Chapter 232: The Dark Lord and the Ring of Naga (IV)(2/3)

His body trembled slightly involuntarily, and there was an urge to be generous in his heart.

Angry! Shaking! Cold!

Are you kidding? This is not a cooperation at all. It is clearly a unilateral overlord treaty and a devil's contract!

If this is the end of his career as a staff master, perhaps he can only choose to accept his fate.

However, just when Satis had mixed feelings in his heart and the courage to generously serve for justice was gradually growing, Xia Xiu's gentle voice came to his ears again.

"For people like you wizards, I always know what you are pursuing."

Xia Xiu's voice seemed to have some kind of irresistible charm, full of an irresistible temptation.

"You know a lot, yet you still want to know everything.

For you wizards, the soul is like a blank scroll that can carry magic, and your mission is to use the pen of truth to write endless mysteries on this scroll.

If the scroll is torn as a result, it is a small price to pay for a greater destiny."

Satis's heart trembled, and he could not deny the accuracy of this passage.

While he was still digesting Xia Xiu's words, a silver wand suddenly flew towards him from the air.

Satis subconsciously stretched out his hand and caught the wand. But when his fingers touched the wand, a strong tremor spread from his fingertips throughout his body. His pupils shrank suddenly, and his hands could not restrain themselves.

He started to tremble and sweat broke out on his forehead.

His face instantly turned pale, and he murmured in disbelief:

"This...this is...the great creation...the Deathly Hallows..."

The tip of the wand exuded a shuddering aura, which seemed to shudder even his soul.

This feeling was something he had never experienced before, and the energy flowing in the wand almost made him feel like he would be swallowed up at any time.

At this time, Xia Xiu had quietly come to his side, and a figure taller than him loomed over his head.

He leaned down slightly and put his right hand gently on Satis' shoulder. His tone was low but full of temptation, just like Mephistopheles in the poem tempting Faust to fall.

The blond young man's voice was low and rhythmic, and with some irresistible law, it penetrated into Satis' heart.

Satis felt that he was almost suffocating, and his whole body was trapped in the Dark Lord's words, unable to extricate himself.

The gentle smile of the blond young man was covered with the glory of an angel, but his words were bewitching Satis' soul like a demon.

"How could I ask someone to do something for which there is no reward?"

Xia Xiu said softly, as if comforting a child shaken by fear.

"Devils all know that they need to give strength to achieve a contract, so how can angels be inferior to demons?"

He patted Satis on the shoulder, his tone was comforting and warm, but it made Satis feel even more trembling.

"During your tenure as a professor," Xia Xiu continued, "you can hold this Deathly Hallows, study it, and even use it. I have released three levels of authority for you, and you can release three levels of authority.

The authoritative spell from it. Even if you no longer hold this sacred instrument in the future, the principles of these three spells will be engraved in your body, and you can still release their weakened versions."

The Dark Lord's voice was soft but extremely attractive. Every word he spoke was stripping Satis of his will, forcing him to fall into this endless temptation.

"I can tell you these three magic spells."

Xia Xiu generously shared the contents of the reward with the old man in advance:

"The first one is an instant-death curse that can blast people into pieces; the second one is a restriction curse that makes the target suffer great pain but will not cause death; and the third one is to control the surrounding gravity and limit

A control spell for the actions of others.

These three magic spells are at least level eight. You have my open wand authority and can use each spell three times a day.

And every time you use them, you can feel and engrave their mysteries deep in your soul."

"And as a staff maker, will you give up the opportunity to study the Deathly Hallows that can only appear in legends?"

"The pinnacle of your life is already visible to the naked eye, but now you have the opportunity to touch it?"

"Are you really going to give up?"

Satis' hand involuntarily clenched the wand, feeling the power surging in the wand. His heart had been swallowed up by an almost crazy temptation.

"certainly."

Xia Xiu suddenly changed the subject, but his tone remained gentle. This was his last warm reminder to Satis.

"You can refuse. As an angel, of course I will not kill people and silence them."

"I will let you keep silent about today's matter - after all, death is not the only way to keep silent; there are many types of thaumaturgy and mime in this land."

The old man listened to Xia Xiu's seductive whisper, and the words that struck his soul like a magic spell swirled in his ears.

He was trembling all over, holding the heavy silver wand tightly with both hands, as if he was holding on to the last trace of reason and self-esteem.

Finally, he looked up at the blond young man, his eyes full of fear and helplessness, filled with irrepressible submission and compromise.

"I...sign a contract with you."

He struggled to say these words in a hoarse voice, which exhausted all his courage and will.

When Xia Xiu heard this, a gorgeous and calm smile spread out from the corner of his mouth. He spread his hands, with a tone of relief and appreciation, like a mentor who saw his disciple enlightenment.

"That's right. Every pursuit has its price. You want to control everything, but you forget that the truth is never a generous giver. If you want to see the end of the truth, you must be prepared to pay the price of your soul."

He paused and looked directly at Satis, with a chilling calmness in his tone.

"But I'm not a demon, so I don't need your soul."

"You're lucky because no one can be more generous than me."

After saying that, Xia Xiu raised his right hand and gently tapped the back of the old man's right hand with his index finger.

As he moved, a chill ran from the old man's spine to the top of his head, and he subconsciously stared at his right hand.

"Since you agreed, the contract will be signed now."

Xia Xiu said calmly, there was no intimidation in his tone, he was just doing a routine.

"This is a mark. When you complete the task, the mark will disappear naturally."

Before he finished speaking, Satis felt a searing pain coming from the back of his hand. It felt like a red-hot iron being burned directly into his flesh and blood.

The pain caused him to raise his right hand involuntarily, and he felt frightened.

He saw a [∞] symbol like an Ouroboros appearing on the back of his hand. The symbol slowly rotated, carrying an indescribable sense of fear.

His breathing couldn't help but become more rapid, and the symbols were resonating with his soul, deeply engraved into his own existence.

"Remember my request."

Xia Xiu interrupted Satis' thoughts, then he casually took out a small round mirror from his windbreaker and handed it to the old man.

"You take this mirror. If the people I mentioned come, you only need to hand this thing to them."

Satis took the mirror lightly.

He looked at the mirror with confused eyes, feeling trapped and powerless in his heart.

Xia Xiu patted his hat gently, adjusted his collar, and then gave the old man a meaningful smile.

"Wish us a happy cooperation."

Following a slight ripple in space, his figure was gradually wrapped in a distorted light and shadow, as if swallowed by the [∞] symbol, gradually fading until it completely disappeared into the store, as if it had never existed.

After a moment of silence, Satis came back to his senses as if waking up from a dream.

He subconsciously looked down at the mirror in his hand and glanced at the silver wand, as if everything just now was just a weird dream.

However, when his eyes once again fell on the Ouroboros symbol on the back of his hand, the cruel reality pulled him back from the dream.

His legs weakened and he almost fell.

"Dark Lord...Dark Lord...Dark Lord..."

The other side.

On a dark street in Arcadian City, the night shrouded the earth like a veil, and the buildings on both sides of the lane cast distorted shadows in the moonlight.

Xia Xiu walked leisurely on the street, aimlessly enjoying the night view of this ancient city.

[Vashak]'s figure flashed over him, which once again caused a commotion in the city.

His expression was relaxed and comfortable, with a faint smile on his lips, and he didn't care at all about the chaos caused by him in the city behind him.

On the clock tower not far away, the wizards in the city fell into panic again because of the brief appearance of [Vashak], and the fluctuations of magic spread like ripples. The wizards from several observation towers flew past the sky in panic, holding in their hands

The magic instrument scanned around, trying to capture the fleeting abnormal fluctuations.

But Xia Xiu didn't care about this, and even hummed a light tune in his mouth.
