Chapter 2 Death of the Despicable(1/2)

Author: Tide of Crows

【Morgan, my daughter.】

【You are a failure.】

——————

The sound echoed in her mind like waves of the ocean crashing against the cliff.

The baby in the cabin frowned. She was immersed in a dream, a real dream.

She could feel that at the very beginning, she was in an empty container, surrounded by cold nutrient solution and infusion tubes. The needle tip pierced the back of her hand, kneading her body and spirit at will.

Transformed into a form that pleased her Creator.

"Morgan..."

Someone is calling her.

"Failure."

This voice came to a conclusion ruthlessly, and what followed was the most severe pain. Thousands of sharp edges tore her heart apart. She curled up and could only struggle helplessly.

Then came the storm. She could hear the ever-changing laughter and angry shouts in the storm. She just felt that she was swept away by the storm, wandering in nothingness day after day, year after year, until

Where did it finally fall?

She didn't know how much time passed after that, but the sound of war and fighting came very clearly at a certain time. It was a crazy cannibalism, and she could hear the whole legion surrounding it.

They conquered and destroyed each other until there was no more sound.

So, she closed her eyes and continued to sleep.

Until the most despicable one comes from the stars.

"Are you sure you are here, Head Priest?"

The pioneer carefully stepped onto the dry land. God-Emperor, he may be the first human being to set foot in such a remote and wild land in thousands of years.

The temperature adjustment device of the MK II power armor roared due to the gusts of wind among the clouds. The pioneer raised his head and found that the next heavy rain was close at hand.

"Looks like we have to hurry, who knows what the weather is like in this damn place."

"It won't be too bad after all."

The clerk was the second to come down. He adjusted his firearm. His eyes first stayed on the distant sky for a while, and then returned to the ground, searching around for possible potential roads and dangers.

Behind him were two new recruits from the legion. They looked left and right, maintaining the most standard alert posture.

"According to the Rogue Trader's exploration diary, it is very likely that there are some traces of alien civilization here. Rather than the so-called weather, we should worry about the attackers."

As soon as the secretary finished speaking, a recruit tilted his head towards him.

"Sir, then why don't we gather an exploration force to explore an alien world with an unknown intelligence level at least..."

"It requires at least 50 soldiers, a battleship and the paperwork permission of two senior officers. I know, newcomers, I am responsible for teaching these doctrines."

The clerk patted the shoulder armor of one recruit intimately and smiled at the other: "Believe me, it is allowed to do whatever you need to do in an emergency."

Such perfunctory words obviously could not convince anyone, but it was at this time that the priest came down.

The priest was a tall and dangerous figure. His broad chin, deep-set eyes and face engraved with scriptures made people shudder. Just a glance at him made the recruits lower their heads in awe.

The priest narrowed his eyes, like a wild fox that had just had a feast. He first enjoyed the awe for a while, and then slowly walked deeper into the dense forest.

"Be careful, newcomer."

Behind him, the secretary smiled and comforted the two excellent consumables beside him.

"Pastor Erebus's temper is not very good."

——————

This is the era of rise.

With the last whimper of the past empire, the tide of chaos and madness has been rushing through the galaxy for too long, and now, with unquestionable orders, new power, new will, and new legions will bring them all together.

Once crushed, another majestic giant is using steel and flames to forge his own glorious chapter.

This is the revival of a miracle, the nirvana of a phoenix, and an immortal monument built with countless efforts and sacrifices. Every victory and conquest adds luster to this legendary story.

The Great Expedition has begun.

The Emperor's will came from Holy Terra and turned into boundless legions and fleets, torturing every corner of the galaxy. Lost lands were recovered, resistance was destroyed, and the banner of the conqueror spread like a plague.

Speculators, careerists and despicable people all shed tears for this magnificent scene. They were pleasantly surprised to find that in the waves swept up by the war, there were countless opportunities and treasures to discover...

"You can go plunder..."

Erebus whispered as alien bones and dead souls piled up into hills at his feet.

"God Emperor, what exactly happened here."

Behind him, the recruit sighed with emotion at what he saw in front of him. This was a royal court built of white bones, turning the muddy land into a snowfield. The fragments of the bones were similar to human ones, but their skulls were merciless.

Revealing their alien identities.

"These are the bones of the Eldar, there may be thousands of them."

The secretary rummaged through pieces of pendants and ornaments and carefully screened them.

"This is Eldar...Je...Jesva...Ark."

"This spiked whip is more like a torture instrument."

"What is this?...Is it a mask for acting?"

The secretary carried out his exploration with great interest, and even deviated from the team. Soon, the bones of some larger beasts appeared in his eyes, mixed with the remains of some Eldar. Obviously, at the end of his life,

For a moment, these aliens were fighting with the terrifying giant beasts, or fighting side by side.

Finally, he discovered an interesting thing, which was a communication device. After playing with it for a while, a final voice drifted out from it:

[Ilir, I really don’t understand why we are fighting here. This is not to defend the Ark. There are already so few of our kind in the galaxy, but we still have to kill each other here. 】

[Watch your attitude, Joseph. The prophets have already prophesied that the thing in this world will destroy us, so we must destroy it first.]

[Our wild brethren will not agree. That thing has been integrated with their world soul, and so are those clowns. They want to take it away. 】

[So, we fight for this...be careful! Those natural disasters from Comoros are coming...]

The words stopped abruptly, followed by chaotic gunshots and war cries, and then wailing.

It was thousands of mixed wails, messy and terrifying, as if the souls of thousands of people were being extracted alive by some force.

The clerk frowned. He threw away the thing, clapped his hands, and quickly caught up with the team, returning to his position at the back. He lowered his head under the dissatisfied gaze of Pastor Erebas, and then continued his work.

Job: adjust the muzzle of the gun and stare at the two cute recruits.

The team was advancing. Erebas closed his eyes and muttered words, letting the eight-pointed star carving held tightly in his palm lead him to the deepest part of the battlefield. There was a towering ancient tree there. It was extremely tall and majestic, but it was

Dying is like this world.

【The Folly of Prophecy.】

【Like cannibalism.】

[The scream of the soul.]

Arrived... almost there.

An unknown light appeared in the palm of his hand, and Erebus showed a satisfied smile. He stepped into the ancient tree. In the shadow, he saw the treasure wrapped in layers of dead vines.

last step……

The vague whispers of the gods flashed through his mind, making Erebas increasingly convinced that his piety had paid off.

【The blood of betrayal.】

Erebus turned his head, and following his gaze, the secretary pulled the trigger mercilessly.

Following the two gunshots, the recruits' eyes widened and they fell down one after another. Of course they would die because they were the only ones whose guns were not pointed at their companions.

The vanguard also raised his firearm. He aimed at the recruits' heads and fired one shot at a time to ensure there would be no further trouble.

Even Erebus's mind began to think after seeing this scene: What kind of reasons should we weave this time?

After a brief period of distress, excitement once again occupied the despicable man's heart. He drew out his short blade and smeared the flowing blood on the dry vines.

Behind him, the pioneer looked at the two corpses that were getting colder, and suddenly turned to look at the secretary.

"Tell me...Does the [God Emperor] really know what we are doing?"

"If he really knew, we would have died countless times."

The clerk just yawned lazily.

【Wake up.】

This is the first time.
