1.488 Thirsk, a revised history

"'The Snow Prince flew past the clansmen, like a long boat riding the wind and waves in the icy waters of Lake Fjälding.'"

Sitting on the stone under the altar of Genales and opening the book with the body temperature of the huntress, Wu Chen couldn't help but think of the legend about the Snow Prince. But this was not the focus of the Lord's attention. So he continued to read:

"On the eastern shore of Lake Fjälding stands Thirsk, a magnificent mead hall and home to the most heroic tribe of Nord warriors. Long ago, a small group of Skahl decided to leave the closed main village.

Freed from the shackles of their compatriots who strictly adhered to the worship of the Creator, they tried to live the life of their ancestors in Skyrim - killing the prey they wanted as they pleased and worshiping the gods in any way they chose. This group of people braved the wind and snow to head towards

Heading south to the shores of Lake Fjälding, they found the ideal new settlement there. They unanimously decided to build a magnificent mead hall by the lake as their warm new home and spacious hunting lodge. After months of construction,

This group of companions finally completed the task and named the mead hall: Thirsk. All the hard-working settlers were sincerely proud of their achievements. But their happiness was so short-lived, because not everyone

All welcome the building of Thirsk.

As the mead hall is built, noise and commotion disturb an ancient creature dormant beneath the ice. When the last beam of the hall is nailed in place, the sleeping beast finally awakens, in a tragic twist of irony. He

It was the legendary troll 'Udyrfrykte', the god of death who was awakened and angered by the settlers. Udyrfrykte came to the newly built mead hall and paid tribute to those who had destroyed his long and cold life.

The hibernating settlers carried out brutal revenge. He killed without warning and without mercy, directly cutting the number of Thesk Nords in half. It was the heroic mage Eldrid Icelight.

Ice-Light) finally drove the beast back to its lair under the frozen lake and sealed the entrance with a magic ice wall. The horrific war was over, but the cost was huge. The settlers spent two months

Time to repair the damage Udfricht had wrought, until Thirsk stood tall again.

Although the settlers worked together to build the Mead Hall and drive away the threat posed by Udyr Freakt, tensions quickly grew over who would serve as their leader. Most Nord warriors believed that Hrothmund

·Hrothmund the Red is their de facto chief because he is the strongest and most capable of the group. Drengr Bronze-Helm, a strong warrior, is not

Agreed. He believed that he was the only one best able to rule Thirsk and raise his voice against the red Hrothmund. Knowing that conflict and infighting would only destroy the new life they had worked so hard to create, Hrothmund

De Red immediately swung his ax and chopped off the head of Drenger Bronzehelm. The Nords admired the power of warriors most in battle, and the duel that killed Drenger proved to them that Hrosmund was indeed the most worthy of the throne.

Chieftain of Sk. In order that his companions would never forget the leadership he had wrested with his great axe, Hrosmund placed Drengl's head on a pedestal in the center of Thirsk's hall for all to see.

arrive.

And so began Thirsk's oldest tradition. Any warrior, regardless of race or gender, could claim themselves as a member of the Mead Hall by displaying their most impressive battle trophy (trophy) on a pedestal in the hall.

Leader. As long as the soul of Red Hrothmund agrees, that warrior will be appointed chieftain.

The Bane of Horosmund: For twenty-one years, Horosmund the Red ruled over Thirsk and its inhabitants as chieftain. With his soft voice and his massive axe, which the Nords were said to have once wielded, Horosmund the Red

The greatest weapon ever wielded, brought peace and prosperity to Thirsk. But peace proved to be devastating for Hrothmund, as the powerful Nords slowly grew torn in the warmth and safety of the mead halls.

They are restless. They are eager for battle and adventure, eager to feel the ice in their veins again, and can no longer forget the call of heroism with a hangover. When the news of a huge and bloodthirsty white wolf terrorizing travelers in Moise Ridge spreads

When it opened, Hrosmund immediately picked up his giant ax and went to hunt the beast alone. The mountain people named the white wolf 'Ondjage', which means the fallen wolf. The beast was as big as an ox.

His fur was as white as freshly fallen snow, and he said that no living man could defeat Unjac. A later battle proved that the mountain man's words were correct. Hrosmund cut off a leg from the wild wolf, and Unjac

But he devoured the powerful Nords alive, leaving only his great ax as a cruel proof of mankind's failure against the beasts. When the news came, the warriors of Thirsk marched towards the mountains filled with grief and anger, looking for "Hrothmon" whom they called

The fallen wolf "Hrothmund's Bane". In the end, they worked together to kill Onjage and enjoyed its roast as a family around the warm fire pit of Thirsk Hall.

The following is a list of Thirsk's chieftains since the first reign of Hrothmund:

There is an undocumented history here. At some point, the legendary troll Udfrikt was dealt with once and for all, but there are no records of Thirsk's leaders of this time. Apparently, there were others before records were restored.

Several chiefs have come and gone. Thirsk's devotion to oral tradition means these names may forever be lost to history.

Expansion: Thirsk Mead Hall today is almost the same as it was more than a hundred years ago, which is a testament to its architectural quality. Although Thirsk itself did not expand, its residents continued to grow, and soon after, the magnificent Mead Hall

The hall could not accommodate all the people who wished to live in it. Therefore, over the years, many Nords left Thirsk and relied on the island's numerous caves and natural refuges to establish their own private camps in the wilderness of Thorseheim.

.But those who leave always enjoy returning to Thirsk to enjoy the hospitality of the Mead Hall. It is also important to note that although over a hundred years have passed since the group first left the village of Skarr, Skarr and

The Nords in Thirsk have always maintained communication with each other, and sometimes even exchange resources.

Relationship with Raven's Rock: The Nords of Thirsk's relationship with Raven's Rock is the same as they once were with the Empire, when the aloof relationship was known on the isle of Solstheim: deliberately uninterested and devoid of complexity. If they

Both sides would be happy to be reasonably certain that the other side 'didn't exist' (meaning either Thirsk or Crow Rock wiped it out of existence). This is not to say that there is any reason for hostility on either side; on the contrary, these two distinct

There is no reason for the cultures to intersect (meaning that the two sides have no intersection at all, so there will be no disputes, let alone hostility).

Law and Order in Thirsk: Within the Thirsk Mead Hall, the Chief serves as judge, jury and executioner when necessary. The reality is that Thirsk has always been a fairly peaceful place, where friendship and goodwill are the norm (

Ask about the trophies on display?). The Nords of Thirsk have long realized that Solstheim is a harsh home, and fighting with each other is not like fighting with the bears, wolves, wights, and snow goblins on the island.

That would be fruitful, not to mention any other fallen creature that might roam the land. Still, disagreements do occasionally arise between Thirsk warriors, which often end in bloodshed. Every few years, a challenge arises.

The chieftain, engaged in a bloody duel (Blood Duel), trying to gain the right to rule Thirsk and become the new chieftain.

But by and large, the Nords of Thirsk are one big, happy family of barbarians. And, like any family, they have their squabbles.

Age of Ashes: Since the eruption of the Red Mountains, the desolate southern part of Thorseheim has been overrun by the Dark Elves. However, Thirsk sits directly above the Desolation and has happily escaped the ravages of the volcanic ash that covered much of the land. Since then

In later years, Thirsk took its role as a 'haven' more seriously. They focused on hospitality and welcomed outsiders, whether they sought respite from the ashes of the south or the cold of the north." —
