Chapter 52 The Truth

"Don't worry, I remember your affairs. I saw this thing very strange, so I looked at it with my spiritual sense. The two items were nothing special, but the buttons on the box were very special. Although it was made of black iron, the things wrapped inside were perfect relics."

Relics refer to the remains and bead-like gem-like creatures left after the death of the Buddhist ancestor Sakyamuni Buddha. It is said that 2,500 years ago, when Shakyamuni Nirvana was cremated, his disciples obtained a capsular bone, two bones, four teeth, a middle finger finger bone relics and 84,000 bead-like real relics from the ashes when they cremated his body. These relics of the Buddha were regarded as holy objects by believers and were scrambling to worship.

The relic is called Tudu in Indian, also called Shililu, which is translated into Chinese as spiritual bones, body bones, and body. It is the crystals left by a person's rebirth and cremation after being cremated. However, the relic is completely different from the bones of ordinary dead people. Its shapes are ever-changing, including round, oval, lotus, and Buddha or Bodhisattva; its colors are white, black, green, and red, and there are also various colors; some relics are like pearls, some like agate, crystal; some are transparent, and some are bright, just like diamonds.

The scriptures say that the relics are the result of a person's cultivation of precepts, concentration, wisdom, and his great vows. For example, after the Buddha's Nirvana, the relics burned were as many as one stone and six buckets. At that time, eight kings competed to divide the relics of the Buddha, and each of them received a relics. They brought the relics of the Buddha back to their country and built pagodas so that the people could admire and worship. In addition, monks and lay believers who have achieved success in their practice can also obtain relics after they passed away. For example, the Sixth Patriarch Huineng of China, the modern masters such as Hongyi, Yin Guang, Taixu, and Zhangjia, all left a considerable number of relics.

Relics are not obtained entirely through cremation.

The types of relics are generally divided into whole body relics and broken body relics. The whole body relics do not need to be cremated, and the whole body will not rot. This is called the whole body relics, also called the flesh-body Bodhisattva; the broken body relics are the remains after cremation, the white relics are skeletons, the black relics belong to the hair, the red relics are muscles, and there are also green or five-color relics. However, some relics are not transformed from the human body, such as running out of the sky, underground, or born from oil lamps, or born from flowers, and there are also ones that are sincerely worshipped and worshiped, and relics are born from the relics. In the "Sutra of Bathing Buddha's Merits", the relics are divided into: one, the birth body relics, also called the body bone relics, which are the remains of the Buddha; the other is the Dharma body relics, also called the Dharma chanting relics, which refer to the teachings and precepts left by the Buddha.

Some relics are extremely hard, and when they are hit by iron hammers, they are all stuck in the anvil without any damage. They are not only available for monks who eat vegetarian food all year round. They have only been converted for a year and practiced diligently. The rebirth of lay Buddhists also appeared on their remains after burning. And they didn't know what crazy Qiqi used the relics to be, but they only knew that she really needed them. The crazy child didn't want to go back to the house and sat cross-legged directly, and began to wrap the buttons with Buddha's power. As the two buttons increased, cracks appeared, and then they cracked and exposed the snow-white relics. When the moment they cracked, a ball of golden light scattered. When Qiqi saw it, she felt her body shaking and she immediately crossed her legs.
