Chapter 23 The Fool
When the last light in Sean's house was also turned off, the whole house fell into darkness again.
Time passed by minute by minute, and soon it came to three o'clock. In the silent night, a figure suddenly flashed in the mirror. Alhaz quietly observed everything in the room through the mirror.
He took a lot of effort to find this place, but it was good that Sean could sleep a little more so that he could move.
Alhaz thought, peeking silently at everything in the study. The study was silent. A few rays of moonlight shone in from the skylight above his head and fell onto the desk, reflecting a few scattered books, ink bottles, and a familiar leather bag.
It's it! Alhaz was excited, "Shaan Frist, you ungrateful guy, you are not worthy of this power at all. Now, this power is mine, and I will not let you destroy it!"
Alhaz slowly leaned out of the mirror after confirming that there was no one in the study.
He walked carefully, light without a trace of sound.
When he walked to the desk, he picked up the bag, but immediately he felt something was wrong. The weight in the bag was a bit too light. When he opened the bag, he saw that it was a simple version of the illustration book, which was not an old book at all, but a book called "The Book of Fools". He had read this book, which talked about some stupid and stupid things in ancient times, taught people some basic principles, and had a collection of jokes that combine education and entertainment, which belongs to popular reading materials.
At that time, he thought the story was very philosophical, but at this moment, he looked at the guy with a dazed smile on the cover, and a chill rose in his heart. The face seemed to mock him as the fool in the book.
At this moment, the lights in the study suddenly lit up.
Alhaz turned his head and saw a shadow in a corner. Sean was sitting on a chair and looking at him with a sarcastic look. He was wearing a black canvas raincoat with a hood over his head. He couldn't see his face clearly in the dark, which made him look like the legendary god of death.
However, the person in front of him was not holding a scythe, but a revolver, which was aiming at his head at this moment.
"Good evening, Mr. Ryder," said Sean, not surprised by the result in front of him.
Alhaz rushed towards the mirror, but the next second, Sean pulled the rope at hand, and the mirror slid off the shelf and smashed it on the ground.
Alhaz looked at the mirror fragments all over the floor, his face looked surprisingly ugly. He looked at Sean viciously, "What are you going to do? Kill me?"
"That's right." Sean said frankly, Alhaz was a little at a loss now.
"Haha, you won't, otherwise you'll do it when you're at my house. Why do you need to do it in one go?"
Sean shook his head: "When you are at your house, I will not be able to get rid of it. The gunshots will cause trouble, and I hate trouble, not to mention that it is much more troublesome to deal with corpses in the university town. It is much more convenient for me. Not far away is the Ryan River. Just tie a stone and throw it into the river."
Sean said, standing up from the chair, "There's one thing you've said right. From the moment we started against Lanster, we couldn't turn back."
He said, gradually approaching Alhaz.
Alhaz subconsciously retreated, but was blocked by the desk and had no choice but to retreat.
He forced a smile and looked at Sean, "You dare not shoot, this is your home, and when you shoot, everyone will hear it."
Sean had already walked up to him and nodded in agreement, "You are right, so I prepared this."
He waved his hand suddenly, and Alhaz felt a pain in his chest. When he lowered his head, he saw a sharp knife piercing deep into his chest.
He looked at Sean in disbelief, and in an instant he couldn't speak.
"You-Johho-"
Blood gushed out of his mouth, blocking the trachea and blocking what he wanted to say.
Sean slowly put Alhaz on the ground and was still explaining: "You are right. The power in this book is indeed unimaginable. How could I really destroy it? Don't worry, I will make good use of it.
Do you know? I had thought of letting you join my team and share this strength, but unfortunately your performance disappointed me too much.
Reckless, impulsive, self-righteous, of course these are all small things. Do you know what the biggest difference between me and you are? That is caution. As long as there is no need, I will never take extra risks. It is like now, I first inserted a knife into your body and then explained to you that I will not make that common sense mistake... Haha, I guess you don't know what I'm talking about at all."
Alhaz had a trace of unwillingness in his eyes, and the luster of life was gradually extinguishing. His hand grabbed Sean's hand tightly, but eventually lost the last bit of strength.
But Sean didn't care whether he was listening or not, and said to himself: "But you are different. You are too good at causing trouble and don't know when you will kill yourself - just like now, you see what I'm right.
Maybe one day I will implicate me, so - I think you should understand, right?"
Alhaz did not answer him, Sean checked Alhaz's pulse and was dead.
The air was filled with bloody smell and the stench of dead people.
Sean sighed, sat down next to the corpse, covered his face with his hands, and let out a long breath, he tried to calm himself down.
He was indeed prepared to kill, but he still unexpectedly felt that he had done it.
There was no disgusting feeling - well, it was still a little disgusting, but that was more due to the smell.
More than excitement, tension, and a trembling with fear.
His hands kept shaking. It was a bit different from watching the water monster dragging people into the water and eating them.
It took him a long time to calm down.
After washing his face with cold water, Sean knew that he had work to do, so he had to deal with the body before dawn.
He stuffed the body into the prepared body bag, cleaned the blood stains on the ground with a mop, and then carried the body out of the door. The night in the sword castle was very quiet, Alhaz was thinner, but he was still tired and panting.
When he came to the stone embankment of the Ryan River, he stuffed a few stones into the bag. He glanced around and confirmed that no one saw it, so he pushed the body down.
Sean breathed a sigh of relief as the bag sank into the water, disappeared after a few bubbles.
When she got home, Sean changed into a dress.
