Ah, Lingtai to Bailicheng, along Daxichuan, all the way westward, the wheat fields, millet fields, and buckwheat fields in the military camps were constantly looking at the sky, and the entire scale was even better than the military camps of the Shence Army. Among them, the winter wheat had been basically harvested, and the wheat sheafs that had not yet entered the warehouse were shining with golden and intoxicating glory in the sun. In the hot weather, the families of Jingzhou and the families of the fields were busy sweating like rain. Some had already begun to plant green manure crops in the harvested wheat fields. The children were carrying various jars on their heads and were delivering food to the fields. The smoke from the cooking smoke drifted around.

Gao Yue also wiped the sweat from his neck, squinted his eyes, and looked at the sun hanging above his head. It shone brightly, transmitting the white clouds around him even thinner. The grass and fields in the distance were twisting and deformed in the evaporating heat wave.

Although this is a bit ridiculous, it is something everyone cares about.

So Mingxuan told him the story of Tanluan, the ancestor of the Pure Land Sect.

He said that when Tanluan was young, he visited Jurong Mountain in the south of the Yangtze River and saw Tao Hongjing's true appearance, and obtained ten volumes of the "Immortal Sutra". Tao Hongjing told Tanluan that practicing according to this sutra can lead to immortality.

When Tanluan returned to his hometown of Wutai Mountain with the Immortal Sutra, he passed by Luoyang and met the monk Bodhi Liuzhi. The other party told Tanluan that if you obtain the Immortal Sutra, you may prolong your life, or may you return to your old age and live a hundred years longer. However, even if you live for five hundred years, it is just a matter of a flash of fingers in these three thousand worlds. In the end, you can't escape the "Three Affinities of Reincarnation", and it will still be false in the end. So Bodhi Liuzhi told Tanluan that the most important thing is not to face life and death, but how to liberate life and death. Then he gave Tanluan this book "Amitabha Sutra", saying, "This great immortal is the way to practice in the practice of illuminating life and death."

"So Master Tanluan burned the immortal scriptures and focused on practicing the Western Pure Land." Mingxuan then said to the believers, "Yuliu (Taoism) emphasizes personal cultivation, but now the world is so hard that it can no longer save hundreds of millions of believers by relying solely on their own strength. They must receive the blessing of the Buddha's original vows before they can be reborn in the Pure Land. And where does the original vows come from? Just as Master Tanluan said, there are only two powers and two ways, chanting the name of the Buddha, chanting the Buddha's name, chanting the Buddha's name, chanting the Buddha's name, chanting the Buddha's light, chanting the Buddha's divine power, chanting the Buddha's merits, chanting the Buddha's wisdom, chanting the Buddha's original vows, chanting the Buddha's name in this way is the time of happiness."

Gao Yue stood in the side corridor, listening to Master Mingxuan's words, and roughly understood. He had only known that Mingxuan was a monk before, but he was not very clear about which sect he believed in. Now he can be sure - Mingxuan pursues the Pure Land Sect, but the Pure Land Sect is not a Buddhist sect with independent organizations. Monks from any sect can pursue the so-called Pure Land. Therefore, the Pure Land Sect can be said to be "Entertainment Sect", that is, it is closer to a universal idea rather than a sect.

"It turns out that by chanting the name of Buddha, you can be reborn in the Pure Land of Amitabha!" At this time, several female believers sighed.

Master Mingxuan smiled and nodded, saying, "Maitreya builds the Pure Land and transcends the Three Realms. As long as you recite the Buddha, keep the precepts, and eliminate desires, you can obtain the Buddha's original vows. After the death, you will enter the forty-nine treasure palace. After you have no reward, you will be served by the heavenly maids."

"Really?" At this moment, many people who came to listen to the lecture asked excitedly and anxiously.

Gao Yue sighed and shook his head. Why did people convert to religion in ancient times? It was because they were too hard in this world, with wars and chaos, birth, old age, sickness and death, youth and life were fleeting, but they often had suffering and resentment. It was no different from now on. People at least had the dignity of being human. Although "**happiness" is cheap, it is at least a kind of entertainment that can effectively anesthetize themselves.

The group of people in front of him were the most concerned about whether they could be reborn in the so-called Pure Land after death without going through disasters.

At this time, Master Mingxuan answered, "You can just recite the name of Maitreya Buddha. If you recite it once, you will gather a grain of rice. The rice can be made into a bucket, and the original wish can also be a helping karma. Remember, in a moment, reciting the name of Maitreya can eliminate the sins of life and death for one thousand and two hundred kalpas; those who hear the name of Maitreya and hold hands together to respect can eliminate the sins of life and death for fifty kalpas; if you respect Maitreya, you can eliminate the sins of life and death for tens of billions of kalpas."

"I am a Buddha, merciful!" At this time, all believers understood how to do it, and they clasped their hands together, and then started chanting the scriptures.

After hearing this, Gao Yue couldn't help but nodded secretly. Originally, although Master Mingxuan had achieved great meditation in the temple, he was repeatedly excluded and failed to show his strengths. But once he was really able to do things, he would soon reach the peak. Because this Pure Land Sect is different from other Buddhist sects, its influence among the people should not be underestimated - why? Because Pure Land Sect always promotes a concept, "I am here to be compassionate and save all sentient beings." And the Buddha's original wish is not achieved by the individual monks, but by the participation of the broad masses of believers. How to escape the disaster of life and death? It's very simple. Even if you don't know one big word, as long as you can "recite the name of the Buddha" and recite the name of Maitreya repeatedly, you can get the "shortcut" to be reborn in the Pure Land.

Its classic "Amitabha Sutra" has only two thousand words in its entirety, which is easy to understand.

Low threshold, high returns, and strong universality, the Pure Land Sect has become the most down-to-earth Buddhist sect in this era. No wonder Alantu Temple has been following Master Qi Mingxuan since it arrived in Bailicheng, Fengxiang, Qingzhou, Binzhou and Ningzhou.

"Master, how dare you ask about the relationship between Maitreya and Pure Land?" When Master Mingxuan finished the forum and savored tea with Gao Yue in the forest garden in the backyard, Gao Yue asked curiously.

Ming Xuan smiled calmly and said, "In fact, I will not hide it from Tan Yue. Mahayana Maitreya and Hinayana Maitreya, Mahayana Pure Land and Hinayana Pure Land are actually different."

"Oh, I hope to hear it carefully."

"Tanyue, the Pure Land of Maitreya in Maitreya transcends beyond the three realms, while the Pure Land of Hinayana in Maitreya is still within the three realms." After saying that, Ming Xuan paused and said meaningful words, "Simply put, one is the birth of Maitreya in the upper part and the other is the birth of Maitreya in the lower part."

"Birth above, birth below?"

Ming Xuan pointed his finger at the heaven, "Maitreya was born in the upper reaches. Even if Maitreya Bodhisattva built a Pure Land in the Tushita Heaven, sentient beings can vow to be reborn in that Pure Land; Maitreya Bodhisattva will eventually be born under the dragon tree in the world to save sentient beings."
