Chapter 435 Light Boat (Happy New Year!)
In Yuchen's philosophy, the so-called reincarnation in the Yin world is just a cycle of yin and yang, life and death, and life in death. As long as you grasp the two paths of life and death, whether it is the three paths or the six paths, it is nothing more detailed on the basis of life and death.
In the previous dungeon world, Yuchen had successfully completed the construction of the underworld.
This time, taking advantage of the renewal of everything, Yuchen took advantage of the situation to integrate the power of the new and old world Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas, forged the prototype of the underworld, and experimented with some new ideas about reincarnation.
Yuchen, who did not have enough materials this time, chose the entry point of the Bisang Flower.
Yu Chen took advantage of the inward birth and the way of reincarnation was not yet settled, and used the method of planting lotus to plant the concept of the other shore flower into the underworld. From then on, the other shore flower in this world will be rooted in the underworld, which will not only stabilize the underworld, but also absorb the seven emotions, six desires and sins that may be deposited into the underworld in the future.
During this period, Yuchen also added a little Buddhist concept. When the red shore flower absorbs the sins and seven emotions and six desires in the underworld to a certain extent, it will ignite the karma fire and burn the sins, so that the turbid evil spirits that were originally entangled with karma without cause and effect karma will be purified and condensed in the karma fire in the future.
If there is anything difficult to deal with in the process of burning the sins of the other side of the flower, and the stubborn emotions are not like the previous copy world, which allows them to settle on the edge of the long river and turn into three life stones. Instead, they are combined with the yin and turbid evil energy, and settle in the underworld, turning into special minerals, and producing the underworld.
Finally, absorbing the turbid air of the underworld and accompanied by karma fire can also be regarded as a spiritual object in Yuchen's calculations. It can be used to raise monsters living in the underworld in the future. If you have good luck, it can also be used as an auxiliary material specially used to refine various unique elixirs in the underworld.
Therefore, when you feel the vibration of the Pure Land and step on the golden lotus to the sea of Dharma in the dark world, the first thing you see is a fiery red sea of flowers.
"This is..." Fahai, who saw the essence of the red spider flower, was very surprised, and then reached out to pick one, and sighed: "I didn't expect that the cycle of reincarnation will bloom again!"
After saying that, the red shore flower was put back to its original place. When the green stems were broken, a faint glow suddenly appeared and grew together again.
Fahai continued to move forward. Every step he took, a golden and red lotus would emerge under his feet. He raised his foot again, and the lotus scattered, turning into Buddha's light and blending into the underworld to nourish the other side of the flower, while Fahai himself went far away.
After walking for about a quarter of an hour, the Fahai, which passed through the sea of flowers on the other side, stopped in front of a long river. The black water surging in the long river, the yin energy spread, and countless dead souls were intercepted.
In the black water, there are countless wishes, which turn into undercurrents, disrupting the black water, making it divided into three parts. The outermost black water is turbulent and turbid, terrifying and unpredictable. The flow rate in the middle is slow and turbid, and the innermost clear and transparent gives people the feeling of being pure and worry-free and sleeping forever.
Among the three undercurrents, the outermost covers the widest area, accounting for almost half of the black water, followed by the second type, accounting for more than 40% of the whole. Except for most of the middle layer of the black water, there are very few parts in the outermost layer, making the already difficult river even more dangerous.
As for the last one, it is around the other side of the long river. Even with Fahai's eyesight, he can only see some bright light, like a line of defense to protect the Pure Land.
"River of Styx?" Fahai looked at the black water in front of him and frowned slightly. With his eyesight, he could naturally see that the river water was one of the origins of this underworld, and the undercurrent was transformed by people's fear of death, with an extremely terrifying adsorption ability, just like the legendary weak water, without buoyancy and unable to fly.
Just when Fahai was in a dilemma, a stream of ancient music sounded, and then a light boat floated in front of him.
The light boat was about two feet long, with a green lamp hanging in front of it. The ghost of the boat stood behind, wearing a mask and wearing a robe, and after the boat was docked on the shore, he spoke to Fahai: "Please sit at the guest."
Fahai looked at the boat, then looked back at the sea of flowers on the other side that could not be seen at the edge, and walked onto the boat, surprised to find that there were other people on the boat.
A monk wearing a broken cassock, a torn hat, a broken fan in one hand, and a braised chicken legs in the other. Apart from his slightly plump figure, he was no different from a beggar in the world.
"Yeah, isn't this Zen Master Fahai? Why did you come here too?"
Fahai looked at the monk and felt that the image looked familiar, but he seemed to be a little wrong when he saw the other person's cheek. He thought for a while and frowned and said, "Are you... Monk Daoji?"
Daoji put the chicken legs in his arms, picked up his sleeves and wiped his mouth, stood in front of him with one hand, and tilted the fan with the other, and said, "I am a monk Yang Qi and I have met Zen Master Fahai."
Fahai frowned even tighter because he smelled a scent of wine when Daoji opened his mouth.
The wine is cold and has a scent of intoxicating smell. But after Fahai smelled it, his face was very cold. He stared at Daoji and said coldly: "I have heard that Yang Qi sent a crazy monk, a crazy monk. When I saw it today, it is indeed well-known. I openly violated the Five Precepts and drank for fun. I don't know what the seniors of the Yang Qi sect thought, but they didn't drive you out of the mountain."
Daoji was not angry when he heard this, but just picked up the chicken legs and chewed them again. After a few seconds, most of the chicken legs were filled with stomachs. His face was covered with greasy food. From time to time, he even smashed his mouth, took a gourd from his waist, and took a sip of wine.
Fahai's eyebrows twitched slightly, and just when he couldn't bear it, Daoji spoke: "Zen Master is prejudiced in his mind. I want me to say, the Buddha left a poem, and I cultivate my mind and he cultivated my mouth. Others cultivated my mouth but not my heart, but I cultivated my mind and did not cultivate my mouth."
While speaking, Daoji was still walking along the light boat, shaking his head, which was so comfortable.
"Wine and meat pass through the intestines, and the Buddha sits in his heart?" Although Fahai is a little arrogant, he is also very proficient in Buddhism. He knew what Daoji meant at first. He thought for a moment and raised his eyebrows and said, "Although your thoughts are good, you need a very high Buddhist nature and Zen mind to maintain it."
Speaking of this, Fahai looked at the chicken legs in Daoji's hand again. Taking advantage of the time he had just thought, he could see that there was no resentment on the chicken legs in Daoji's hand, and it was a member of the five pure meats.
The so-called five-pure meat means that there is no killing meat, which refers to meat that is not done by yourself or that is not seen by others; it does not hear the sound of killing, it is not killed by yourself, nor is it allowed to kill others, and it does not hear the crying sound of sentient beings when others slaughter; it does not kill for me, it is not the meat that others get to kill sentient beings for themselves; it is the meat that dies by oneself, naturally old age and illness; the remaining meat that birds and beasts fight, and swallow each other.
Meat that meets these five situations, or all other meats that do not deprive others of their lives, and cause pain to other sentient beings, are called the Five Pure Meat in Buddhism.
There is a saying in the "Lingyun Sutra": "I ordered the monks to eat the five pure meats. These meats are all me, and they are transformed into divine power, and they have no life roots... I just call them meat, and you get the taste."
This is a convenient method opened by Buddhist monks who want to be vegetarian because they cannot do it for a while. It is to reduce the suspicion of being serious about future generations and make a special decision.
But this statement is similar to the unspoken rule, so it can only be said that Daoji's devouring of such meat is a bad influence, and it cannot be said that he violated the precepts because of eating meat.
Fahai, who understands this, pointed out the problem of Daoji: "Although your flesh belongs to the Five Pure Ones, ordinary people cannot understand the key. If someone rashly imitates your behavior, he will only fall into the devil's way. Doing this way will really be a loss of our thoughts of educating sentient beings."
Daoji smiled and said, "There are already Zen masters and great masters who have made such a solemn appearance in their precious form, and they guide sentient beings in front of me. I am just a layman, so I can take a cleverness to use this to enlighten the stubborn and foolish. What's wrong with it?"
When Fahai heard this, he took out the bowl and whispered: "Well, you and I have different opinions on this matter, and no one can convince anyone. Let's put it aside for the time being? Let me ask you, why do you see evil demons and heretics, hungry ghosts and evil spirits, and harm other ghosts, and do not stop the rescue?"
In the last sentence, the sound of Fahai was like a thunder thunder, which shocked the surrounding black water. The bowl in his hand was raised high, and domineering golden lights splashed out.
Daoji smiled but did not stop him. Seeing this, the person who was raising the boat at the stern knocked on the hull. The green light placed at the front of the boat emitted a faint light, covering the surroundings, pressing down the rolling black water, stabilizing the hull, and at the same time blocking the Buddha light emitted from the bowl.
However, Fahai's action exposed the other two ghosts.
One of them was wearing slings, with a thin face, skinny limbs and a high belly. His eyes were not even alive, like a pool of stagnant water, deep, empty, and terrible.
When Fahai used a bowl to cover him, he just looked up and lowered his head, licked a bone with a little bit of minced meat and blood.
The owner of the bone was a teenager. He was also very thin and seemed to have endured hunger for a long time. There was no flesh on his cheeks, which should have been quite pretty. His big and protruding eyes and high and raised cheekbones made him look a little scary.
But his eyes were very bright, revealing a hint of relief and joy.
If you don't look below his neck, the boy will give people the feeling that he is a cheerful child, but has a difficult life and a weird personality.
But if you look under his neck, you will see a hollowed-out body, the bones that the child licked were really his sternum.
Seeing this, Fahai pressed down the bowl in his hand, and the Buddha's light became more and more mellow, but the light was still bright and unaffected. As for the boy, he stretched out his thin hand and placed it on the boy's head, and whispered: "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, eat slowly, as long as you don't hurt others, there are still some..."
As he said that, the boy absorbed some of the yin energy around him, and his broken body began to repair again. The new flesh and blood stimulated the boy's consciousness, and a trace of desire appeared in his empty eyes. But in the end, for some reason, he still forced himself to swallow it, but just bit his lower lip and licked the blood in it.
Fahai frowned when he saw this scene, not knowing what he was thinking, but he put down the bowl in his hand and sat beside Daoji, looking at the two children.
The boat continued to move forward, and then Fahai realized that the light boat was not simply ferrying on the black water, but occasionally went to the world to bring some dead souls down.
At this time, the boy will feed the boy, repair himself, support his high bulge, stand at the bow of the boat, and drive away those living souls that are not dead yet.
"Get out! This is not the place you should come!"
"It's not that I can't survive. Why are you here? Are you laughing at me? Get out of here!"
"Stop coming up again, come up again, you won't be able to leave!"
With a hoarse roar, the boy would pick up everything and drive them out, and the other dead souls were quite afraid of him.
As time passed day by day, Fahai watched the boy continue to give birth to his flesh and blood, feeding the boy, and his spare time would drive away those souls. Through the boy's constant telling the boy that he could not eat other people's words, Fahai had some guesses in his heart.
He asked Daoji, who replied, "I came earlier than you, and I know some inside story. Now the world is too chaotic, and the boy is also a living soul, but his family members are dead. He is too young, and he came on the boat three times. He was driven away by the boy two times, and he couldn't leave the third time."
"Do you starve to death?" Fahai sighed.
"It's not just starving to death." Daoji, who knew the inside story, understood that everything in front of him was half true and half false. Many of the contents were created by Yuchen, but according to Yuchen, everything happened. Therefore, Daoji's tone was a little low, and he said, "When I saw the boy for the third time, there was no piece of meat on his body, most of his bones were broken, and there were some tooth marks on it."
Fahai's expression changed rapidly. The form of the ghost represented his appearance before his death. What would leave a person with only some bones left after his death, and there were tooth marks on it.
The meaning of it is self-evident.
Immediately afterwards, Daoji said: "The boy is also a hungry ghost, and his situation is similar to that boy, but the only difference is that when I first came, the boy was carrying the sin of genie killing his relatives."
"His he killed his relatives?" Fahai heard this and observed carefully, but he could not see any sins in the young man. Instead, he had a subtle blessing and a thin deed.
The former comes from this light boat, while the latter is the blessing brought by him to drive away his soul.
Fahai carefully traced back, but the young man seemed to feel something. He glanced at Fahai, his dark eyes looked at Fahai, and his thoughts like tides surged out of his eyes, and followed his eyes and kept rushing towards Fahai's mind.
It was a terrible feeling of hunger, a feeling of being unbearable, able to make people crazy, lose their minds, and turn into beasts that are worse than monsters.
Even if Fahai's Zen mind is stable, it is still difficult to maintain absolute rationality under the impact of such a sense of hunger, and the mind is lost for a moment.
