Extras: Hall of Fame Speech

In 2017, Grant Hill was inducted into the Hall of Fame without any suspense.

When he chose the Hall of Fame recommender, he won the Mo Mengchen, who had been inducted into the Hall of Fame without hesitation.

Mo Mengchen retired in 2007, so he was undoubtedly inducted into the Hall of Fame in the summer of 2011, but he did not appear in the Hall of Fame.

Generally, such things will only happen to deceased celebrities.

However, Dor.mo has always been like this after he retired. The Hall of Fame Committee expressed his understanding. Mo Mengchen also apologized afterwards and said that he would make up for the Hall of Fame speech if he had the opportunity.

But no player was selected for the Hall of Fame twice, and no one took this kind of blank check that could not be fulfilled seriously.

At this year's Hall of Fame scene, Mo Mengchen was sure to attend. He will stand by his side as Hill's Hall of Fame recommender and listen to his speech "Thank you parents, thank you heaven and earth".

"12 championships, 3 finals Most Valuable Player, 1 regular season Most Valuable Player, 10 Best Team selected, 9 Best Defensive Team selected, 16 All-Stars..."

“Let us welcome 2017 Hall of Fame member Grant Hill and 2011 Hall of Fame member Dor.mo!”

The two of them stood up at the same time, and the shouts at the scene made Hill a little doubt whether these calls belong to him.

Standing on the stage, Hill began to show his eloquence.

Back then, he offended Collins because of this mouth that he couldn't rest. Now he can finally say whatever he wants, because he is a TNT analyst and now he is standing on his stage.

The only thing Mo Mengchen cares about is how this guy will stand on this stage to praise him?

After all, it is not an exaggeration to say that he saved Hill's career.

However, Hill didn't know if it was intentional, and he dragged it until the end before he started talking about Mo Mengchen.

"Many people may think that if I invite Dor.mo to be my Hall of Fame referee, he would agree happily. After all, we are such good friends." Hill finally said what Mo Mengchen wanted to hear, what the guests on site wanted to hear, and what the fans wanted to hear.

There were many Pistons players sitting on the scene. When they heard Hill say this, they started to cheer, screaming and shouting.

Who will remind these people? Let them know what an elegant place this is.

"No, it's not that easy," Hill said. "You know, I've played for 18 years and many seniors have helped me. Some of them have been in the Hall of Fame. I want them to be my referee, but this guy is not willing to stand with that old guy."

Hill had already proved that he was an extremely excellent speaker, and his words made the audience laugh.

Mo Mengchen also looked helpless, and he was afraid of traitors in everything.

"No matter what I say, he's worn out his mouth, and he doesn't accept standing with Joe Dumas, Patrick Ewing and his dear coach K." The three people Hill said came to the scene today and they sat off the court.

Hill continued, "Since that's the case, I think, okay, who told him to be dor.mo?"

Hill waited until the laughter stopped, and then continued, "I don't know what dor.mo looks like in your eyes. However, I am willing to share with you the dor.mo in my eyes."

It's over, my image is out of stock tonight.

Hill said: "He is cruel, vicious, mean, and difficult to get close to. He is like a medieval tyrant. Any player who has had direct contact with him will recognize my words."

“yes!”

The echoes at the scene were heard. There were many old opponents of the Pistons back then. When they heard Hill's dark Mo Mengchen, they remembered all the sadness that came to their hearts. They were not allowed to respond loudly, so that the world could know the true face of Dor.mo.

Some people actually regard him as a high-quality idol? It is simply a tragedy on earth!

Hilton took a break and continued, "He redefined my understanding of the leader. He likes to make training matches into high-intensity formal matches. He is accustomed to challenging teammates, including me, in various ways in daily life. Those who dare not accept the challenge will be ridiculed by him to lose their qualifications as a human being. Don't deny this."

The laughter at the scene became higher than the other, and Mo Mengchen had to shrugged and spread his hands: OK, whatever you say is what you say.

"He always tells everyone, including me, with the highest standards, the strictest attitude and the roughest way, what is perfect. You should know that it is very hard to be teammates with such people, let alone we have been teammates for thirteen years?" Hill became happier and happier as he spoke, and he couldn't hold on to the goal. "So careful fans should be able to find that in the years after this guy retired, I looked much younger."

He had to stop and let the laughter calm.

Then, Hill said: "But it's his strict and high standards day after day that everyone on the Pistons can stand our time playing from November to the end of June of the following season."

"It is also his strict style that he did not give up any teammate, which allowed each of us to keep up with him."

"He is so strict and excellent. Standing by his side always makes me breathless, but it is precisely because of this that I have to lift myself to a higher level. Only in this way can I not be thrown away by him." Hill said. "He is the best player in history in my mind. He can shoot three-pointers from any position like Stephen Curry; he can break through and dunk like LeBron James; once he enters the critical moment... those legendary moments, I think you have all witnessed, and I don't need to say more."

Hill said: "He is so excellent, but in my opinion, the most fascinating trait in him is selflessness, willingness to trust his teammates, and a collectivist who is dedicated to the team."

"Everyone knows the story of the seventh game of the 2006 Finals. For me, it is a game that completely defines what kind of player he is." Hill glanced at Mo Mengchen, "There is a saying in "A man named Ouvi decides to die": 'There is always a moment in everyone's life that determines what kind of person they will become. If you don't understand that story, you don't understand that person.' If you want to know what kind of person dor.mo is, then you should go and watch that game, it is a game that completely interprets him."

"I am extremely honored to be able to work with you for thirteen years. Thank you, Mo."

Hill's speech ended with thunderous applause.

Momonchen and Hill hugged each other.

Hill is the last Hall of Fame member tonight's speech. This year's Hall of Fame should have ended here, but when Mo Mengchen was about to step down, Cran Roger, the president of the Hall of Fame committee, called him: "Mo, you said you would come back to make up for the original Hall of Fame speech when you have the chance. I think it's better to choose a day than a day. What do you think?"

Mo Mengchen was about to refuse, but he heard a live broadcast saying: "Next, please invite Dor.mo to bring you the speech he left in 2011."

“!@#!¥”

The guests at the scene stood up with all their might and cheered excitedly, which was more enthusiastic than anyone else's voice tonight.

Mo Mengchen looked at Crane Roger with a look of "Are you playing with me?": "I think I should have no room for rejection."

"Please, Mo." Cran Roger smiled.

Mo Mengchen stood on the high platform, with many teammates and opponents from that time on the court, and there were no Hall of Fame recommenders around him. This was a special Hall of Fame speech.

"First of all, I want to thank Grant for making the scandals made public for making more than ten years ago." Mo Mengchen glanced at Hill sitting below, "Good job, mom!"

The scene was hilarious.

Mo Mengchen continued: "Secondly, I want to apologize to the Hall of Fame Committee. For the failure of the agreement that year, I can give a reasonable explanation because Grace was about to become a mother at that time - Grace was a lion who was raised by me and my family since childhood. It was his first childbirth, so I couldn't leave. This is my final explanation for this matter."

His seemingly arrogant and rude attitude made everyone re-recognize dor.mo.

As a player back then, a global idol, he had to pay attention to the influence of everything he did, but now it is different.

Those who like him crazy are already old and they can accept any image of the dor.mo.

"I'm not prepared for today's speech, so the speech will not be long, but I would like to thank several people in particular."

Mo Mengchen glanced at the scene and was sure that the person was not there. "I want to thank Coach Doug Collins for bringing me to Detroit (the booed me on the spot), so that I became the starter in my rookie season, and also thanked him for letting Bruce Bowen show mercy." The boo became huge and harsh.

A smile to eliminate grudges? It’s impossible.

Mo Mengchen and others calmed down the voice on the spot and continued: "Thanks to Michael Jordan, he and the Bulls gave us two failures indirectly helped the Pistons become an invincible steel team, so I was very unhappy about his choice to retire in 1998. Why didn't he play for another year? Then we could step on him and the Bulls to win the championship, and now there will be no more gossip about 'You will definitely not be able to win the championship with Michael'."

Is this a Hall of Fame speech? It doesn't seem to be very similar.

Others’ Hall of Fame speeches are always grateful for those who can be thanked, but Mo Mengchen did the opposite.

After saying that, Mo Mengchen swept around again. To be honest, he was not prepared at all.

"Given that I have not suffered many failures, I don't plan to pull out the people I have defeated to thank each other one by one. We only hate each other. Thank you is too hypocritical." People are recognizing the true face of Dor.mo. He is so afraid/hate among the players. It is not without reason.

Mo Mengchen looked at his teammates sitting off the court and began to thank him in disguise: "Eddie, I'm very happy that you haven't become a fat man who eats freely."

"Merlo, it's so gratifying to see you haven't become a heartless idiot."

"Brendon, I don't plan to thank you. Without my help, you are now enjoying your retirement life."

"Manu, you have to thank me too. Without me, you are a vulgar middle-aged bald man now."

"Gerard, you are the one I have to thank, 'Thank you're not a coward."

"Jamar, your selflessness is enough to be a model for all players."

"Jerome, I miss your barking from time to time, and hope you are all well."

"There are many people." Mo Mengchen smiled, "Sorry, I don't want to be as long-winded as my mother. I won't take up too much of your time."

Mo Mengchen became serious: "What Grant's comment on me just now, and everything you said to me is true. He endured me for thirteen years under this situation."

"So, the person I should thank the most is him." Mo Mengchen said, "Everyone is a maverick, and some people can't even stand the inequality for a day, let alone this guy has endured me for thirteen years?"

"but..."

"It is his tolerance, his concession, his humility, his demeanor and kindness that makes me always get more and more frugal, because I know he will never take it to heart." Mo Mengchen looked at Hill heavily, "So, Grant, it is also my honor to be a teammate with you, thank you."

Mo Mengchen looked at the audience: "I want to thank my family, thank them for their support, and make me wholeheartedly."

"I have to thank the league, too, for creating such a good stage for my talent to blossom."

"I want to thank the fans, your cheers and boos are just as important to me."

Mo Mengchen decided to end the speech.

"I was once gifted, and God took it away and returned it to me a fragile body, which forced me to run and jump carefully on the court. I was always worried about being injured again due to an unreasonable collision or an excessive change of direction."

"Being able to play 13 years healthy for me has made me believe that God is still favoring me. He just wants to give me some tests. There will be a difficult situation in everyone's life. I was in despair and wanted to seek death, but if I really died at that time, I wouldn't have everything I am today."

"Until the end, I could not only proudly say that I have lived twice, but also that I have experienced two completely different lives, two completely different people."

"Thanks."

After Mo Mengchen said that, he stepped down and hugged the president of the Hall of Fame Committee, and then hugged many teammates in the audience.

For the world, a legend that can never be copied is being sealed by history.

Mo Mengchen finally said a few words to Hill, and then returned to his family.

This is the destination of the best player in NBA history.

Calm when you come, calm when you go.
