Chapter 4 Wands and Magic

【Dear Mr. Forrest:】

[Because of some minor accidents, there has been new progress in the previous discussions about your visit to Hogwarts and Dumbledore. The process of the matter is a bit complicated and it is not convenient to explain it clearly in the letter, so I will visit your house on time at 7:20 pm on July 3rd.]

[Minerva McGregor, Vice President of Hogwarts School of Magic -]

The content of the letter was very short, just like the above sentence, but the message conveyed in this sentence made Sherlock restless.

Minerva McGonagall.

Of course he knew who the name was.

In the only Harry Potter book that Sherlock has read in full, he has paid a lot of attention to the Vice President of Hogwarts and the Dean of Gryffindor College.

She is obviously an extremely decent person with a strict teaching attitude.

The Dumbledore mentioned in the letter is the principal of the Hogwarts Magic School, the most powerful positive character in the whole story - Albus Dumbledore!

The original owner went to Hogwarts to discuss matters with Dumbledore before. Now, because of this matter, Vice President McGonagall is coming to see him?

Today's date is July 3rd, which means that in five hours, the famous witch will visit?

But the key to the problem is that after Sherlock traveled to this world, he did not gain any gold fingers, and he did not inherit the original owner's memory.

He knew nothing about the original owner's previous life and experience.

If there is a hospital in a normal world where an amnesia diagnosis certificate issued to him, he can still rely on this to fool him.

But if it were in the magic world, could amnesia really become an excuse to explain the past?

If Professor McGonagall arrives, Sherlock declares that he has lost his memory and cannot remember anything before.

What is the most likely move that witch is to do?

Use magic directly on him to detect whether he is really amnesia?

Or should he take him to a hospital in the magic world for a magical treatment?

Or should he bring him to the famous white wizard Dumbledore and let him determine his current situation?

No matter which of these three possibilities is possible, sherlock is not acceptable.

Because every possibility will make others discover that he is not the original Sherlock, but a time traveler from another world.

And he is also very clear about the future development and changes of this world.

No one can predict what they will do to Sherlock later.

The woman in the photo frame on the wall had stopped insulting and screaming. She seemed to be tired of scolding, and fell asleep with her head tilted and her snoring sound.

But Sherlock was holding the letter in his hand in the study, paced back and forth uneasy.

This is obviously the first crisis he encountered after traveling to this world, and it is extremely difficult and may even be fatal.

It is impossible to escape, nor can it be escaped.

He had to find a way to deal with Professor McGonagall's visit tonight, and at least he could understand the original owner's personality and habits first, so that there should be no big mistakes in conversation and communication.

It is now two o'clock in the afternoon, and there are only 5 hours left before the time agreed in the letter.

Sherlock was very nervous, and his greatest hope was placed in this study.

Since I have received a letter from Hogwarts, I will have such a study room and so many magic books at home.

This proves that the original owner is also a wizard who graduated from Hogwarts.

Although the decorations and furnishings outside a wizard's home are a bit special, it can be seen that the owner of the house was deliberately concealing his identity as a wizard during the decoration process.

And this study room is his secret stronghold and it is also a storage room where he stores all items about the magical world.

Sherlock walked to the desk, and the tea in the tea cup was still emitting warm water vapor.

A floating candlestick always hovered above the desk, illuminating the area where the owners usually stayed most often.

In addition to the teapot and tea cup, there are also thick notebooks, a beige quill pen inserted in an ink bottle, and a small wooden stick on the desk.

Sherlock, who has learned what kind of world this world is, of course, would not naively think that the small wooden root is really just an ordinary small wooden stick.

Even those who have never seen Harry Potter will hear about the existence of the "Wand", a must-have spellcasting tool for wizards, on various other occasions.

The little wooden stick lying on the desk was obviously Sherlock's magic wand.

He gently picked up the wand with a smooth and straight surface and a length of about 13 inches (about 33 cm). A wonderful feeling surged into his heart the moment his fingers touched the wand.

It seemed that something in his body was seduced by this magic wand and was about to emerge.

Sherlock did not deliberately suppress it, and the magical thing surged from his body to the wand.

The next moment, a cluster of silver sparks came out cheering from the tip of the stick.

Seeing this scene, Sherlock knew very well what the creep that just gushed out of his body was.

Magic - the source of wizard's ability.

And although that cluster of silver sparks looks extremely simple, it can also be called magic!

Sherlock's eyes were filled with excitement. As long as he was a normal person, no one would be uninterested in magic.

But soon he came back to his senses from his excitement.

Now is not the time for him to feel the mystery of magic, Professor McGonagall is about to come.

If he had not dealt with this level, let alone magic, he would not even be able to guarantee his personal safety.

Sherlock put down the wand in his hand, picked up the teacup on the desk, drank the slightly hot tea inside, and began to search for every detail in the study room in a complete manner.

The first goal he checked brought him an incredible reward.

The thick stack of notebooks placed on the desk, the top of which was actually the original owner's diary!

Unexpectedly, the original owner, who is as thick-eyed and big-eyed, looks handsome, has the habit of writing diaries.

But now Sherlock is not in a leisurely mood, is the original owner a reluctant?

Having a diary means that he has a way to understand the original owner's past and also adds great confidence to him through this level tonight.

Open the diary and the first article of this diary was recorded 5 years ago.

“April 12, 1987.”

"Mary broke up with me today. She said I was like a giant monster's head. The ones that were in my mind were not only learning but also learning. I didn't know anything about it. I had such a good appearance in vain."

"I actually know what she was talking about. She had already signaled that day and wanted me to kiss her in the auditorium, but at the beginning, the reason why I promised to be her boyfriend was just to study the feeling of love."

"It's a pity that she didn't bring me any feelings, so I was responsible for both her and me, and I didn't choose to kiss her."

"Until now, I have not felt that getting along with the opposite sex can bring people any strange feeling, so love is likely not suitable for me."

"History proves that those masters of success and fame do not need extra things like love, just like Professor Dumbledore."
