【Chapter 7】Go to the market

Yu Wan dug a few ground dragons on the ground and threw them into the water. After a while, a fish swam over with their tails.

After a while, Yu Wan grabbed the dead branches on the ground and stabbed them into the water!

Without pricking, the fish escaped.

Yu Wan was not discouraged and continued after changing places.

After a few twists and turns, Yu Wan successfully stabbed a large wild crucian carp. The fish weighed two pounds and was very fat among the wild crucian carp.

After that, Yu Wan's thorns were no longer as heavy as that, but there were four, which was a great harvest.

It was almost noon, and Xiao Tiedan was about to be hungry. Yu Wan stopped when she saw it was ready and took the wild fish home.

Little Tiedan seemed to hear her footsteps and ran out of the kitchen: "Sister! You're back!"

"Yeah." Yu Wan nodded, walked through the small bamboo field in her backyard, and went into the stove with Xiao Tiedan.

"Sister!" Xiao Tiedan didn't rush to see what was in her backpack, but took her hand and pointed to the main hall and said, "Brother is here! I brought us a lot of food!"

Big brother?

Yu Wan's mind moved, the eldest son of the uncle's family?

"Brother! Sister is back!"

Yu Feng came to Awan's house to deliver cornmeal to Awan's house, but this did not mean that he was willing to talk to this cousin. When he heard Xiao Tiedan call Ajie, he turned around and left, but unexpectedly, Xiao Tiedan's eyes were so sharp that he stopped him.

Yu Feng is not leaving now, nor is he staying.

But Yu Wan walked over with a calm expression.

Yu Wan did not inherit any memory of the old house, so she did not know the matter between the original owner and the uncle's family, and thought that the relationship between the two families was very good. Otherwise, how could they take care of Xiao Tiedan so much?

Yu Wan put her back basket in the stove and went to the main hall to meet Yu Feng.

This is a tall man, around the age of 20, has sun exposure all year round, and his skin is not white, but his facial features are strong and he looks a bit handsome.

"Brother." Yu Wan greeted him.

Yu Feng was shocked and almost thought he had heard it wrong.

Xiao Tiedan ran over, grabbed the two cloth bags on the table, and said to Yu Wan: "Sister! This is the millet sent by the elder brother! This is the cornmeal sent by the elder brother!"

Yu Wan took the cloth bag into her hand.

Yu Feng thought she wanted to refuse, but suddenly heard her warmly say, "Why are there so many? Did the eldest brother keep it at home?"

It’s not that they dislike the amount of gifts they give, but that they are worried that they have too much food to eat at home?

When did she worry about their life or death?!

If it weren't for hearing it with your own ears, Yu Feng wouldn't have believed it was true.

Yu Wan looked at the stunned elder brother and bent her lips slightly: "Thank you, brother."

The girl's smile was clear and lively, without a trace of contempt, nor perfunctory. She was expressing her gratitude sincerely.

Yu Feng calmed down and said with a stern face: "It's not a valuable thing. My parents asked me to take it over and said... Thank you for the chicken yesterday."

"Is it delicious?" Yu Wan asked.

Yu Feng was stunned, nodded vaguely, and said, "I have something to do at home, I'll leave first."

"Brother, wait first." Yu Wan called him and quickly walked to the stove. After a moment, she put the largest wild crucian carp and a few fresh winter bamboo shoots in a basket and handed it to Yu Feng, "The fish were just caught, and the bamboo shoots were just dug, and they were all very fresh."

Yu Feng opened his mouth and wanted to refuse, but Yu Wan held the basket in his hand without saying a word.

He just lied that the cornmeal and millet were made good by his parents, but he was not grateful for the chicken she gave... They actually wanted to ask her, what she sold in the gourd?

"What did she say?"

After returning home, Yu Feng was surrounded by a family, and the one who asked about his younger brother Yu Song.

Without waiting for the elder brother to answer, Yu Song continued, "Does she want to borrow money from us?"

"Where did our family get the money?" The eldest aunt glared at her second son.

"She didn't say anything and wanted nothing." Yu Feng put the basket on the table, "and gave me these things back."

He also called my elder brother.

Looking at the winter bamboo shoots and big crucian carp in the basket, the Yu family gasped.

...

The story of Yu Wan's awakening gradually spread in the village. After that, people came to the door one after another, and it was hard to tell whether they were visiting her sincerely or watching the fun. Everyone who came to the door smelled the scent of her fish.

As the saying goes, winter crucian carp is the most plump season for crucian carp, and the taste of wild crucian carp is even more delicious.

Since there is no salt, the fish soup tastes original, but even so, it is still unremarkable.

Xiao Tiedan was holding a bowl of milky white fish soup and drank it so hard that sweat was coming out of her forehead.

Looking at Xiao Tiedan's feasting, Yu Wan felt as if she had discovered a new business opportunity.

"Tiedan, do we have embroidery needles in our family?" After lunch, Yu Wan asked her younger brother.

"Yes! Sister, I'll go find it!" Xiao Tiedan ran into Jiang's house, opened the cabinet door, and took out a sewing bag from a small bag.

Yu Wan picked two slender embroidery needles, roasted them with fire, and bent them to make a pair of fish hooks.

Afterwards, she went to the backyard to cut a bamboo plant and made two long fishing rods.

"Sister, what are you going to do?" Xiao Tiedan asked curiously.

"You'll know tonight."

Yu Wan carried two wooden barrels with a shoulder pole, took a pair of fishing rods, and went to the river where crucian carp had previously caught from the backyard.

Two hours later, Yu Wan came back, and the wooden barrel was filled with water, and there were also fish.

The little Tiedan squatted on the ground, plucked her hands, counting one by one: "...two, three, four, five, six..."

If you count to ten, he will not be able to come later.

When a fellow villagers came to the house at noon, Yu Wan exchanged some information with them with fish soup. For example, she knew that the village was called Lianhua Village, and also knew where the nearest market was, one big market every month, one small market every three days, and tomorrow is the day of the market. This means that there will be many vendors, but with it, more customers will buy things.

And she had already figured out how to sell it.

...

The market was ten miles away. In order to arrive at the market before dawn, Yu Wan got up before the fifth hour (about three in the morning). She thought she got up early enough, but after seeing the lights gradually lit up in the village, she realized that the villagers had done their best to go to the market this time.

It is not surprising to think about it. The end of the year is approaching, and the ones that should be sold must be sold quickly, and the ones that should be bought must be bought quickly. Once New Year's Eve comes, the market will be completely closed, and it will not be possible to recruit business again until the day when the dragon rises in February.

The uncle's house also lit up.

She watched Brother Yu go home yesterday and already knew where his home was.

"Sister, sister! Are you going to the market? I want to go too!"

This little guy who can always sleep until midnight actually smelled the smell of the market and woke up for the first time.

"Sister, sister, please take me there! I promise to be very obedient! I haven't been to the market for a long time!"

It seemed as if you had been to the market. Yu Wan was so amused and rubbed his little head: "Okay, I'll take you there."
