Chapter 22 Model Dolls

Lanze stared at the model baby in stunned silence; the model also looked at him, as if performing a human expression called "grievance".

"Isn't this great?" Director Liu pushed the headphones on the side of his head, turned around, opened the door and went out.

"Wait...wait a minute!" Lanze awkwardly held the baby model in his arms, as if he had lost the ability to walk.

The model turned to look at Director Liu at the door with him.

Director Liu turned around.

"This thing can run around on its own," Lan Ze said awkwardly, "The difficulty seems a bit high?"

"Ah...that's what real human babies are like. They finally come to the outside world, so they are curious and lively, and they really want to explore for themselves." Director Liu replied, "You just need to follow, don't want it to do anything."

Stop things in time. Only by giving more touch can you build a trusting relationship as quickly as possible."

"I know this..." Lanze sighed at the baby model. "I'm just practicing holding a baby. Why is it so troublesome?"

"Well, yes." Before the door was completely closed, he seemed to see Director Liu smiling.

"You saw it too, right?" Lanze asked the model baby.

"Yeah!" The model nodded.

……What the hell.

Lanze soon discovered that the system settings of the model meant that you could only pick it up when it "wanted to be held." If you picked it up when it "didn't want to be held," the model would twist and twist.

If the movement is violent, an alarm sound will sound.

Okay, not an alarm, just a baby squealing.

Babies at this stage cannot speak, but they are very expressive.

There are two main types: screaming, which expresses displeasure, considerable dissatisfaction, and severe dissatisfaction. The intensity and duration of the sound are directly proportional to the degree of dissatisfaction, as we have already seen.

Another kind of "oh-oh-oh" is quite intelligent. It usually stretches out a finger, points in a certain direction, and makes a short sound of "oh-oh-oh".

Well, this generally means

Ask: "What is this?"

I want: "Give it to me."

Please do me a favor: "Pass the thing." or "Pass me."

And so on.

The problem is that it takes time to observe what the baby (even though it is just a model) actually means. If you guess wrong about the unknown "oh-oh-oh", you will most likely be greeted with "ah"

"Ahhh" scream.

After several times, Lanze had become calm about the harsh (un)alarm sound.

So when does a baby want to be held? This also requires close observation.

Throughout the morning, the model baby asked to crawl on the floor, reached out and asked to be lifted high, and asked for help to get the baby teaching aids in the room. Lan Ze has successfully discovered: If you ignore it, it will definitely

Let out a high-pitched scream; but if you clearly wave your hand and say "no", the model will just squawk a little, and then forget about it.

Even if the doll pulls his hair, he can object and move the doll away at the same time.

The doll screamed in protest for a short while, then stopped and turned its attention to other things.

Throughout the morning, I was very nervous because I needed to keep observing at all times. Although it didn’t take long to hold the model, it was actually quite tiring.

During the lunch break, the model did not stop running. Lanze hesitated again and again, feeling responsible for the idle equipment in the room, so he had no choice but to take it with him to the cafeteria.

Lanze has mastered the strange skill of picking up the doll with one hand under his arm.

While the model doll was crawling around and groping around on the floor of the room, Lanze took aim at it and took the time to check the information. Such actions would not cause any harm to the real baby.

The model baby was carried in his hands several times, but it did not make any alarm sound to express displeasure.

But carrying it out like this doesn't seem to be a good idea.

So, he took the initiative to change his actions.

Holding a naked child (even though it was a model), it was indeed quite eye-catching. All the aunties and sisters I met gave her a kind smile.

Moreover, the director's aunt didn't lie to him, the food was really good.

The buffet is especially rich in fruits and vegetables. As expected of a nursery with a kindergarten as its subsidiary unit.

Working meals are free for regular employees, but volunteers are charged based on the number of meals. According to the rules, you can only go to the buffet after finishing the standard meal.

The only problem with the standard set meal was that there was a little too much rice. There was also an unknown aunt who passed by his table and specifically told him: "If you don't have enough rice, you can add more~"

As a tough fat man who doesn't like rice, Lanze nodded sadly and thanked him.

The model sat in his arms, yelling "o-o-o" and asking to play with the spoon.

He handed the spoon to the model doll. He stood up holding the model and took another spoon.

The model once again let out its primal chirp-like cry and reached out to grab his second spoon.

After struggling for a moment, Lanze gave the second spoon to the model doll. He sat back down and ate lunch with chopsticks.

The model doll banged the two spoons in its hands "pop-pop" vigorously, showing an "elated" emotion.

While Lanze was chewing his lunch, he thought of a surprising question: "Do real babies not need to rest?"

Yes!

Sitting in the restaurant, the results of the bracelet query told him: real babies, except for sleeping a few hours more than adults, are always active.

On average, 12 hours of sleep is enough for a newborn. Including daytime naps, it generally does not exceed 14 hours.

This stage lasts from 20 months to 50 months, which is about 4 years old. Toddlers aged 4 to 6 need slightly less sleep, generally more than 10 hours is enough. Fetuses at a younger age

After sleeping all day, even unborn babies aged 12 to 20 months are awake nearly half of the day.

From this, Lanze judged that the intensity of daily labor in a nursery seemed to be quite worth looking forward to.

Forget about the model sitting on his lap and writhing now. It's just a prop to get familiar with the baby's characteristics.

Real babies, in addition to having curiosity and alarm sounds, are wearing clothes.

Therefore, it seems very difficult to put on clothes, change diapers, take off dirty clothes, and feed these little animals without their cooperation.

The work of a zookeeper is logically similar to that of taking care of babies. However, humans are the smartest among primates. Although they are just newborn larvae and have not yet had time to use their respiratory system to speak, they can already speak.

The whistling sounds of the respiratory system are used quite skillfully. Such a baby should be more difficult to use his brain than most animals, right?

The assessment indicator for the day's training is the total time the model baby was correctly picked up in one day.

This was mentioned in the training instructions, and Lan Ze had seen it a long time ago. He had also known the detailed requirements for "picking up correctly", including "the baby does not show resistance". However, he saw it after seeing it.

, didn’t take it seriously.

His understanding of the word "correct" is completely different in the morning and in the afternoon.

In the morning, he could only realize that the posture should be standard and regulated.
