Chapter 17 Creatures in the Shadows

"It's that person, Leander Lanster, I have to say, this kid is very lucky." Alhaz said, with a little gloating on his face.

Sean also recognized this. Lanster had been in the newspaper. Although it was not very clear, it could be vaguely recognized.

Sean took out a bottle of potion from his pocket, took out two more towels, and threw them to Alhaz. "It's better to clean it up later."

"Where did you get this?" Alhaz asked, fiddling with the medicine bottle in his hand.

"I've 'borted' from the chemistry laboratory. As long as I cover his mouth, even the bull can get dizzy."

Finally, Lanster in the mirror lay down, hugged the beauty in her arms, and looked intoxicated. Suddenly, he looked at the mirror with a sense of consciousness. The two hurriedly hid outside the mirror.

"What's wrong, my dear?" asked the woman. Lanster hesitated to look at the mirror. He seemed to have seen a figure in the mirror. He looked in the opposite direction of the mirror, but there was only a wall behind him. The room at night was already dim and there was only a gas lamp illuminating it, so he was not sure what he saw.

He must have read it wrong. He shook his head and moved again with the woman in his arms. I don’t know how long it took. Just when the two of them were almost waiting at the mirror and were bored, Lanster finally stopped the light and lay down and fell asleep.

Alhaz snorted coldly, "This guy is quite capable, come on, let's act quickly."

He said as he put his hand on the mirror, and suddenly there were ripples on the mirror again, and the two walked out of the mirror,

Standing on the carpet in the hotel room, looking at the darkness around it and the outline of the human body that was vaguely visible on the big bed.

Sean was extremely nervous and a little excited at the same time. He felt like he was playing Assassin's Creed, soaking two towels with ether, one of them held one, and the two walked carefully to the bed. As the people on the bed got closer and closer, his heart also raised to the extreme. At this moment, with a bang, his heart almost jumped for half a beat, and turned around and looked at Alhaz. The latter looked at him with an awkward look, and a copper kettle at his feet rolled out and far away.

Dry!

The light suddenly lit up. When he turned around, he saw Lanster standing up from the bed, lit the gas lamp at the head of the bed. The matches in his hand had not yet been extinguished, and he looked at them and stood there in a daze.

Both sides were shocked for a moment. Sean didn't expect such a scene to be like this, and was a little at a loss for a moment. Lanster was frightened by the two mysterious men in black robe who suddenly appeared.

After a few seconds, both sides took action almost at the same time.

Alhaz rushed over and tried to cover the towel in his hand towards Lanster's mouth. Lanster quickly turned over and rolled under the bed, pulled out the sword hanging on the chair, and swung it towards Alhaz with a backhand.

Alhaz turned around and ran away in fear, and the towel in his hand flew out. Sean took out his pistol-"Stop!" he shouted, but Lanster ignored it and continued to chase Alhaz and stabbed hard.

Seeing Alhaz being forced into the corner, Sean didn't care about that much.

With a bang, Lanster was shot in the shoulder and fell to the ground with a scream.

The gunshot also woke the woman on the bed. She saw the scene in the room, followed by a hysterical scream.

Sean's scalp tingled, gunfire and screaming. The plan for the secret operation was completely ruined, but fortunately Alhaz was fine.

The woman was still screaming. He rushed to the edge of the bed in anger, grabbed the woman's fair neck and stuffed the gun into the woman's mouth. Looking at the woman's horrified eyes, Sean still held back and didn't shoot. He picked up a towel and covered the woman's mouth. The woman's eyes were turned pale and she fainted.

The surroundings finally became quiet, only Lanster on the ground was still moaning. At this time, a burst of rapid footsteps sounded outside the door. Lanster seemed to have grabbed the life-saving straw and shouted for help.

The two of them did not dare to hesitate, one hugged his head and the other hugged his legs, lifted Lanster up and walked into the mirror.

Alhaz also took Lanster's sword together. As soon as the three of them passed through the mirror, the door in the room behind them was knocked open. Without hesitation, they carried Lanster and trotted in the direction they came.

"Who are you? What the hell is this?" Lanster shouted in horror, struggling on the shoulders of the two of them.

"Shut up, you bastard." Alhaz had no good feelings for Lanster at all, and punched the wound on his shoulder. Lanster screamed and finally did not dare to struggle anymore. He carried Lanster for hundreds of meters. Sean suddenly felt weak, and the two fell to the ground at the same time, and the two of them fell into a ball with Lanster on their shoulders. The three of them were gasping for breath.

Alhaz suddenly burst into laughter, "Hahahaha, it's so fucking exciting."

Sean looked at him angrily, but he didn't expect that this guy had a good plan and was quite confident. He immediately got involved when he really started working.

He felt a nausea surge in his chest and suddenly couldn't help but cough.

Cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough. The cough was getting worse and worse. The run just now seemed to trigger some kind of malice in his body. He reached out to cover his mouth and nose, looked down and his hands were covered with black blood.

"Your illness is getting worse."

Alhaz said quietly.

Sean didn't say anything, struggling to stand up, but was a little powerless.

Alhaz was still muttering to himself, "The fact that Lanster was kidnapped may be spread immediately. The only thing that is thankful is that we are walking in the mirror world. No matter how the people in reality do, they can't find both of us."

Sean sighed, and despite saying so, the situation still deviated from the original plan.

After resting enough, the two of them stood up. Sean patted the dust on his body and suddenly found that there was something strange around him.

"Where are we running?"

"The world in the mirror, where else can it be?" Alhaz said and looked around, "Ah, I understand what you mean. It really doesn't seem right here.

Although the world in the mirror is very dim, generally speaking, there is still light source in most areas. It is a hazy light. Although it is not very bright and even has an unknown gloomy feeling, it can at least illuminate the surroundings.

However, what they are now in is the shadow cast by a huge ruin, and there is an unusual darkness around them. There is no five fingers in front of them. Only the direction behind them can be seen, and the faint light can be seen.

When the two of them were acting before, they deliberately avoided the shadow-covered area and only acted on the stone bridge. But just now, they were in a panic and actually broke in.

"Who are you? Do you know who I am? If you dare to kidnap me, my father will definitely not let you go!"

Lanster shouted, trembling because he was not wearing any clothes.

"Shh!" Alhaz roared and pointed at his ear. Sean listened with his ears. Some strange sound came from the quiet darkness around him, and it seemed that something was about to move.

The two of them instinctively retreated back. Within their eyes, a black shadow emerged from the darkness. It was by no means a projection of reality, but a real creature.

It looked only three-point human, and its body slowly squirmed in the air like an upright worm, but there was a ball on its head that looked like a human face. A pair of white slightly luminous eyes were embedded on the human face, like a bug emerging from the darkness, attracted by something, and carefully tried to get close to the three people.
