Chapter 370 Scrimgeour's Invitation
After July began, although the emotions of wizards in the magic world gradually stabilized and many people no longer panic about the resurrection of the mysterious man, the internal public opinion in the British magic world still revolved around the Death Eater.
That is, the day after Sherlock visited Mrs. Matthew, the Ministry of Magic held a trial to interrogate the arrested Death Eaters.
The subjects of interrogation were former director of the Magic and Sports Department, Ludo Bagman, former principal of Demstrong, Igor Kakarov, and more than a dozen other Death Eaters who were arrested by Auror at the scene of Sherlock's battle with Voldemort afterwards.
Sherlock, an important witness, and Dumbledore, the chief wizard of Wizards' Court of Wisengamo, naturally attended all the trials today.
Sclinger is a tough wizard. He hates evil like a grudge. Of course, he will not cover up these Death Eaters who have proven evidence and are guilty of being established.
Kakarov and Bagman were sentenced to life imprisonment in court because of their extremely bad nature. Other Death Eaters were also taken away by the dementors after the trial and sentenced to varying degrees of sentences respectively.
But except for Sclinger and other senior officials in the Ministry of Magic, sherlock and Dumbledore frowned.
They knew very well that after Harry was attacked by the dementor a few days ago, the prisoners in Azkaban were likely to be unreliable. The safest way now is to lock high-level prisoners like Bagman in a secret prison that was specifically guarded by wizards, to prevent the rebellion of the dementors and to completely fall the entire Azkaban.
But Sclinger obviously did not listen to Dumbledore's advice. Everyone in the Ministry of Magic knew that Dumbledore did not trust those dementors. He always advocated that as a magical government, he should not have any involvement with such monsters.
So, for granted, they also regarded his advice as a very conventional method of opposing dementors.
Dumbledore had no choice but to do anything about this. After the trial, he seemed to have other important things. He did not talk to Sherlock. He just explained that he would attend the award ceremony of Sherlock tomorrow, and then left in a hurry.
When Sherlock came out of the Inquisition, he happened to meet Mr. Weasley, and talked to him for a few words, and was not going to stay in the Ministry of Magic to leave, an emotional voice suddenly rang behind him.
"Mr. Forrest."
Sherlock and Mr. Weasley look back together.
The person who called him was Percy. He did not call Sherlock Professor as before, but used the title of Mr.
After seeing his third son, Mr. Weasley's smile when he talked to Sherlock before was restrained. He turned a blind eye to Percy and nodded to Sherlock.
"Then I'll go and try your Aunt Molly's craftsmanship more when I have time."
"I'll go."
Mr. Weasley turned and left without hesitation. Percy seemed to have never seen him as a father, and the father and son were strangers.
After Mr. Weasley left, Percy spoke to Sherlock with a faint voice.
"Minister Sclinger has something to come to you and wants to invite you to the office."
Sherlock thought for a moment, without rejecting Sclinger's invitation, nodded and walked side by side with Percy in the direction of the minister's office.
Gu Pu
Neither of them talked much along the way, Percy obviously didn't want to talk, and Sherlock had no intention of persuading him to turn back.
Even Mrs. Weasley could cruelly refuse to keep out of the door. Sherlock didn't feel that relying on his two or three words, the three sons of the Weasley family, whose ambitions had already suppressed their family affection, could change their minds.
Taking Sherlock to the door of the minister's office, Percy knocked on the door lightly. When the sound came out of it, he opened the door and asked Sherlock to go in, and he stood outside the door.
Sherlock walked into the minister's office, where Sclinger was sitting alone at the desk. His desk was filled with documents from various departments. This witch, who looked like a lion, did not look relaxed, both in character and appearance.
But he did not show any sign of fatigue in front of outsiders.
As a leader with strong wrists and firm beliefs, Sclinger's personal character is unquestionable.
After seeing Sherlock come in, he didn't mean to show any expression, and a chair jumped out of the wall.
"Please sit, Professor Forrest."
While saying that, he waved a newly written decree in his hand into the air, and the paper turned into a paper airplane, then passed through the door of the minister's office and headed to the department it should have gone to.
Putting down the work in his hand temporarily, Sclinger then looked at Sherlock who had already sat down. His expression was always so serious.
"This should be our first official meeting, Professor Forrest. I am still impressed by your performance that night. The photo from the Prophet Daily was cut down and posted on the wall opposite my house. I can see it every time I go home. The so-called black devil is not that invincible."
He did not want to condemn or get angry about the fact that Sherlock ignored the Ministry of Magic's orders a few days ago and forced Harry to Dumbledore forcibly condemning or getting angry. Instead, he did not hide his admiration for Sherlock in his tone.
"That time, I was just my luck. You were too honored by Mr. Minister."
Sherlock said in a humble and arrogant manner that he was not a child, and of course he could hear that Sclinger said these words, definitely not simply praise him.
Sclinger's expression became serious.
"Then let's talk less today. I have never liked to beat around the bush. I want to hire you to serve as Ministerial Advisor in the Ministry of Magic."
Sherlock frowned.
"I think I have already said my thoughts before, Mr. Minister, I have no intention of coming to the Ministry of Magic, nor have I ever resigned from the position of Professor Hogwarts."
Hearing his face rejection in person, Sclinger's face did not change any, but waved his hand and said.
"I know you don't want to leave Hogwarts, so I just want you to come to the Ministry of Magic as a ministerial consultant. This position has no actual job, it's just a simple identity, and it has no effect on you being a professor in Hogwarts."
Sherlock immediately understood Sclinger's thoughts. After he knew that neither Sherlock nor Harry could win the Ministry of Magic, he chose to take a step back.
