Chapter 195(2/2)

After the little girl kowtowed, Leader Li, Elder Yi and others smiled happily. Elder Xing, with a smile in his eyes, shouted "The ceremony is completed!"

He sang a rite of completion, which represented the successful completion of the first step of the apprenticeship ceremony.

The second generation, third generation, fourth generation and fifth generation disciples burst into laughter and shouted in unison: "Congratulations to Master/Uncle/Uncle/Uncle/Uncle to Grand Master/Uncle to Grand Master on being a disciple!"

Mr. Yi smiled so hard that he couldn't see his teeth. He reached out to pick up his good disciple and touched his little head and forehead lovingly to see if there were any bruises. The little disciple was very serious and kowtowed until his forehead turned red.

The first step of the apprenticeship ceremony has been completed, but not all of it. There is also the opening of the ancestral hall to offer sacrifices, and then it is time to worship the God of Poseidon and the God of Wealth at the Earth Temple.

After those two steps, the new disciple meets the elders.

The disciples quickly set up the chairs and placed two chairs directly in front of the Eight Immortals table. Master Li took the middle seat and Mr. Yi took the chair on the east side.

The master and Mr. Yi took their seats, and the disciples arranged chairs to the west of the Eight Immortals Table, that is to the right of the master, and placed eight Taishi chairs in a row.

Elder Xing and Senior Brother Jianzai sat down one by one. They took their seats from the second chair on the right side of the master to the west, leaving one chair vacant.

The tea serving disciples are ready.

Elder Yi personally held his little disciple's hand, crossed the empty one first, and walked to Elder Xing: "Leshan, this is your Uncle Xing. Your Uncle Xing is the thirteenth."

The welcoming envoy immediately took a tuanpu and placed it in front of Elder Xing, and then took the saucer handed by the tea serving disciples.

Leshan knelt down and made nine more bang-dong-dong sounds. He took the saucer and raised it high above his head: "Thirteenth uncle is invited to drink tea."

The milky sound is full of vitality.

Elder Xing happily took the tea cup and took a sip of tea, then put the tea cup back into the saucer. While saying "good boy", he took out a red envelope and put it in the saucer.

Instead of lecturing him, he drank tea and gave him a red envelope. This was the gift of recognizing an elder of the sect.

He led the chief and deputy envoys to help him get the red envelopes, handed over tea trays for tea cups, took away the tufts, and moved them to the next elder.

Mr. Yi will introduce who this person is and where he ranks.

Happy to kowtow and serve tea.

The elders who received kowtows from the juniors drank tea and gave red envelopes.

Then the next one.

Elder Yi and his young disciples recognized their elders one by one, and Leshan repeated the process of kowtowing, serving tea, receiving red envelopes, and transferring them seven times.

After recognizing the seven uncles and uncles, Mr. Yi took his young disciple back to the empty chair on the right side of the master. He then told his apprentice which uncles and uncles had passed away and asked him to formally pay homage to him.

Masters and uncles.

The reason why we recognize the living elders first is because those who have passed away are also among the ancestors who enjoy the incense of their descendants. Previously, when new disciples paid homage to the ancestors of the sect, they were also worshiping them once, so when recognizing relatives, they should be given to the living elders first.

They bowed greatly and paid homage to their deceased elders.

When Mr. Yi talked about the late master Bo, his disciples immediately held the master's tablet and went to sit on an empty chair, receiving gifts from the master, drinking tea, and giving red envelopes.

If his disciples have passed away, his disciples and grandchildren will sit holding the master's tablet to receive the ceremony on his behalf.

After receiving the ceremony, his disciples placed the tablets on the offering table behind the Eight Immortals table, and then stepped away. When Mr. Yi introduced another uncle or uncle who had passed away, his disciples would hold the tablets and receive the gifts on their behalf.

After Mr. Yi introduced the deceased brothers and sisters, the part of recognizing the elders also came to an end.

After becoming a disciple, you recognize your elders, not your relatives, so you do not immediately recognize your senior brothers and accept the salutes from the juniors of the same sect.
