Chapter 155: Holiday(1/2)

The exam is over, everyone has ushered in the long-awaited vacation, and is about to face the pain of separation.

Tonight's banquet will be the last gathering of this school year.

The auditorium was crowded, and everyone sat neatly on their long tables.

It was full of noise, like the beginning of school.

A year has passed like this. Time flies, but a lot of things have happened.

Everyone came, whether it was Madam Pomfrey, Madam Pince, or Filch, they all sat at the guest table.

This night, except for the auditorium, there will be no one in the castle.

However, the big golden chair in the center of the guest seat was still empty.

The Great Hall was decorated in the blue and silver colors representing Ravenclaw.

On the wall behind the guest of honor seat hung a huge banner depicting the Ravenclaw eagle.

These all indicate who the protagonist is tonight. Professor Flitwick in the guest seat has already put on a bright smile.

Just when Professor McGonagall was complaining to her old best friend that Dumbledore hadn't come yet, Dumbledore walked in with steady steps.

Dumbledore came to his seat and stood with his hands raised.

Soon, the noise in the auditorium died down.

Crossing his fingers, Dumbledore put his hand on his lower abdomen and said happily:

"Another year has passed!"

"Before you enjoy these treasures on a jade plate, please listen to the clichés of an old man like me."

"It's been a wonderful and ridiculous year!"

"Absurd, I believe everyone noticed my choice of words."

"There have been so many changes this year that as an old man like me, I can hardly recognize this castle."

Dumbledore laughed at himself, and many young wizards also smiled, as did the professors.

If you think about it carefully, it is true that the changes this year have been too great.

Not to mention Dumbledore, even the old students couldn't adapt.

On the contrary, the first-year students adapt best.

"Everyone is aware of the changes, so I won't bother an old man describing them."

"Compared to the beginning of school, everyone's little minds must be much richer than before..."

"There is a whole summer vacation waiting for you, which will allow you to digest the knowledge in your head before the start of the next semester and free up your brain for writing..."

The rambling words did not make everyone yawn, but instead they listened with interest.

Next, it was the turn of the topic, and the Ravenclaw students unconsciously sat upright.

"Now, let's start with the Academy Cup award ceremony. The rankings of each academy are as follows: Fourth place, Gryffindor, huh?"

Dumbledore looked at the Gryffindor table, frowned, and paused before speaking:

"10 points."

Many Gryffindors lowered their heads, and some even covered their ears.

However, the boos expected by the little lions did not come out.

They looked at the other long tables in astonishment. The cold encouragement, gentle encouragement and provocative encouragement all made their hearts warm.

Dumbledore, including all the faculty and staff, looked at this scene with great relief.

How many years have passed! Hogwarts has never seemed so united.

Dumbledore clapped his hands to attract everyone's attention.

….

"Third place, Hufflepuff, 439 points!"

The Hufflepuffs applauded themselves!

Gryffindor also gave them applause.

In the end, everyone, including the faculty and staff, applauded.

"Second place, Slytherin, 572 points!"

Slytherin didn't applaud, but Gryffindor gave them a round of applause, so they had to join the others in applauding.

.Everyone, please go and try it soon.]

"First place, Ravenclaw!"

Dumbledore glanced at everyone and said: "635 points!"

"Wow!"

The cheers of all girls rang out in Ravenclaw, and the weak male voices were buried in it, like a small boat in the sea.

Although they already knew the answer, they were still excited when Principal Dumbledore said it.

Everyone also gave them applause, and Professor Flitwick also received congratulations from the professors.

Dumbledore was still standing among the guests of honor, smiling and watching the excitement in the auditorium.

After calming down, he smiled, raised his eyebrows, and said:

"Although everyone has applauded from Ravenclaw, this score is not their final score yet! There are still some things that need to be calculated."

Everyone looked at Dumbledore, including the professors.

Dumbledore looked at Gryffindor and said:

"10 points. That's pretty good! I was originally worried about whether Gryffindor's score would get back to normal at the end of the semester?"

As soon as this came out, everyone laughed.

"I would also like to thank everyone for their help to Gryffindor. I know that many young wizards have given them their own scoring opportunities."

"Your professors have all seen it!"

"Added 5 points for your noble character of sympathizing with and helping the weak!"

Applause rang out again, Hufflepuff smiled, Ravenclaw looked indifferent, and the Slytherins snorted arrogantly, raising the corners of their mouths.

Later, Dumbledore turned some of the achievements of the Demon Research Laboratory into points and added them to each school.

Lily alone added more than 50 points to Gryffindor.

Finally, with some manipulations by Principal Dumbledore, Gryffindor's score finally broke through 100 and reached three digits, which was no longer so ugly.

Initially, Slytherin felt that he still had a chance to surpass Ravenclaw in this aspect.

However, their main points, Severus and Ralph, are in the same group.

Moreover, Pandora and Lily are in the same team, and Pandora naturally gets the points that Lily gets.

This time they were made to lie flat.

The one-night carnival started like this, and everyone started to move.

Everyone chatted enthusiastically, talking about the past, the present, and thinking about the future, as if everyone had a beautiful and bright future.

The professors' words were much simpler, talking about their teaching experience, their best students, or bragging about their past achievements.

Only Filch was watching all this excitement quietly.

Even after becoming a wizard, he seemed to be an outsider, as lonely as ever.

Looking at the happy children, he completely lost the idea of punishing them.

….

He had imagined countless times that after becoming a wizard, he would catch these noisy students and punish them severely.

But now, he couldn't think of anything at all, as if he had lost his dream, and for a moment he didn't know what to do.

He looked absently at the Gryffindor table in front of him.

As if aware of his gaze, James looked at Filch.

Filch noticed his gaze and gave him an ugly smile.

This made James stunned for a moment, and then he smiled back at Filch. His tutor was pretty good.

Afterwards, James quickly turned his head and told his companions about the incredible experience just now.

Filch felt even more confused. Even James couldn't make him think about punishing them.

Suddenly, a big hand patted his shoulder. He turned around and saw that it was Dumbledore.

"Come on, Argus, have a drink and don't be so depressed. Today is a good day. Everyone has time to plan their vacation. Don't tie yourself to the castle..."

In this way, Filch was pulled up by Dumbledore inexplicably, and he listened to a lot of chicken soup and drank several glasses of wine.

Filch returned to his seat, feeling a little dazed.

Sensing that the four Gryffindor troublemakers were looking over, he still smiled in return.

Ignoring their astonishment, Filch raised his glass, drank his drink, and hummed a tune.

"Argus, stop humming, it's so unpleasant."

"Hey, okay, Madam Pomfrey."

The night passed like this.
