Chapter 8 Ambush the Messenger

All ten Jianlu cavalry entered the straight path. After a little analysis, Guo Dajing made a judgment and aimed at the Jianlu in the middle.

The distance was only about twenty meters, and the horse's speed was not particularly fast. Guo Dajing was quite sure of his cold arrow sniper attack.

Estimating Jianlu's speed, Guo Dajing calmly pulled the trigger toward the target.

The arrow shot out from the bushes on the roadside and arrived in an instant, piercing Jianlu's left rib. Amid the screams, Jianlu staggered on his horse and fell to the side.

"Enemy attack!" Thorodai reacted quickly, shouted loudly, drew out his scimitar, and waved it to protect himself.

Bang! The sound of the crossbow string was slight, and only Guo Dajing could hear it clearly.

Another crossbow arrow came with lightning and hit Jianlu in the chest. With such force, he rolled over and fell off his horse.

After firing two arrows in a row, the last Jianlu was already galloping towards him. He was perpendicular to Guo Dajing and the distance was the shortest.

Guo Dajing fired another arrow. Amidst the neighing of the war horse, the crossbow arrow hit the horse's neck. The fallen war horse threw the well-guarded Jianlu away.

There was another horse neighing, and the two tripping ropes that were suddenly pulled up tripped the two horses running at the front. Jianlu fell to the ground in embarrassment, rolled a few times, and then got up with his head covered and his head swollen.

Bows and arrows were shot from the woods, people screamed and roared, and war horses neighed and roared, immediately filling the road that was only thirty or forty meters long.

Collapse! Guo Dajing shot an arrow, killing Jianlu who fell off his horse. Pulling the string and loading the arrow, he jumped out of his hiding position and trotted forward at the edge of the woods to support his teammates who were fighting.

There are still six Jianlu alive. In the attack just now, Zhou Qing, Liu Qishi and others used bows and arrows to kill some of them and wounded two of them.

The Jianlu soldiers all jumped off their horses, or used their horses as cover, or ran into the woods beside the road to find and fight back the attackers.

Liu Qishi fired arrows one after another, and his shooting skills were indeed very good. However, Jianlu's armor was excellent and it was difficult to kill him unless he hit the weakly defended vital parts.

Several arrows flew over, and Jianlu discovered Liu Qishi and his companions, and fired back with a series of arrows, which were also shot quickly and accurately.

Liu Qishi hid behind a tree and ran away. However, his companion screamed in pain, covered his shoulders and fell in the snow.

The screams sounded again. Guo Dajing jumped forward while running, lay down in the snow, took aim and shot, and killed another prisoner.

The hunting crossbow has great power and high accuracy. It ignores Jianlu's armor and is very sharp in breaking through defenses.

After cocking the arrow and pulling the string, Guo Dajing quickly found the target again. It was Jianlu who was hiding behind the horse and was shooting back into the woods with his bow and arrow.

The crossbow arrow came with lightning and pierced the Jianlu's head. He leaned back, loosened his hand, and the arrow that had been drawn and aimed flew into the air.

Guo Dajing did not move his position immediately, but raised the arrow and pulled the string, and quickly observed the situation in the woods beside the road with a scope with night vision function.

The two figures running fast, wielding knives and guns, were undoubtedly Jianlu. The other two injured were surrounded by Zhou Qing and others near the tripping rope. The sound of swords and guns kept ringing, and the fierce battle was still going on.

The distance was not too far, Guo Dajing chased Jianlu's figure, and during the brief moment when he paused to observe, he pulled the trigger.

In the scope, the target's figure shook and slowly fell to his knees, apparently suffering heavy injuries.

Guo Dajing put away his crossbow, took out his slingshot, and faced the other figure.

Soluodai nimbly dodged behind the tree, an arrow passed by, and he immediately jumped out from the other side and pounced towards Liu Qishi.

Liu Qishi threw away his bow and arrow, drew out his sword, and got into a fighting stance.

A howl, a roar, the weapons of the two people collided, making a clanging sound, followed by a grinding sound that made people feel sour.

With their eyes glaring angrily, the two of them spurted thick white air from their mouths. They struggled to turn half a circle, pushed hard almost at the same time, and pulled away again.

The two men slashed at their opponents with their knives. There was a constant sound of bang, bang, bang, and a few sparks shot out in the air.

Suo Luodai was stronger, and even though Liu Qishi took small steps back, he was still able to withstand it. A situation of more fighting with fewer had been formed. As long as he held on, his comrades would come to support him.

However, things changed unexpectedly. The arrival of a staggering figure broke the balance of the battle.

Jianlu, who was shot by Guo Dajing from a distance, was not killed. He was hit by an arrow in the left rib and his internal organs were injured. He was certain to die, but he could still breathe a few breaths and live for a while longer.

This guy was breathing heavily, holding a spear, and moved over step by step. He pressed his hand on the wound, half of the arrow clusters were exposed between his fingers, and blood was flowing down, but his face was ferocious and his teeth were gritted.

Liu Qishi was originally at a disadvantage, but the arrival of the injured prisoner affected him even if he could not attack immediately.

As soon as his attention was distracted, Liu Qishi became even more frustrated. He didn't notice Suoluodai's feint. He used too much force to parry, and then struck with his sword, and actually knocked his sword away from his hand.

Liu Qishi hurriedly backed away, tripping and falling to the ground.

Soluodai howled and drew an arc in the air with his scimitar, intending to kill Liu Qishi with one blow.

Before the howl ended, it was replaced by screams. Liu Qishi stretched out his left arm in vain to block the knife, and closed his eyes helplessly. He noticed something strange, and opened it again to look.

Thorodai screamed, covered his face with his left hand, staggered back, blood flowed from between his fingers, and he was hit hard by something unknown.

A figure ran and jumped, and quickly rushed to Sorodai from a distance of more than 20 meters. His hand flashed with cold light and he slashed at him with a knife.

The bridge of Sorodai's nose was shattered by the steel ball, and his face was covered with blood, snot, and tears. He vaguely saw a figure approaching, and could only use his machete to protect himself in vain.

Click! The dog-legged knife broke through Sorodai's protection without any hindrance and cut off his right arm at the elbow.

Thorodai let out a shrill scream, took two steps back, and fell to the snow rolling in pain with a broken arm that was bleeding.

Without even looking at it, Guo Dajing turned around and rushed towards the Jianlu who was still holding the gun.

The Jianlu shouted, holding on to his spear with all his strength, and stabbed at Guo Dajing.

The spear was weak, so Guo Dajing swung the knife vigorously and blocked the spear aside. He stepped forward and stabbed Jianlu's neck with his knife. He turned his wrist and raised his foot, knocking Jianlu down in a splatter of flesh and blood.

.

Turning to look at Liu Qishi, Guo Dajing ran as fast as flying, jumping and running out of the woods, sliding down the snow slope, and rushed to the road.

Liu Qishi immediately understood what Guo Dajing meant and responded loudly: "Leave this place to me."

Standing up, holding the knife, Liu Qishi looked around, only Jianlu was left lying on the snow, his screams getting weaker and weaker.
