Chapter four hundred and eighty third two heroes

The problem of the Detroit Pistons lacking low-post attackers was originally covered up in history until 1991, but in this time and space, they encountered the Portland Trail Blazers and the team with the strongest low-post offensive ability in the league.

In 1988, facing the Los Angeles Lakers, the Lakers' offensive ability was strong enough. Jabbar, who had not yet completely grown old, and James Worthy in excellent form, but at that time they had Dantley. Dantley was the Pistons' scoring champion in that finals, and he could break out to score 30 points in a single game. His shooting percentage in the series was as high as 57%, which was the most important and most stable output point for the Pistons.

The Trail Blazers' low-post strength is even more terrifying. Gan Guoyang has become the NBA's number one inside low-post attacker since 1987, and reached its peak in 1988. However, this year, due to the change in playing style, his percentage of attacks at low-posts has decreased. But when he needs it, he is still the giant beast that can devour everything in the low-post.

In the second quarter, Gan Guoyang continued to stay on the court, while Chuck Daly sent John Sally and put Bill Ranbill off the court. This was a very risky behavior. In the entire league, Ranbill was one of the few low-post defenders that could make Gan Guoyang uncomfortable. Sally harassed Gan Guoyang with Dennis Rodman in the second and third games, but achieved good results. Daly wanted to continue to try the effect of this defensive combination on Gan Guoyang.

John Sally was a rookie in 1986, from Georgia Tech, a No. 11 pick and the Pistons' last high-end show, because since the 1987 playoffs, the Pistons have never fallen out of the Eastern Conference Finals again.

Sally has a characteristic that is exactly the same as Gan Guoyang, which is that his arms are long. After Sally came to the Pistons, this happy and lively young man was calm and composed inside the Pistons, and his experienced style was a bit out of place. During training, he also played a fight with the team's locker room boss Bill Lan Bill. However, fighting inside the Pistons means that he has truly entered the group. Two seasons of training and experience in the finals have allowed the 6-foot-11-inch Spider-Man to grow into an important player on the Pistons bench and a defensive player.

Unlike the rough and rude defense of "beef man" Rick Mahon, Sally takes a large-scale coverage and precise interference route, which is exactly the same as Gan Guoyang. The defense is very active, the control of the ball holder is very tight, and the interference is also quite large when shooting the opponent. At the same time, like his personality, he is also a very active and willing player, and is deeply loved by his teammates and coaches.

In the key battle tonight, he shouldered the heavy responsibility of resisting the explosive pack to block the most fierce firepower point of the Trail Blazers. Of course, Daly was worried and sent Rodman to help. Both guys were both hands and feet, and it seemed that they wanted to make a cage to frame Gan Guoyang.

However, Gan Guoyang quickly proved that John Saliga Rodman could not defend him at all.

At the beginning of the second quarter, Drexler and Porter both left the court to rest. Paxson and Danny Young were partners in the backcourt. Adelman's meaning was very clear. The backcourt organization and defense are all fine. Don't worry about the offense. Danny Yang passed the ball as soon as he passed the half. Gan Guoyang received the ball from behind in a relatively shallow position. Now when the Pistons are playing, Gan Guoyang dares to catch the ball at a too deep position because the Pistons' double-teaming is too sharp and timely.

After Gan Guoyang received the ball, he knew that Rodman was going to make a pass, so he turned to the basket with a Sigma step, and before Rodman made a pass, he directly pulled his arm and jumped up.

Sally's arms were indeed long enough, and his reaction was very fast to the ball, almost blocked to the ball, but the ball was still hollow into the net. Gan Guoyang was at this position, 45 degrees, 15 feet away from the basket. I don't know how many times he practiced Sigma steps and jumped directly. It doesn't matter whether anyone defended him.

After scoring the goal, Gan Guoyang pointed at Rodman, as if telling him not to run around.

The Pistons also have an offensive core, that is Isia Thomas. As the number one star of the Pistons, Thomas's light on the Pistons is not as dazzling as Gan Guoyang in the Trail Blazers, because the Pistons is essentially a team team, and the team's locker room is not entirely led by Thomas. Bill Lambie is the real person. On the court, Joe Dumas assumes the same responsibilities as Thomas. If there is any difference, it is that Thomas is the only scoring explosion point for the Pistons.

Without Danteley, the Pistons had the only ability to take over the game on the offensive end.

Thomas implemented Riley's intentions, insisted on changing offense and defense, reduced positional offense, and prevented the Blazers from fighting positions. They lacked low-post offensive points, so the Pistons served quickly, and Thomas directly held the ball, suddenly accelerated a direction and passed Danny Young, and then broke through the basket.

At the basket, Gan Guoyang and Buck Williams were both waiting for Thomas. Thomas was fearless and took off without slowing down. He made a layup directly when facing Gan Guoyang.

Gan Guoyang stretched out his arms and straightened his whole body to prevent being blown from invading the cylinder, blocking Thomas' shooting space as much as possible. However, Thomas did not make a layup directly, but instead a trolley in the air. The ball passed between Buck Williams and Gan Guoyang, and then picked the basket with a low hand. The ball turned around the basket and fell into the net.

A very exciting goal, Gan Guoyang and Buck Williams have both defended very well, but they still failed to organize Thomas to score in such a clever way.

Correspondingly, Thomas also pointed at Buck Williams, as if he was telling him that he should not run around to make up for defense without any trouble. It would be useless.

The number one star on both sides began to regard the opponent's defense as nothing.

Dennis Rodman soon discovered that his enthusiasm was not effective. Rodman is actually a very smart player. On the defensive end, he is not a powerful single-defense player. It is difficult for him to lock the opponent's attack point alone. However, he is very smart. He knows how to use a reasonable position and a thief to attack. He suddenly steals one, suddenly creates an offensive foul, suddenly makes the opponent make a mistake, and suddenly makes the opponent furious, but he is strolling in the garden.

In the Eastern Conference finals, Rodman played with Scott Pippen. Every time he made Pippen look dirty, Rodman would raise his head and look contemptuous, and then run back to the other half with his signature high-legged running method.

But this time, Gan Guoyang is smarter than him. Just like Larry Bird back then, Gan Guoyang is very good at observing. For Gan Guoyang, a John Sally is not worth his energy to deal with. Sally is a bit of a long arm and a large area, which is very similar to Gan Guoyang. The disadvantage is that he does not have enough strength. This is not like Gan Guoyang. Gan Guoyang can push Sally away with half a butt, then catch the ball, and then pinch the ball to observe the opponent's defense. Gan Guoyang pays most attention to Rodman. Rodman's little moves are under Gan Guoyang's observation.

Gan Guoyang has a short position, and he wants to double-team. Gan Guoyang immediately turned around and attacked in another direction. He wanted to stand on the offensive line to commit a foul, so Gan Guoyang directly chose to shoot, not giving Rodman a chance to commit a foul. Moreover, Gan Guoyang is now taking the ball very quickly and is very timely in response. He is a center forward with excellent mistakes, so Rodman was simply mediocre in the second quarter and was fooled by Gan Guoyang.

Rodman is a very emotional player. If he plays well, he will get better and better. If he plays poorly, he will get frustrated and his emotions will be affected, he will start to lose, and even lose his temper. Chuck Daly also knows this characteristic of Rodman. Seeing that Rodman's expression becomes worse and worse, he finally maliciously pulled Gan Guoyang down in an attack by Gan Guoyang. Daly immediately replaced Rodman with the opportunity to calm down on the bench.

Gan Guoyang stood on the free throw line. After making both free throws, the Trail Blazers still maintained the lead, but their leading score was only three points. The reason is very simple. Sally and Rodman could not defend Gan Guoyang, and Danny Yang and Paxson could not defend Thomas.

Thomas obviously entered the state in the second quarter, and the attack felt very good. He won like an attacking defender and entered the three-point line in the halftime, which means he entered his attack range. He can stop and jump shots at any time and anywhere to end the attack. His breakthrough speed is too fast. Danny Yang and Paxson can't keep up with his speed at all. Gan Guoyang cannot make up for defense with all his strength in every goal, as that will be very expensive.
