my daughter-in-law, could I rob him?" Linghu Chengye said excitedly.

Chengzhi hurriedly said, "Look at you, you said it's okay, your face turned green, just pretend I didn't ask."

Linghu Chengye lowered his head and said, "I gave up my beloved woman for my brothers in my previous life, but I found that when I quit, they did not get the happiness they imagined. So as long as I like in this life, no matter who comes to grab it, I will not let it go."

"Why do you rob it? You didn't see that others were following your son?" Cheng Zhi said with his neck twitching.

Linghu Chengye smiled and said, "What do you know? This is just the beginning. The colder she is to me, the more excited I am! I only met for the first time today, just leave an impression on her."

Chengyi gave a thumbs up in front of Chengye and said, "I have a talent, I'm cruel enough."

Linghu Chengye gave Chengyi a blank look and said, "Let's go, now you go to the 'Kongfa Temple'. It's time to do some serious business."

Chengyi asked, "Are we going to visit Master Daodi?"

Chengye nodded and replied, "Well, the Six Paths of Reincarnation Mantra has saved me so many times, how could I not go to visit me? The purpose of this trip was to ask Master Daodi to accept me as a lay disciple. I found that the mantra is easier to deal with those things."

Chengyi argued: "Hey! This is a bad statement. Could it be that the immortal techniques of Chengzhi and I are inferior to your spell?"

Linghu Chengye said: "It's not that you are bad, I just want to find the most suitable method for me." After that, he stood up and left.

Chengzhi and Chengyi followed closely behind, and the three of them called a taxi to go straight to Kongfa Temple in Dongcheng.

Kongfa Temple, with green tiles and white walls and stone slabs paved the floor, a style of architectural style in the Qing Dynasty. The three Linghu brothers got out of the car and swayed to the gate of Kongfa Temple. Before one foot had even stepped into the gate, they were stopped by two young monks, meaning: Idle people are not allowed to enter and play is prohibited.

Linghu Chengye stood at the door, folded his hands together and said slowly, "Amitabha, I am here to find Master Daodi. Please inform the two masters."

The two young monks guarding the door looked at the half-grown child in front of him, and then looked at the two primary school students wearing school uniforms behind him. They looked at each other, both of them disbelief, agreed, and refused, and stood there in place without moving.

Linghu Chengye was not angry and continued to ask: "Two masters, I am here to find Master Daodi. I have something to do. I hope I can inform you, and I will ask me to see him if Linghu's son is looking for him."

"Okay, wait." One of the young monks finally agreed impatiently and turned to the inner hall.

After a while, the little monk walked out and said in a calm tone: "Please come from the three little donors."

Linghu Chengye nodded to the little monk and walked in with him. Chengzhi and Chengyi also followed behind and entered. When Chengzhi passed by the little monk who was staying at the door, he deliberately looked up with his head raised and gave the little monk a blank look with his bull eyes.

Although the young monk was a little dissatisfied, he still looked at him without squinting.

Linghu Chengye followed the little monk around the front hall and came to the inner courtyard. The little monk walked to a corner on the east side, and said without knocking on the door and saying, "Abbot, the three little donors have arrived."

A voice came from inside the room and said, "Oh, let them come in." The little monk signaled Linghu Chengye to go in and then turned around and left.

Linghu Chengye turned around and said to Chengyi and Chengzhi: "You are waiting here. Monks like to be quiet. It is not good if we go in too much."

The two nodded, and Linghu Chengye put down his clothes and pushed the door open.

When I opened the door, there was a row of bookshelf facing me. When I looked inward, I saw an old man wearing a golden monk robe with his eyes closed, chanting Buddha strings in his hand, sitting cross-legged on the kang unique to the northeast. The wall behind the old man was framed with a large word "Zen".

Linghu Chengye closed the door and said in a humble tone: "Boy Linghu Chengye, see Master Daodi."

Master Daodi opened his eyes and smiled, "Haha, you have to be polite. I haven't seen your father for many years. How can he be safe?"

"My father has always been healthy, thank you for your concern."

"Your father is generous, kind and generous, and does not care about the details. He has a great relationship with my Buddha. I slander said that the young donor came this time, probably not your father's intention. I wonder what difficult things the young donor encountered, so I want me to help?"

Linghu Chengye said in surprise: "The master is really a magical idea. I am still thinking about how to tell you. Who knows that you guessed it before you even opened your mouth."

"Even though the little donor said frankly, I don't know what happened, even the little prodigy in our city was stumped."

Linghu Chengye knelt on the ground with a pounce, bowed his head and said, "Please accept me as a lay disciple to teach me the method of exorcism of Vajra."

Master Daodi was not surprised by Linghu Chengye's actions and said slowly: "Please come up with a little donor. When I see you today, I feel that the little donor's fairy bone is outstanding. I'm afraid you have come to the wrong place."

Linghu Chengye still kept kneeling and said, "Whether it is the immortal bone or the Buddha bone, as long as I can get rid of demons and demons, I am willing to try it. Why should the master stick to the sect?"

"Let's talk about it later."

Linghu Chengye thought for a while, stood up, Daodian raised his hand and said, "Little donor, please sit down." Linghu Chengye sat down as he said.

Daudi said lightly: "I am not a stubborn person. A few years ago, an iron doctor came to this city to cure all kinds of diseases and rejuvenate her. As long as she spends money, she can even kill people's life and death, increase life and change each other's life. But I heard that she disappeared inexplicably a few days ago. This matter must be related to the little donor."

Linghu Chengye was shocked, but he did not reveal it. He said lightly: "I have heard of this, but how could the master think it has something to do with me?"

Master Daodi closed his eyes and said slowly: "The word "du" in Buddhism is not what the little donor thought. The donor has already achieved great success on the other road, so he should stick to it."

Linghu Chengye thought for a moment and said, "Master, you said there is another way, but there is no way in front of me. I don't know where to go, so why is another way?"

Master Daodi smiled faintly and said, "The donor is very enlightened. I have a book called "The Original Vow of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" here and I will give it to the little donor to go back to comprehend. It is not in vain for the little donor to come here." After that, he took out a book of sutras and handed it to Linghu Chengye.

Linghu Chengye stood up and took the scriptures and thanked him: "Thank you, Master."

"You don't have to be polite, please say hello to donor Linghu on my behalf."

"Boy will definitely bring you here. Goodbye Master." Linghu Chengye bowed and left Master Daodi's room.

Seeing Linghu Chengye retreating, Chengzhi and Chengyi hurriedly walked over. Their concerning eyes made Linghu Chengye feel a little anxious and waved, "Go back."

After leaving the temple gate, Linghu Chengyi asked, "Chengye, did Master Daodi accept you as his disciple?" Linghu Chengye raised the book in his hand and said, "He confiscated me, and said, what I thought was different from his."

"Then what book did he give you?"

"The Sutra of the Original Vow of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva."

"Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva..." Linghu Chengyi lowered his head and thought for a moment, and suddenly said, "Chengye, do you know that King Yama was the incarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva."

Linghu Chengye said in surprise: "What? Are you sure?"

Chengyi said: "I just heard of it."

Linghu Chengye frowned and said, "I also said that there is a difference between immortals and Buddhas, but how do you explain this?"

Chengyi said: "Master Daodi's explanation is in this book. Although I don't understand Buddhism, I can tell you a story..."
