Section 113 Rupi Dharma Bone

Confucianism and Law———like a piece of ceramic vessel with a smooth surface and rough texture. It would be unfair to only focus on one side of it.

Confucianism has its limitations, and legal studies are naturally not glorious. In fact, it is the severe punishment and law advocated by the Legalists that made the Qin Dynasty numerous laws. Its mean and ruthless policy of "not distinguishing from relatives and alienation, not distinguishing between nobles and humbleness, and breaking the law, the favor of relatives and respecting is absolutely ruthless" not only made the people obey, but also aroused their strong desire to resist, especially when oppression reached the peak of tolerance, large-scale peasant uprisings broke out.

In detail, Confucianism is not useless. At least under the guidance of Confucianism, China has appeared with Fan Zhongyan, who "worry before the world is worried, and then the world is happy after the world is happy", Wen Tianxiang "Kong said to be benevolence, Meng said to be righteous", Gu Yanwu "Every man is responsible for the rise and fall of the world" - etc., flashing with brilliant and glorious philosophical ideals. At the same time, the "benevolent government" advocated by Confucius and Mencius also has considerable progressive significance, which requires rulers to cherish the people's strength and oppose excessive oppression and exploitation of the people. This idea of people was later adopted by enlightened feudal rulers in ancient times, such as Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin, which made the people under his rule stable, social order, and social economy, science and art also develop day by day, thus creating a prosperous scene where thousands of dynasties came to celebrate, and the development of feudal dynasties reached its peak.

In education, Confucius adopted educational methods such as "teaching according to his aptitude", "dursing and inducing people to learn well", which focused on inspiring students' awareness and initiative in learning; emphasized that "those who know are not as good as those who like them, and those who like them are not as good as those who enjoy them." In learning, he advocated a practical attitude, "knowing what you know, but not knowing what you don't know", and emphasized the importance of review, "learning and learning from time to time", and "reviewing the past and learning the new"; he required students to combine learning and thinking, and to "learn from one example and apply it to others." These educational experiences have not only profoundly influenced the education in my country's history, but now all schools across the country have basically adopted this educational method.

In addition, Mencius' remarks on "wealth and honor cannot be lustful, poverty and humbleness cannot be moved, and power and force cannot be betrayed" express the correct view that a person should have when he is in the world. It is under the influence of this view that national heroes such as Yue Fei and Wen Tianxiang, patriotic generals such as Ge Yunfei and Feng Zicai appeared in Chinese history, leaving behind many heroic deeds that were praised by later generations.

What to do? Faced with two completely different theories of world governance, Fu Ge needed to make a choice, whether to continue to follow the strict rule of law of the Qin Dynasty or imitate the strategy of governing inaction and promoting the country with etiquette as Liu Bang in history when the founding of the Han Dynasty.

It can be foreseeable that if the former is fully inherited, what awaits Fu Ge will be the resistance of the people, and it will be a war that will never be won, because the cool politics of the Qin Dynasty has long lost the people's hearts. However, if the latter is chosen, Fu Ge may become the initiator of China's long feudal dynasty. This is absolutely impossible for a young man who has a deep hatred of China's backward and beating history in modern times.

"Take the law as the bone, the Confucianism as the skin! Remove the dross and take the essence." In desperation, the dialectical materialist thought hidden in Fu Ge's thought played a role.

Since both have advantages and disadvantages, use both, and neither of them is used at all.

“As a ruler, it’s really fucking difficult?”

Fu Ge looked up hatefully and despised the sky above Xianyang's head, and happily said the first swear words after rebirth. It turned out that when he was in school, he hated these extremely boring academic theories. He didn't expect that after two thousand years ago, he could not escape this fateful pursuit.

Moreover, this time, he could no longer lie on the table like in school and use books to block his sleep. During the exam, he borrowed the notes of female classmates to copy them wildly.

Everything depends on yourself.

Because except him, other people's ideas are either Confucianism or Legalism, and they will never have any ideas of compromise.

Use the Legalists in troubled times to govern the Confucianism of the World. A mature ruler is like a skilled and highly skilled surgeon. The Legalists are scalpels and Confucians are anesthetics. Both are indispensable. If the surgery is directly performed without anesthetics, the patient will be unable to bear the pain, and will resist and explode.

Before the end of the War of Unity, the military system of the Qin Dynasty, which took the Legalist doctrine as the orthodox, turned the entire country into a huge barracks. The ultimate goal of the country to do all its affairs was to expand and merge externally through war means. This situation actually has some similarities with Japan and Germany in the 20th century.

In the past 150 years, the Qin Dynasty integrated various resources through the laws of the Legalists and successfully diverted the attention of the people in the country through foreign wars. However, after the unification of the world, the Qin Empire, which reached its peak, had no strong enough military imaginary enemy to be used to refer to. All the depressed First Emperor could do was to vent his anger with the barbarians in Lingnan and the Huns in the north.

In fact, at this time, the country needs more to use Confucianism as a supplement to governing the country and to change all strategies to consider around war. Unfortunately, neither the First Emperor nor other important officials like Li Si, Feng Quji and others did not realize this.

"Your Majesty, I think it's a good thing for you, Mr. Feng, to say it very well. The way to govern the country and strengthen the country is actually not a legalist or a Confucian path. Maybe we can use both of them to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses. Specifically, it is 'taking the law as the bone and the Confucian one'. The government orders must be adjusted continuously with the changes in the current situation. Only in this way can we revitalize the prosperity and glory of our Qin." To be honest, Fu Ge's final statement was not innovative at all.

However, this sentence seems to be "common with the thin" seems to be quite effective. Whether it is Fu Sheng or Feng Zheng, Fu Ge's opinion is basically agreed. For Fu Sheng, it is a great contribution to the fact that he can turn the Confucianism into a reversal. This contribution has already left a mark of showing off in the history of Confucianism. For Feng Zheng, the current Qin Dynasty, which has created thousands of holes, is indeed the result of the Legalist governance. If he persists, it is tantamount to push the country to perish. Compared with the survival of the country, the shortcomings and deficiencies of the theory can only be temporarily released.
