122. Fate

After the hospital, the neon lights had already lit up the street. Chen Rui turned a corner with Yan Chixue, and the phone rang. He picked it up casually. There was only a gentle gasp in the phone, but no one spoke. This made Chen Rui stunned for a moment, took a closer look at the unfamiliar mobile phone number, frowned and said, "If you don't speak anymore, I will hang up the phone.

There was still no sound on the opposite side, which made Chen Rui's heart turn around, a sudden feeling flashed across, then sighed and said lightly: "Susan, is it you?"

This sentence is said in English, and Chen Rui's voice was unprecedentedly low, with a sense of scattering. "Rui, it's me, I want to see you. When you left, you didn't even say hello. This time I finally came to China. I hope you don't hide from me anymore." Susan's voice was gentle and soft, as if she stuck her voice in her throat and spreading through her nasal sound. This indescribable smell exuded a wonderful temptation.

Chen Rui smiled bitterly and sighed: "Susan, I know you have gone to many places, but now I no longer have the ambitions I used to be. I am just a man who is content with the status quo and likes to live a dull life, so don't meet. Go back, America is your hometown."

"Chen Rui, I know you are a stubborn person, but I believe you will always change. I won't force you to meet me now, but I believe we will always meet. If we meet one day in this city one day, please sit down and chat with me calmly, okay?" The woman's voice was particularly charming, and it made people feel a strong smell of milk chocolate. Through this South American accent, a woman with chocolate skin color rose in her mind, as enchanting as if she was a hot meat ball.

Chen Rui sighed again, his heart turned into peace, and he said softly: "Susan, no one can change what you decided. So let's follow what you said. In such a big city, the possibility of two people meeting is very low. I didn't expect you to start playing with such an ethereal and illusory thing."

"I have always believed in fate. If we don't have fate, we wouldn't meet and wouldn't have had so many things. If I can't touch you within a year, I will return to South America with peace of mind and stop this thought." Susan murmured.

Chen Rui let out a sigh, responded, and hung up the phone. He never thought that in such a time, in such a situation, he would receive a call from Susan. He thought that if a black boy came forward, she would go back with peace of mind, but he didn't expect that she would still live in Shanghai stubbornly and even make up for something like fate.

Some things, Chen Rui expected, suddenly felt that he didn't know Susan so well. In his opinion, Susan could never do such a thing.

The car was on the elevated road. Chen Rui slowly calmed down. In this city with a population of more than 20 million, the possibility of two people meeting was almost zero. However, what made him curious was where did she find out about her phone number? Heizi was unlikely that Richard and the other two returned to North America, and the possibility of meeting her was not high. Who else would have a relationship with her?

With questions all the way, Chen Rui returned home. After parking the car, Chen Rui had just entered the corridor, but he saw five young men and two young women coming out of the elevator. He looked like migrant workers. This made Chen Rui turn his head and look at them, think for a while, and enter the elevator.

When she got home, Wang Li was sitting on the sand, and Chen Rui walked over and sat down. Only then did she look up at Chen Rui, with a faint sadness in her eyes and said, "Brother, are you back?"

"Wang Li, what's wrong? I feel uncomfortable? Or do you have any difficulties?" Chen Rui glanced at her and asked with some concern, suppressing his memories of Susan in his heart.

"It's okay, I'm thinking about what dishes to cook for my sister tomorrow at noon. She just was discharged from the hospital and always had to be more generous, but not too greasy." Wang Li looked at Chen Rui, and the dimples on his cheeks suddenly emerged.

Chen Rui nodded and suddenly said with a smile: "Wang Li, you are a kind child, so you have not learned to lie yet. If you have something to do in your heart, just tell me and don't hide it all the time."

Wang Li's face turned red, slowly lowered his head, and rubbed the corner of his clothes at a loss, and there was no sound for a moment. Chen Rui was not in a hurry, poured a cup of tea, drank slowly, and looked at Wang Li indifferently.

"Brother, my fellow villagers have just come to see me. They all encountered difficulties and didn't find any jobs in Shanghai. So not only did they have no money to eat, but they couldn't even live in the place. They were all people I knew at home before, and I wanted to help them, but I didn't have the ability to do so myself." After a while, Wang Li's voice came in a low voice, revealing a bit of youthful sorrow.

Chen Rui put down the cup in his hand and thought for a while. The three men, two women and five men seemed quite kind, but this kind of thing made him sigh. This child just doesn't hold grudges, just like a blank paper. He suffered a loss before, but he forgot so quickly, and he began to want to help others again.

"Wang Li, just study hard. Leave the affairs of these fellow villagers to me." Chen Rui patted her head and said with a smile, then changed the subject: "Sometimes, you have to learn to be smarter. Not anything, it will be as simple as it seems."

Wang Li looked at Chen Rui in confusion, as if he didn't understand what he said, but he still nodded, two dimples appeared on his face, and said softly: "Brother, I understand, then I will trouble my brother again."

After saying that, she got up and went into the kitchen, brought out a plate of fruit and a drink from it. The diced fruits were mixed with apples, watermelons and cucumbers, and the color was tempting. She had just taken it out of the refrigerator and brought a little smoothie.

Chen Rui picked up the fork and ate a few pieces, then glanced at her: "Wang Li, you have a break early. I'm going out now to do something."

Wang Li nodded, glanced at Chen Rui at the corner of his eyes, his face suddenly turned red, he ran to Chen Rui, and said stutteringly, "Brother, don't forget to drink tonics. As long as my brother doesn't dislike me, I will always cook for you in the future."
