Chapter 14: Van der Vaart(2/2)

The meeting between the two sides did not go in any restaurant, cafe or bar, but was in the hotel where Don En stayed. Before the matter was done, Don En hope to be more low-key. After all, there are many clubs in Europe that want this midfielder.

The agent LeBill serves as the translator between the two parties.

When Van der Fate saw Tang standing beside Tang En, he was a little surprised, an Eastern Hokage.

Tang En obviously knew what the other party was surprised, so he introduced to the two generously: "My assistant coach. Chinese, Tang. A very skilled coach."

Regardless of whether this Tang is really as skilled as Tang En said, and using Chinese as an assistant coach, I guess there is no second one in Europe... The formal talk has not yet begun.

Van der Fate has deeply realized the unusual aspects of the head coach.

In order not to make the meeting atmosphere too dull, agent Sauron LeBill began with a joke: "Mr. Done, did you go to the red light district of the canal yesterday?"

Don Eun chuckled in a hoarse voice: "I followed your advice, Mr. Lebir. Yesterday, Don and I were honest in the hotel like good kids. And... Raphael is our purpose in the Netherlands, and he is more important than anything else.

"The conversation naturally moved to the topic.

Tang En is very grateful to this agent, which is the most rated among the many agents he has come into contact with.

So everyone looked at Van der Fate.

"I also listened to Soren's introduction. He said that you are a very sincere person, so I decided to meet."

"Ha. That's what he said...what do you think of me?"

"Well...it's very young. It's younger than the one in the Champions League final."

"Don't mention the past..." Donn winked at Van der Fat, "When you talk about the Champions League, that's our goal for the new season."

"Go to the final again?" Van der Fate asked curiously.

"No, we will win the championship trophy this time." Tang En answered quite confidently.

Van der Fate looked at his eyes, his eyes firmly, not like he was joking at all.

"Excellent...target." For a moment, facing this land-based coach with such confidence, he didn't know what to say.

"Nottingham Forest is not a team that can only be satisfied with participating in the Champions League every season. I am not talking big. My players all have that strength. I have no doubts.

Van der Sar and you are teammates of the national team. Haven’t you heard him talk about us during the World Cup?”

During the World Cup, some teammates were indeed interested in Van der Sar being able to participate in the Champions League final again, so they asked some things about that team, but the person who asked about them was not Van der Fate, and he did not pay attention to it at the time.

I didn't expect that I would have an intersection with this team now.

The meeting fell into a brief silence, and Tang En signaled to Tang, who took out a stack of paper from his briefcase and handed it to the two people opposite him.

"I have learned in-depth about your professional experience and football style, Raphael. This is the tactics I formulated about you based on the current situation of the team. I don't like to talk nonsense and clichés, real things are the fundamentals.

I appreciate your ability and I am very eager to join us, but I believe that I am not the only one who says these words to you. So, I want to let you understand our sincerity too..." He pointed to the stack of paper.

Van der Fate picked it up and found that it was Dutch. This was a detail, but it could explain some problems. He looked up at the smiling Don Eun. He lowered his head and continued to look.

It is indeed a very detailed tactical instruction manual, which lists various tactical combinations for Van der Fate's personal characteristics and preferences, combined with the staffing of Nottingham Forest.

In general, in Donn's plan, Van der Fate is a midfielder, but is closer to the penalty area, which is different from the parallel position of 442. His role is between the front midfielder and the shadow striker.

In tactics, Donn gave Van der Fate sufficient freedom, he could organize attacks in the midfield, or score long shots after forward shots. At the same time, unlike Koeman, he also asked Van der Fate to focus on defense.

"Most of my players are professional and versatile, so our tactics are more flexible... I believe you must have heard some comments about me, which will inevitably mention that I am a coach who pays great attention to defense." When Van der Fate looked down.

Don Eun continued, "I admit this, I care a lot about defense because that is the basis of all victory. But I want to defend the job, you don't need to do it. We have the best defensive midfielders in Europe.

With him here, offensive players can score without any worries.

Donne is talking about George Wood, who has this confidence - Wood is the best, present and future.

To be honest, two points in this detailed tactical book touched Van der Fate. One is the "shadow forward".

Van der Fate was a forward when he debuted. Later, as the team needed him, he slowly retreated. He was even placed in a defensive midfielder by head coach Koeman, allowing him to assume defensive responsibilities.

These are not what Van der Fate likes. Although he is basically fixed in the midfield now, he still likes the feeling of shooting and scoring. He has a very good long-range shooting ability. Settings are also good, and he doesn't waste such talent.

Another point is that you don’t need to consider defensive work, so that you can devote yourself to the offense.

He also likes this very much. Most talented offensive players will not like the head coach asking them to defend. They will think they have been underused or completely wrong.

After wasting all their energy into retreating defense and when the team needs to attack, how can they stand up? If someone defends for full-time. And they can attack unscrupulously... This is indeed a very attractive prospect.

Seeing Van der Fat staring at the thing in his hand, he was tranced. Agent Sauron Lebir leaned over and asked in Dutch, "Is there any problem, Raphael?"

"Well... this is the first time I have seen such a detailed tactical commitment when I was interviewing me... I am a little unbelievable."

Seeing the two people chatting in Dutch. Tang En knew that they must be discussing this, so he stopped talking. Tang stood up and poured out the two cups of cold water in front of Lebir and Van der Fate, and changed to two cups of hot water.

"I didn't expect them to prepare so well... No, I should have thought of it long ago. After talking to me for thirty minutes, look, I'm right, this head coach is very special."

Van der Farte nodded: "It's really special. The team that has just been promoted to the Premier League for two seasons wants to win the Champions League this season. Soren, do you think he is writing a short check or an arrogant maniac?"

Lebir shook his head: "I can't say this. At least they reached the Champions League final last season, which is not a false view."

"Nottingham Forest..." Van der Fatt murmured the slightly slightly verbal name, "This is the most substantial invitation I have ever seen. He said it was right, it was indeed a real thing. However, I think I still need to consider it."

"Of course, this is related to your future decisions, and I don't want you to make a decision casually."

The two agreed and told Tang En the result - Nottingham Forest was very sincere and the conditions were very attractive, but Van der Fate still needs to consider this matter seriously, so no reply can be given to Tang En now.

Tang En understood this and was anxious to eat hot tofu. He didn't expect Van der Fate to agree immediately. After all, there were invitations from other clubs waiting for the captain of Ajax.

Anyway, he has expressed enough sincerity and offered all the conditions, so-called fulfilling his or her human affairs and keeping his destiny. He has done his or her human affairs, and what he or she has to do now is to wait for her destiny with peace of mind.

The right to choose is in the hands of Van der Fate, not his side.

On the way back, Sauron Lebir told Van der Fate that in July, the Forest team will be invited to the Netherlands to participate in the Amsterdam Invitational, and perhaps he can observe the team up close.

Van der Fate's answer was: "If you want to leave Ajax and go to a new team, it would be a bit too late to make a decision at that time..."

Upstairs of the hotel, seeing Van der Fate's car drive away through the window of the room, Don tilted his head and said, "We did everything we can, and there is nothing left. I hope it won't be a waste of time..."

"The good news is..." Don held the notebook in his hand, "Bayern Munich's offer will definitely be rejected because they once looked down on Van der Fate, and the Dutch kept it in mind.

Juventus, as a former suitor, has now gone to Serie B and is not attractive to Van der Fate. Real Madrid's real goal is Kaka, and his interest in Van der Fate is the self-hype of the Spanish media.

Arsenal bought Rosici and would not buy Van der Fate again. Another suitor - Hamburg, I believe, is not as competitive as us."
