Chapter 84 Wolf Calamity

"It's a dire wolf!" someone exclaimed.

"Then the fur must be very valuable," said a Brighton businessman, tremblingly raising his hunting rifle.

Bang! The gunshot sounded, but the wolf did not move in awe. The distance was too far, and the bullets were not sure where they flew.

Ragna was angry. He looked at the man, his eyes as fierce as a wolf, and then punched the man suddenly, covering his stomach and bent down.

"Don't move around without calling for a shot! Otherwise, I can guarantee that you won't have to consider doing business in the future."

The two merchants were shocked, but the sneer of hunters rang around them.

In just less than two or three minutes, the hunters all walked out of the wooden house and lined up in the open space outside. The shotguns were raised but no one fired. They were all waiting for Ragner's instructions.

Sean couldn't help asking, "Can they attack?"

Ragner looked solemn, "Maybe, maybe not."

Sean thought that what you said makes sense, but he didn't seem to say it. He looked at Milok, and the old man felt more experienced.

The old man seemed surprised by such a large group of wolves gathered together, but he still comforted him: "Don't worry, unless there is a special situation, usually the wolves dare not attack organized hunters. They are not stupid, and they can tell who is not easy to mess with."

However, Milok's experience seemed completely ineffective today. The dire wolf howled in the distance, and the wolves around him started howling one after another. The sound was shrill and cruel, coming from all directions, echoing each other, it was obvious that the wolves had surrounded the place.

The hunters all changed their faces, and Sean even heard a trace of murderous intent from the howling. He looked around and on the surrounding ice fields, more and more black shadows appeared in sight, with green wolf eyes everywhere.

They were getting closer and closer, and kept howling. The dogs barked uneasily, and they were all together with the howling of wolves, but they were gradually suppressed and lost their voices. They were sobbing and they were not confident.

Even though the number of dogs is equally large, hundreds of sled dogs gathered together, they cannot stop their fear from being infected with each other and looking at the owner behind them in horror.

Ragner didn't move, he seemed to be thinking about his strategy. A small group of wild wolves suddenly rushed over from the woods on the right. They ran quickly, as if charging, but after running for a while, after making a howl, they quickly retreated back.

Another group of wolves rushed out of the forest on the left, and used the same trick again. It also made a howl, causing the dogs to stir up, and then retreated and circled.

Before they could retreat, wolves appeared in the forest ahead. They kept approaching - retreating, and frequent provocations made the dogs restless.

"Be careful, their target is a group of dogs!" Yiguo shouted suddenly, and everyone immediately reacted. The wolf pack did not dare to attack rashly, but they would bluff and scare the group of dogs, and then they could feast on it.

The cooperation ability of these wolves is far greater than that of sled dogs. Some sled dogs can't help but want to rush up and bite, but more of them are flinched and dodge backwards.

It is almost not difficult to imagine that once a single dog rushes out, it will immediately become a meal on the wolf pack.

Ragna was also anxious. If there were no sled dogs on this cold wasteland, their mobility would be greatly reduced. Although they would not be destroyed and could walk back within a distance of 200 miles, this winter hunting would undoubtedly be a waste.

And if the dogs lose their wolves and continue to attack, they will lose their flesh shields. More than a dozen hunters face hundreds of wolves alone, and they do not have much chance of winning.

"Fatty, red beard, scar, oak shield, go leash the dogs, don't let them run away, others continue to be alert."

Several hunters ran over quickly and began to gather the dogs together. When they saw the hunters going up to collect the dogs, the wolves moved. They approached quickly, constantly circling around the edge of the range of the musket, approaching little by little.

"Stay steady, keep calm!" Ragner shouted, estimating the distance, and waiting until the wolf pack was less than a hundred meters here.

"Fire! Free shooting!"

Bang-bang-bang! Gunshots rang one after another, but the hit level was very low. At such a long distance, it was in the dark again. It was very difficult to hit a wolf that ran quickly.

But not all of them were lost.

Bang - Aww! With a scream, a wolf fell to the ground instantly.

Sean quickly took Milok's gun, raised his hand and shot again, whine!

"Recharge the ammunition for me," he said, throwing the shotgun that had been empty on the bullets to the two Brighton merchants, and without saying a word snatched the gun from one of the Brighton merchants and continued to fire.

The two of them dared not refuse and trembled with bullets on the hunting rifle.

When he killed the third wild wolf, Ragner also noticed this.

"Everyone ceases fire-except John!" Ragner shouted, and he gestured to Sean to continue firing. Instead of wasting ammunition, he would be ready to go and wait until the pack charges and fires again.

Just another effective output is enough. The wolves either rushed up or backed up, otherwise they could only be named on the spot.

So the gunshot stopped, only Sean was still killing the wild wolf at one shot after another. He shot almost without any bullets. Every shot was shot, a miserable howl would inevitably sound in the distance.

Listening to the screams of wild wolves, the dogs seemed to be encouraging the courage. They stopped screaming and squeezed together to look at their close relatives in the distance.

Sean's gunshot technique was like a god's helper and made the hunters look at them, but Sean himself felt a little regretful. This kind of hunting rifle was still too primitive and could not even be considered a single shot. Because the bullets had no bottom fire, they needed to bite the paper bag and pour out the gunpowder and projectiles inside, and then compacted it with a strip. They could not fire two shots in a minute. If there was an AK47, it would be invincible. With his current gunshot technique, how many wolves would die as much as they could.

Bang! Another wild wolf was shot.

The direwolf in the distance suddenly let out a shrill howl, and the wolves finally stopped this futile bluff. They quickly retreated, and just when Sean thought they were about to escape, they collectively launched a charge.

Groups of black shadows quickly approached in the darkness, and the green wolf eyes were clearly visible in the darkness.

"Prepare! Open fire!"

A series of gunfires rang almost at the same time, deafening. The shooting skills of these Nord Hunters are actually OK. If they are far away, the hit rate may not be high, but at a distance of 30 meters, the hit rate has almost reached 80%.

More than a dozen wolf was shot at the same time, but more wolves had rushed over. The dogs bravely rushed up and stopped some of the wolves. They bit each other and could hardly tell the difference between the wolves and the dogs, but there were still many fish that escaped the net, rushing towards the crowd and towards Sean.

Ragner roared, threw away the hunting rifle, and started to pick up the battle axe. The front was in chaos. The two Brighton merchants looked at each other and actually went back to the wooden house.

Some of the others were busy loading ammunition, but more of them pulled out hunting knives and prepared for hand-to-hand combat.

At least three wolf rushed to Sean's front and back, and it was obvious that these beasts could also see who was the most threatening enemy.

Sean also threw away the hunting rifle. He didn't dare to be arrogant when facing the three wild wolves. At this time, he no longer cared about hiding his strength.

Fire of Anger - Breath of Flame!

The scarlet flames spewed out to the face, which was particularly dazzling in the darkness. No matter how fierce these wolves were, they still did not leave the category of wild beasts. The one in front was burned with fire, and ran away screaming and two others were scared and flinched.

Sean kept urging the anger in his heart and spurted the flames towards the wolf pack. The flames were the nemesis of the beast. He almost forced most of the wild wolves that rushed into the crowd back with his own strength.

Ragna took the opportunity to greet everyone and defended the front, "You two go into the wooden house!" He shouted to Milok and Old Yiguo.

The two old men were not arrogant either, so they pushed the door and went in, and fired at the wolf pack in the distance from the window.

The others quickly gathered together, leaning against the wooden house, and reloading the ammunition.

Seeing that his anger was gradually extinguished, Sean pulled out the sword in his pocket and wiped it hard on the blade. Hula, the flames suddenly filled the sword body.

The flames dissipated, and the wolves that were forced to retreat rushed up again, and they were greeted by a volley.

Then there was another tragic hand-to-hand battle. Sean flexibly danced his big sword with both hands and chopped over a wild wolf with one sword. The sharp blade almost cut off the wolf's head.

The flames on the sword made the wild wolf throw the rat at snatch the weapon, and also provided effective lighting. The rise of Sean's killing, the big sword swung out, and the wolf that had been pounced on him was cut off half of his chin, and fluttered in vain on the snow. Although he was not dead, he had no ability to fight.

Sean was about to make up for a sword when he suddenly heard a sound of Xixi Suo from above his head. When he turned around, he saw that the direiwolf had climbed onto the wooden roof at some point, looking down at him from a high point, casting a huge shadow under the moonlight. There were two black wolves next to it, one on the left and one on the right, looking inexplicably domineering.
