The Ming Palace is the main yamen for the birthday celebrations of the Supreme Court. The Ming Hall of the Yuan Dynasty was equivalent to the Grand Hall of the Qing Dynasty, but the difference was that the Ming Hall was in an I-shaped layout. The base of the hall was ten feet higher than the ground and was divided into three layers. Each floor was surrounded by white jade railings carved with dragons and phoenixes. This I-shaped layout was popular in the second dynasty of the Song and Jin Dynasties. Today, the Wenhua and Wuying Halls in the Forbidden City still have this layout.

They are leaning up and down as the beads descend or rise. Chang Yuchun watched it for most of the day.
