Chapter Four Robbery(1/2)

There was a magnetic sound, and the TV screen flashed and turned blue.

The TV signal disappeared. All of us were stunned...

The living room was very quiet. Yangyang stood behind me and had a quiet conversation with Rongrong.

The disappearance of the TV signal seems to indicate that the situation is getting worse.

After I came to my senses, my mind was spinning.

The situation outside is a foregone conclusion, and it is almost impossible to solve the situation in the short term by watching TV reports. The current situation cannot allow me to cry anymore and be afraid of things.

Taking a deep breath, I opened my mouth and said to Suotian: "I think we are all sensible people and we all know what is happening outside at this moment."

I decided to win over this man who claimed to be a policeman. After all, Yangyang and I were too weak alone.

What's more, now there is a little girl Zheng Rongrong.

"Yes. Those who don't understand are all there." Suotian pointed out the window.

"Well, since you were hiding in the hotel before, we are the same and don't know much about the specific situation outside. For example...how many people are alive and how many people have been resurrected after death."

I pointed to the kitchen: "There's enough food there, if that's okay... I mean maybe we could stick together if you wanted?"

Suotian looked towards the kitchen and thought for a few seconds: "This might be a good idea."

"Then..." I stretched out my hand, "Welcome to join the survival team."

"Survival team?" He stretched out his hand: "That's quite appropriate."

After lunch, Yangyang took Rongrong to the bedroom for a nap, and Suotian and I went to the balcony.

"When we were eating, I believe you saw that we didn't have much water. The day before yesterday, Yangyang and I went to the convenience store not far to the left to get some things back, but the water was very heavy and I couldn't take much."

Now that we have decided to unite, I am ready to join forces immediately.

Suotian didn't speak, and motioned for me to continue.

"In the past two days, my mood has been a bit... unstable. I don't have the energy to run out to get things back. Yangyang is still young and can't help me much. Since you are here, I think we should take advantage of the zombies filling the entire street.

Get enough supplies from the street."

"It's really thoughtful, but... I don't think that convenience store can last us long."

"you mean?"

"Yesterday, the road went straight to the end. There was a big shopping mall about one kilometer away. We need things there."

"No, it's too far there and we can't reach it. If we are surrounded by zombies on the road, we will be chewed up and only the bones will be left."

"I'm afraid I have to go even if I don't." He pointed downstairs.

Two young men and two women, each carrying two large bags, quickly rushed to the courtyard of the front building.

"Look, that little shop has probably been emptied out by the people around it."

I paid attention to the staircase window on the front floor and found that they had gone up to the fourth floor.

The couple who had been resurrected from the dead on the third floor were nowhere to be seen. They might have walked out, or they might have been knocked down by them.

"They are really smart people." I was a little disappointed. It seems that we are still one step behind them.

“No… they’re not smart enough.”…

Looking at what those people were carrying today, I can roughly deduce that the small store must have been almost cleared out. I have to consider Suo Tian's suggestion. Maybe we really need to go to that supermarket.

The idea was finalized early the next morning.

Yangyang had a fever of thirty-nine degrees. Because he rarely got sick, the family didn’t prepare much medicine at all. Looking at my brother lying on the bed with his face flushed, I almost felt like my heart was spinning.

"Suotian, there is a big drugstore on the corner of the street, very close to the shopping mall. Let's go there after eating. We can get enough medicine and food supplies at one time."

Suo Tian shook his head: "No, we are not going today. We have to wait for two days."

"Wait two days? No! I can't wait any longer and have to go today. Yangyang is sick. Waiting two days will burn him out."

"We can temporarily search the first floor to see if we can find any medicine. In short, it's best not to go out in the past two days."

"Why exactly?"

Suotian pointed to the floor in front without explaining.

By noon I understood what he meant.

Shortly after lunch, many people rushed out from unknown buildings and ran towards the courtyard where the four people were. They smashed doors and climbed over walls. They quickly rushed to the fourth floor.

Then all you could hear were screams and curses. It seemed like they were snatching something? Yesterday’s food!

I was shocked.

Are they taking food?

I immediately understood what Suo Tian said yesterday. They are indeed not smart enough.

After taking out all the things in the store, what will the other survivors do? What will they eat? Nearly a week has passed, and everyone is probably at the end of their rope.

The quarrel attracted a large number of walking corpses.

They also seemed happy that they had found lunch.

They screamed and rushed into the small courtyard in front. They didn't close the door.

"The zombies are in! Hide quickly!" I shouted anxiously to the floor in front of me.

No matter what, they are still alive at this moment, with flesh and blood and thoughts. They eat biscuits and will not nibble on the friends and relatives around them.

My shouts attracted some of the zombies to the door of my courtyard. The other floor became quiet, there was no quarrel, and only the faint roars of the zombies and the sound of fingernails scratching the door could be heard.

Suotian pulled me closer to the house and frowned: "If you want us to be surrounded by zombies, just shout a few more times."

"If we don't remind them, they will all die!" Although being discovered by the zombies made me very nervous, I still didn't feel that what I did was wrong.

"That has nothing to do with us. We can only try our best to protect ourselves. If they survive, then everything we risk taking out from the supermarket will be robbed! Cowards who are crazy about hunger have no sense!"

I remained silent and had to admit that Suotian's words had some truth to them.

Glancing at the floor opposite, there were at least twenty survivors there at the moment. There were only a dozen or twenty zombies entering the hospital.

Now I can only pray and hope they can hold on.

Suotian and I searched around the first floor and were very lucky to find a small medicine box. There was a whole box of antipyretics in it, which is what I need most now.

God really treats us well.

There were many cans of Coke and some vegetables and ribs in the refrigerator. I found a big plastic bag, put them all in, and went back upstairs with Suotian.

Zheng Rongrong was very happy when she saw Coke, but at a young age she learned not to make loud noises from the TV. After spinning around in circles a few times to express her excitement, she couldn't wait to take out a bottle and taste it carefully.

Yangyang took medicine and the fever finally subsided in the afternoon.

During this period, I kept paying attention to the movement on the floor in front.

It was always quiet, with no other sounds except a faint roar. It seemed that the zombies did not rush into the room.

The zombies downstairs have long since dispersed. The emptiness outside reflects the afternoon sun, and everything seems so quiet and peaceful.

Of course, the premise is that you have to learn to ignore the viscera and blood stains on the road.

The Coke seemed to taste good too. Sitting on the balcony, looking into the distance, I was a little worried about my parents, wondering if they were facing the same terror as us at the moment.

They must be worried because they can't contact Yangyang and I. Mom should be crying again.

That night.

I recovered from my Yang Yang disease and went to bed early.

Rongrong didn't know what was going on, so he kept pestering Suotian and told her stories to coax her to sleep. Suotian couldn't resist, so he had to tell her with a straight face how he handled the murder case.

I was still sitting on the balcony, looking at the building opposite. How did the more than 20 survivors inside face the dark night at this moment.

Everything fell silent. The moonlight filled the earth, indicating good weather for the next day.

Early in the morning, Suotian woke Yangyang up and taught him the correct way to use the knife in the living room.

And forced him to do fifty push-ups and one hundred sit-ups.

Although I can't bear it, I also know that Yangyang has been studying for a long time and his physique is too weak. In this doomsday, I must train him to have a good physique.

After breakfast, I told Yangyang to take care of Rongrong. After Suo Tian and I carefully planned the route to the mall, we took the knife and went out.

Suo Tian said that while those people were trapped upstairs by the zombies and dared not come out, they went to the supermarket to get supplies.

Finally, we don’t have to wait two days.

As soon as I went out, I came face to face with an old lady walking out of the yard in front of me.

People's ability to adapt to the environment is really amazing. Ten days ago, if I had seen such a rotten but still walking 'person' in front of me, I would have been scared to death.

But now my heartbeat is just accelerating.

My hands and feet no longer tremble.

Before I could make a move, Suotian finished her off neatly. Looking at his skills, you can tell that he is definitely an expert.

We didn't dare to hesitate and ran quickly to the road.
