Chapter 858 : An Uninvited Guest
The three peaks of Zijin Mountain are connected like giant dragons, mountains, water and city, which are magnificent and majestic. In ancient times, it was known as "the dragons on the mountain of Zhongshan and the tigers on the stone city". The mountain is steep and winding like a dragon. Because of its extraordinary demeanor and beauty, there are many temples on the mountain. Among the many temples, Jiangshan Zen Temple, located on the southeast foot, was a temple built by Emperor Wu of Liang of the Six Dynasties to bury the famous monk Baowen, so the incense is extremely prosperous.
It is said that Baowen was originally named Baozhi and Baozhi, with a secular surname Zhu and a native of Jincheng (Lanzhou, Gansu). After becoming a monk, he studied monk Jian and practiced Zen, and had profound Buddhist attainments. It is said that after the first year of Taichu of the Southern Song Dynasty (453), his words and deeds were strange, "boys' claws" and they often carried ancient mirrors, scissors, rulers, fans and other things, and walked barefoot with them. "Once they wrote poems, their words were like prophecies." Emperor Wu of Qi, Emperor Wu of Liang, and the princes and kings and scholars regarded them as "demonic monks" and highly praised them.
After Baozhi passed away, Emperor Wu of Liang built a five-level wooden pagoda in Dulongfu, south slope of Zhongshan, the burial place of Baozhi, and gradually expanded it into a temple, named Kaishan Jingshe. At that time, Buddhism was very prosperous. There were more than 70 Buddhist temples in the Zijin Mountain area, but Kaishan Jingshe was the largest in scale and was called the No. 1 Zen Forest of Zijin Mountain. From the mountain gate to the main hall, it was five miles away. There were releasing ponds, Vajra Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Wuliang Hall, Wufang Hall, Vilu Hall, Guanyin Pavilion and other halls in the temple. There was a Baojie Gong Pagoda behind the temple, which was very majestic and magnificent. Many Buddhist believers came to worship each year, so it was very lively on weekdays.
But in the battle of Longwan last night, a battle of 400,000 was launched in Longwan. The shouts of killing shocked the entire Jinling City. The people were scared and hid at home and dared not come out. Therefore, the Zen Temple, which is usually lively on weekdays, is particularly deserted today.
It was almost night, but the temple did not welcome a pilgrimage. The idle little novice monk sat in front of the door and was dozing. It was almost night. There were no pilgrims coming to the temple anymore, so the two little novice monks were extremely relieved to sleep.
Suddenly, a slight footsteps sounded slowly in front of the door. The footsteps were calm and powerful. When they stepped on the stone slab, they made a "crying?" sound. The heavy sound suddenly woke two little shakimi who had not yet fallen asleep.
"Amitabha... donor... are you..." The awakened little monk chanted the Buddha's name, then blushed and raised his head to look at the person coming.
In the afterglow of the sunset, the man came tall, but had a strange face, with a slightly long jaw, a slightly protruding forehead, and a pair of sinister and triangular eyes, which was really good. The man was wearing a gray Confucian uniform with a sword hanging around his waist. After listening to the little shaman's inquiry, his sinister eyes glanced slightly on his face and whispered: "Are you here, I passed by Baosha, and it was already late. I heard that the temple treats pilgrims well and wants to stay for one night!"
The little shakimi was slightly stunned and had not agreed yet. The man carried his hands on his back, without saying a word, and with a strong wind in his arms, he passed by the little shakimi and went straight into the Uchi Temple.
"Qingfeng... This person looks so strange... I'm afraid he's not a good person... Now that the battle is everywhere, don't let the bandits enter the temple, hurry... go and tell the abbot!"
"Okay! I'll go now..." Xiao Shami, named Qingfeng, turned around and entered the inner temple and went directly to the presidency's meditation room.
"There are still such people..." After hearing the little novice monk's words, the abbot was slightly surprised. The current situation was in chaos. If the bandits really entered, wouldn't it be ruined for this eternal moment?
"Quick...quick...quick...quick and take me to see!"
"Yes, abbot!" Xiaoxiaomi responded and led the abbot to the main hall of the Main Hall.
"Abbot, you see it's him!" The little shaman from afar reached out and pointed at the statue of Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty in the hall, turned his head and said to the abbot, looking a little nervous.
The man in the hall was carrying a pair of hands, staring at Xuanzang's sitting statue in the main hall and murmured: "The world is called the quiet scenery and belong to the golden immortal. If it is the essence, it would be a false news. The thunder of the stream flows out of the ground, and the mountain surrounds the four sides to see the sky. The Tang monk's hand is strong and the emperor of Liang is in a treasure. Today I am happy to receive the ambition of the past, and I will meet the guests of Fujian to meditate."
"A good poem, the person who reads it well, and the person who writes it well!"
Hearing the sound, the visitor slowly turned around. Under the candlelight, the abbot was shocked to see that this person was really what the little novice monk said. However, after all, he had been enlightened for many years. He was slightly stunned and narrowed his eyes and looked at the person. He felt that although this person had a strange appearance, he exuded a heroic and courageous aura all over his body. With the sword on his waist, he felt that the spirit of a green forest hero was as elegant as a hero.
"Can he be a man in the green forest..." Thinking of this possibility, the abbot couldn't help but shudder. Although Jiangshan Temple is just a Zen temple, Master Baozhi also has some of the capsular bones of Master Xuanzang in the temple, and countless precious classics are there. If it is destroyed, how can I think of the Zen masters of all generations explaining it?
"Abbot..." The little shaman standing beside him saw the abbot's brows unfold and shouted slightly.
The disciple of the abbot who was sitting down on the weekdays was the most trusted by him. When he heard his shouting, the abbot asked, "What's the matter?"
Qingfeng said: "Abbot, when you see this person showing a fierce look, you must not be a good person. This person's abbot cannot offend him. If he makes him unhappy, he will burn our Zen Temple. In this chaotic years, wouldn't we even have a place to settle down?"
The abbot was worried about this. When he heard Qingfeng's words, he immediately said, "What should we do?"
Qingfeng said: "This person is just staying for one night. When the day dawns tomorrow, the abbot will let him go down the mountain?"
The abbot thought for a moment, and now he could only do so. After giving some instructions, he ordered someone to stay there.

This person is nothing else, but Zhu Yuanzhang, who had just won the Longwan Battle. Since his first battle yesterday, Zhu Yuanzhang was really happy. After the banquet passed, he was promoted to Xu Da to General Fengguo and the General of the Privy Council. He was the Grand Marshal of Zhongyi of Chang Yuchun, and officially appointed Liu Bowen as the military advisor of the army, with his position above all the generals. Then Hu Dahai, Deng Yu, Feng Guoyong, Feng Guosheng and other confidant generals were rewarded. At the same time, he ordered Hu Dahai to lead a large army to wait in Jinhua. If there was any war, he would fight immediately.
After all this was arranged, he was satisfied and proud, put on a pair of ordinary clothes, walked out of Yingtian Mansion, and came to Zijin Mountain. On Zijin Mountain, the Jiangshan Temple built by Emperor Wu of Liang to bury Monk Baozhi, he had heard of the reputation of Jiangshan Temple, which he had been struggling to bury Monk Baozhi, and he had never had the chance to come and see it. When he recalled the scene of being a monk back then, he became moved to the temple for a trip.
It was just that he came out late, and this tour was already late, so he had the idea of staying for a night.
The night was dark, and the abbot's meditation room seemed uneasy. Could this person be a real green forest robber? I heard that the green forest robbers on the Tao have never had any good people. This person looks fierce. What should he do if he really burns the temple? "
"No...No...I have to find a way to look at him..." The abbot's eyes fell on the Buddhist scriptures on the table. Suddenly, a light of inspiration flashed in his mind and said in surprise: "By the way, why don't I tell him Zen? The Buddha's light shines everywhere, maybe I can feel him or not?"
Jiangshan Temple was first built by Emperor Wu of Liang. It was large in scale, with many temples and pagodas. It was about 300 feet long from the mountain gate to the main hall, covering an area of about 500 acres and more than 1,000 monks. The temple includes the Vajra Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, the Five-State Hall, the Vila Hall, the Guanyin Pavilion, the Zen Hall, and the Zen Room of the Pilgrimage.
Zhu Yuanzhang's Zen Room was arranged by the little novice monk in the end. The mountains and mists stood around the Zen Room, and towering ancient trees reflected the sky. At night, the sound of water continued, just like the sound of a pipa echoing in the quiet mountains and forests, which was very pleasant.
The little novice monk was too worried about Zhu Yuanzhang, so he had to work hard to arrange his residence. Behind this Zen room was the spring of merit. According to legend, when the monk Tan Yin traveled to Zhongshan, he suddenly heard the sound of gold, stone, silk and bamboo. He followed the cliff and searched for traces. He saw the water droplets falling along the cracks of the rocks on the bluestone slabs, making a "mug, muttering" sound, and the sound of a pipa that was lightly closed and slowly twisted echoed in the quiet forest. Tan Yin believed that this was the alms of heaven to the people in the world, so he called this spring the "merit spring".
This spring is clear, cold, fragrant, soft, soft, sweet, sweet, quiet, seven, and unharm, so it is also called "Eight Merit Water". The eight merit waters were originally founded in Wuzhen Temple in northeast of Zixia Cave. After Wuzhen Temple was built, monks used bamboo tubes to divert water, so it was also called "Bamboo Spring". As early as the Liang Dynasty, monks used spring water to cure diseases, and the eight merit waters were famous. Later, due to war, trees were cut down, and the merit spring was also known as "Zhulu".
Abandoned. During the Tiansheng period of the Northern Song Dynasty, Lanling Su, a scholar of the History Museum, visited the place where the Eight Merit Waters were located, bought eight stone slabs, built a wall around the spring, and built a pavilion to ensure the "sweetness of the spiritual source". Since then, the Eight Merit Waters became well water, and the sound of the water came from the silk and bamboo. The little shaman was afraid that Zhu Yuanzhang would set fire to the temple at night, and the Eight Merit Waters could be used, so he kindly let him live in.

Jiangshan Temple: During the Qianfu period of the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Baogongyuan. During the Kaibao period of the Song Dynasty (968-975), it was renamed Kaishan Taoist temple. In the fourth year of Taiping Xingguo of Emperor Taizong of Song Dynasty (979), Emperor Taizong of Song Dynasty also wrote the title of the temple as "Taiping Xingguo Zen Temple", which was changed to Jiangshan Temple in the early Ming Dynasty.
