290 Gift of the Time Lord (11,000-character chapter)(2/5)
The real culprit is himself.
The two sides of the Time War, the Time Lords and the Daleks.
The Time War can refer to conflicts in at least two time spans.
The first type of time war refers to the warring parties belonging to different time processes, which may be more than hundreds or thousands of years apart.
The second type of time war refers to time itself being used as a weapon, such as preemptive attacks, time loops, time paradoxes, reversing the course of history, etc.
What Doctor Who calls “the last great time war” refers to the latter.
Two races that stood in the world launched a horrific battle. Weapons formed in various times were used by both sides. That kind of battle would only involve the entire world in the end, and then be destroyed in one fell swoop.
The current Doctor Who's last life was a "war" in which he gave up the name of "Doctor", and now he still feels heavy guilt for all that.
The "war" himself, who takes up arms and ends the war in the most effective way at all costs, is the biggest executioner in the universe.
At least that’s what he thought at this time.
“I feel cold.”
The chaotic voice of Daleks sounded here, and the place was littered with the remains of Cybermen and the corpses of demonized Daleks.
Hellboy on the ground still held the half sword in the stone in his hand, but at this time he had raised his head and looked at everything in front of him.
“I just want to know if I let go of the hilt of the sword in the stone, can the passage to hell be closed?”
Helloboy looked at the passages blocked by the holy flames, holding the Sword in the Stone and saying with an ugly expression.
As he spoke, his eyes were looking at Ancient One, and the flaming crown on his head was still flickering.
“He’s scared!”
Rostel took a few steps forward and cautiously extended his hand to the Dalek.
She put her palms on Dalek's body and gently wiped the Dalek who was covered with traces of war.
Ross Taylor is undoubtedly kind, which is what I love most about Doctor Who.
But there is something wrong with the goal she gives to kindness.
“Ross, come back! It doesn’t know the slightest kindness!”
Doctor Who took out the only tool with some offensive power and pointed it at the Dalek. The sonic screwdriver was not born as a weapon in the first place.
“I am the last Dalek!”
The Dalek said with some difficulty:
“Give me an order! Give me an order!”
“He is no longer a threat!”
Ross stood firmly in front of Doctor Who.
Others could not understand the conflict between the two men at all.
After all, except for Johnny Blaze, who was still in a coma, none of the people present were kind-hearted idiots.
The Cybermen and Daleks have already demonstrated their threat.
Or in other words, in a series of shocks, everyone present realized that they were not qualified to participate in this discussion.
“Dalics shouldn’t exist.”
Doctor Who still adheres to the original idea, and he is still in a rage and will not show mercy to a Dalek.
He took a few steps forward so that there was no longer an obstacle between him and the Dalek. He pulled Rose behind him and allowed himself to face the Dalek alone.
“Great space junk! How does it feel!”
Words full of anger spewed out of Doctor Who's mouth, venting his emotions like a spray gun.
“Back!”
Dalek's electronic voice moved back with some fear, and beyond that was the space-time rift.
“Why are you retreating?! What can you do to me!?”
Doctor Who chased after him and stood in front of Dalek. Looking at the scarred body, Doctor Who's emotions gradually reached the edge of losing control.
The last war he experienced made him make the most difficult choice, and the pain eroded his heart all the time.
Doctor Who will be reborn when his life comes to an end.
He is still him, but he is no longer him.
After rebirth, Doctor Who will have completely different hobbies, like completely different things, and may become extremely disgusted with the food he originally loved.
Even though he still has all the memories of his past.
But after all, they are no longer exactly the same person.
“If you can’t kill anymore, what else will you do? Dalek? What’s the point of living for you?”
Doctor Who surrounded the Dalek in front of him, maintaining the bottom line of caution.
He silently observed this Dalek, finally awakening a little bit of reason from the complete rage and began to think.
“You are nothing, what are you doing here?”
“I’m...waiting for orders!”
"What does it mean?"
“I am a soldier, and I am born to obey orders.”
The Dalek's tone should be firm and unswerving, they would not have such a mood of doubt.
But this is the only Dalek who has maintained his self despite the corruption of the Hell Demon, and it is also the last Dalek.
He has no group and exists alone.
“But you won’t get the order, and you never will.”
"I demand an order!" Dalek's voice became urgent, and everyone could hear his fear.
“There will be no more orders! Your race is destroyed! Conquered! All of you, ten million ships burned to the ground! The entire Dalek race is destroyed in the blink of an eye!”
Doctor Who said loudly.
In his memory, his home planet also disappeared under the final weapon just like the Daleks.
That was the choice "he" made.
“I saw it with my own eyes, and I did it with my own hands.”
Doctor Who spoke with pain and hatred for Daleks, and his expression became distorted at this time.
“Did you destroy us?”
This Dalek recalled in his mind that his kindred had transformed into those waving tentacles of flesh and blood in an instant, and then he became afraid.
The object of his fear was Azmodan, who had corrupted his people in just an instant, not Doctor Who in front of him.
He existed at some point in the past and came to Doctor Who through this rift.
And the fear of the devil of hell was transferred to the angry man in front of him because of Doctor Who's words.
Doctor Who seems to be stung by this question.
In any case, he deprived both groups of the opportunity to continue to exist.
One of them is his "fellow kinsman".
“I have no choice.”
For the first time, the tone of Doctor Who becomes softer and more painful in the dialogue of the Daleks.
“What about the Time Lords?”
The Dalek asked.
In his memory, he was only in a confrontation with the Time Lords and the Curry Fury Planet.
The Daleks were corrupted into demons by the Demon King of Hell, but what about the Time Lords?
He didn’t know that Azmodan only had time to corrupt the Daleks, a race full of anger and destruction, before he was captured by the Ring of Elkatan.
Those Time Lords are currently entertaining the three barbarian ancestors and preparing gifts by the way.
His question gave Doctor Who pause.
Finally, he said lightly: "They are all dead too."
After a brief hesitation, he continued.
"Dead with you. The last great war of time is over. Everyone has lost."
Doctor Who's words were plain and full of fascination, but there was no trace of regret in them.
He does not regret what he did, but it does not prevent him from suffering.
“Only cowards survive.”
