Prologue: Summoning the Lamp God (Part 1)
Rumble!!! With a thunder explosion, a lightning bolt cut through the sky and reflected the silhouette of an ancient castle on the top of the mountain. The black and white look even more gloomy and weird.
The electricity in the castle was not yet on. In the huge study, only a little candlelight as big as a bean shines on a place in front of the desk. A thin man in a black robe was lying in the dim halo, constantly writing something on a piece of paper.
"No, no, there is something wrong with this word, so I have to modify it here! You should not use [Great existence], maybe [Sacred existence] is more appropriate," he quickly crossed out a few words he had just written with a pen, sometimes thinking hard, sometimes writing hard, and writing quickly. The thick parchment he scratched was already unrecognizable, and you can vaguely see intermittent words and some keywords that ordinary people cannot understand.
"Damn it, this spell could not be summoned successfully." He roughly crumpled the piece of paper full of handwriting into a ball and threw it on the ground. Such a ball of paper could be seen everywhere on the heavy carpet. I don't know how many times he modified it and overturned it.
The man suddenly lay on the chair behind him, and sighed heavily.
This sigh seemed to exhaust his strength. His hands were hanging weakly, and he suddenly lost the strength to hold the pen. This feeling of weakness and weakness was not a feeling, but a real one.
It was the power of the curse. Qin Gang clenched his fingers tightly. The tight grip gave him some sense of security, but it made him even more frightened. It seemed that I had less time! Qin Gang thought, his eyes fell on the cover of a book on the desk. It was a thick ancient book with a metal shell. On the cover, a huge purple pupil eye was staring at him like a living person.
Qin Gang's hand gently brushed across the cover of the book page, and moved gently with the relief gullies, gentle and delicate as if caressing the lover's face, but his face kept changing with a look, a little tenderness in an instant, and a little fear in an instant. After rubbing this for a while, he finally gritted his teeth and made up his mind to open the book.
Qin Gang's eyes kept sweeping across the pages, wandering between the summoning spells that had been tried. The pages kept flipping, and illustrations of creatures from other worlds kept flashing in front of him. Evil spirits, sirens, and demons had long turned a blind eye to these Qin Gang. What he wanted to find now were some clues that he had not noticed in the past.
"There must be something, there must be something." He murmured, trying to grab the last straw. However, it did not work. He had tried each of these spells in the book more than once.
"Damn it, what kind of spell is needed to summon the Lamp God?!" Qin Gang closed the book in a furious manner.
That's right, what Qin Gang wanted to summon was the legendary God of Lamp.
He had already sent a summon to every other world and tried every secret name of God. But what was the result? He summoned all kinds of strange things, and even accidentally summoned Samos, the evil god in Gosares' world during the last summoning ceremony.
Why? - Doesn't the Lamp God exist? He was thinking randomly in his mind, his chest became stuffy, he covered his mouth and coughed twice. He lowered his head and looked at the trembling hands, which were covered in black blood.
That was the pain left after being cursed by the evil god Samos. It was indeed one of the seven demon gods of Purgatory. Even the phoenix's tears could not completely lift the curse.
"No, it's impossible. The God of Lamps must exist. I must have missed some details. Yes, it must be like this." As if he was persuading himself, Qin Gang casually wiped his palm on the slightly worn black robe on his body, grabbed a piece of paper, and started writing and drawing again.
"Damn, I don't have much time!" Qin Gang muttered to himself, a trace of despair flashed in his heart, but he was determined by nature and immediately shook his head, "It doesn't matter, as long as you can successfully summon the Lamp God and make three wishes, the curse and injuries on your body can be easily solved. You must concentrate now!"
His mind fell back to the book of the alien world in front of him, and his mind was running at an unprecedented speed (if the God of Lamp is not within the nine known alien worlds, then it is obvious that it should be in other unknown dimensions that have not been recorded yet, that is, I probably have to use the random summoning spell.)
(That's right, that's it. This spell has never been used, just because everyone is afraid to use it, but what if the Lamp God happens to need to use this spell to summon?)
He wrote the first line of spell on paper—[Unknown existence from the unknown world.]
The brain is still running, and the description of the appearance of the Lamp God in each era is completely different, so it should be able to automatically change the appearance.
So the second sentence should be - [Indescribable, indescribable, unknown, mysterious god.]
He wrote the second line of the spell again.
(Yes, that's it!) The more Qin Gang thought about it, the more he felt it made sense. After ignoring the danger of random summoning spells, his thoughts gradually became clearer. He used his pen like a divine help. After a while, a new spell had been completed.
He read the content of the spell again. Although he didn't dare to say that he was sure to win, there was at least a glimmer of chance.
His eyes turned black, which was a sign that the curse was deepening. (Damn, those damn purifiers, if they hadn't suddenly rushed into the hall while they were performing their summoning ceremony, why would they be injured by the evil god in a hurry?! Sooner or later, I will let you be wiped out. As long as I summon the God of Lamp and make those three wishes, none of you will be able to escape.)
While thinking hatefully, Qin Gang stuffed the spell he had just written into his inner pocket of the black robe, grabbed the book under his ribs with one hand, staggered out of the study room, walked through the long corridor, pushed open the gate of the castle, and walked into the wind and rain outside the door.
The wind and rain in the early spring were extremely cold, and the raindrops were filled with ice particles, which blew on the face like a knife. The howling cold wind instantly made Qin Gang feel cold.
However, the cold could not suppress Qin Gang's inner fanatic flame. The new spell brought him new hope. He walked towards the front of the courtyard. In the darkness, a low building was entrenched there like a crawling beast. A flash of lightning flashed by, illuminating the appearance of the building and a dark gate.
Pushing open the door hard, Qin Gang walked in, locking the door behind him, blocking the cold and the sound of wind and rain behind him.
He walked down the steps and gradually walked into the hall of this gloomy basement.
In the corner of the empty hall, several men and women in black robes were talking in a low voice. When they saw him walking in, they stood up immediately, looking a little flustered and uneasy.
"Master! You are here." A tall female monk bent down respectfully and said.
Qin Gang sighed and looked at the thin people in front of him. There was no way. These were already his last believers. The powerful generals, under the pursuit of the purifier, died and fled in the wrath of the evil god. Now these strengths are of course not the best, and even their bodies are somewhat injured. But it doesn't matter. As long as you can summon the Lamp God and make those three wishes, everything can be successfully regained, and you can even let those subordinates resurrect. Of course, those wastes are not worth wasting a place to wish, and you may wish to have the ability to resurrect yourself.
Qin Gang couldn't help but start fantasizing about what happened after successfully summoning the Lamp God in his mind, until a suffocating pain in his chest pulled him back into reality.
"I have prepared a new spell, and I will definitely succeed this time." He raised the parchment in his hand confidently.
However, when he heard Qin Gang's words, a trace of fear flashed unconsciously on the faces of those subordinates. He looked at each other, and no one showed any expectation.
"Hmph, I'll be scared of anything." Qin Gang snorted coldly in his heart, ignoring their uneasiness. Instead, he directly handed the paper full of words to the female disciple who was talking just now. Several people immediately gathered around. After seeing the words on the paper clearly, they immediately showed a shocked expression.
"Master - Master, is this a random summoning spell?" a thin yellow-haired man asked, stuttering, with an incredible look on his face.
"That's right - it's just a random summoning spell! What, is there any problem?" He glanced at his subordinates coldly. Of course, he knew the risks of random summoning spell. However, at this point, he had no choice but to remain tough and use his usual prestige to suppress other ideas of his subordinates.
The yellow-haired man hesitated for a moment, opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but in the end he didn't dare to say it. After all, Qin Gang has always been a god-like existence to them. If it weren't for the current difficult situation, they wouldn't even have the qualification to be by their side on weekdays.
Qin Guang's eyes swept coldly across the faces of several people, and someone immediately lowered his head under pressure, and he dared not object or doubt.
"Do work!" Qin Gang said sternly, and the few people immediately ran to the venue for the summoning ceremony as if they were amnesty.
The summoning array had been engraved on the ground, so they just had to clean up the debris and stand according to their positions. The four people surrounded the summoning array and were ready to start a new round of summoning ritual at any time.
Qin Gang walked to the main position of the magic circle, still holding the book of another world in his hand, and began to mutter something in his mouth.
The other people secretly glanced at Qin Gang's every move, and did not dare to speak privately. They had already conducted this ritual many times in the past, but at that time, more than a dozen people usually performed the ritual together to share the powerful spiritual power needed to activate the summoning array. However, there were only four people at this time, so when the spirit-enlightening spell that activated the summoning array began to be recited, the four people immediately felt a huge pressure.
It seemed as if an invisible force was drawing vitality from them, and the brain stinged violently, but no one dared to make any changes. He could only grit his teeth and persevere, chanting the mantra in a low tone.
In the dim fire, the low chanting sounds kept echoing in the basement, just like the sound of the Sanskrit makes people slowly calm down.
Finally, as the spell was recited repeatedly more than ten times, the summoning array on the ground emitted a faint white light, which had been activated.
Although this action has been repeated dozens of times, Qin Gang still felt an inexplicable excitement when he saw the magic circle lit up. Although his body was so weak, the hope in his heart made him full of strength at this moment. Perhaps this will be his last chance, and he must succeed.
He trembled and spread the paper with spells in his hand on the metal cover of the Book of Another World. Looking at the handwriting on it, a trace of inexplicable fear suddenly arose in his heart. What if he fails? What if—
