Chapter 600 The cause of abdominal pain lies in the heart(2/2)

Professor Tong sighed: "Xiao Chen, you handle the patients in your hospital."

He understood that meeting a patient with a myocardial infarction was a dead end, as the patient was already in serious danger.

Chen Qi immediately shouted to the doctors and nurses in the emergency department:

"Immediately perform thrombolytic treatment, and at the same time perform coronary angiography immediately. If the situation permits, immediately perform interventional surgery. As well as several of your colleagues, please notify Cui Tongzhi's family immediately."

Several employees at the post office have been fooled:

"Oh, okay, notify the family members, yes, inform the family members, but where are the family members?..."

At this time, Yi Zewen coughed a few times and reminded in a low voice: "Dean Chen, our hospital has not yet carried out coronary angiography examinations."

Chen Qi slapped his forehead, thinking that he was only focusing on endoscopic surgery and didn't care about the specific surgeries being performed in other departments.

In fact, we can't blame him. Chen Qi has only been the dean for a long time, and there are so many departments in the whole hospital that even a dean with only three heads and six arms can't handle it all.

“There was no coronary angiography…no interventional surgery was performed…”

Chen Qi was stunned for a moment. As a reborn doctor, he understood the criticality of myocardial infarction very well. He also knew that coronary angiography is the gold standard for diagnosing heart disease and that intervention is the key to life and death in patients with myocardial infarction.

Thrombolytic treatment alone is not safe, especially the thrombolytic drugs produced in the 1980s were very ineffective.

This is why everyone’s expression changes when they hear about myocardial infarction, and even the doctors at Xijing Hospital are helpless.

Coronary angiography is not a new thing. As early as 1958, a foreign hospital completed the first angiography.

It is the gold standard for diagnosing coronary heart disease and macrovascular disease.

Coronary angiography can detect whether there is stenosis in the coronary arteries, as well as which blood vessels are stenotic and to what extent. Based on the results of coronary angiography, it can be evaluated whether to perform stent implantation or coronary artery bypass surgery on the stenotic blood vessels.

If coronary angiography shows coronary artery stenosis and the stenosis of a single diseased vessel is more than 75%, it is recommended to insert a stent.

If coronary angiography shows disease in two or more blood vessels and the degree of stenosis exceeds 75%, coronary artery bypass surgery is recommended.

Therefore, this examination is very important and is also the key to the success of subsequent rescue.

The so-called interventional treatment initially used percutaneous coronary angioplasty (ptca), which was invented by a Swiss doctor in 1977.

The surgical method involves injecting a balloon catheter through the peripheral artery to the vascular lesion, dilating the balloon to relieve vascular stenosis and restore coronary blood flow, and then remove the balloon.

However, in subsequent clinical applications, it was observed that PTCA had serious problems, including restenosis, acute vascular occlusion, etc.

As a result, medical researchers from all over the world had to make improvements. The most direct idea is to put up a shelf as a support at the narrowed blood vessel, and the stent was born, thus significantly reducing the restenosis rate of ptca.

In 1986, French doctors performed the first coronary stent implantation.

The problem is that it is only 1989, and new surgical procedures have just been invented and launched overseas, so it is impossible for them to be spread to China all at once.

These days, China is just half a step behind developed countries, and there is nothing we can do about it.

But Chen Qi knows how to perform angiography and interventional procedures that others cannot do.

This thing has become common in almost all hospitals in later generations, not to mention third-level and second-level hospitals, even the more powerful first-level hospitals, that is, Central Town Health Center can do it.

But at the Yuezhong Hospital in 1989, interventional treatment was not that simple. One question was whether the equipment was allowed?

This requires a special set of tools, a professional medical angiography X-ray machine, and a special catheter guide wire stent.
