Chapter thirty-six: fighting calligraphy and painting

Kong Jing first took out his running script, and Chen Ao went over to read it in awe of amazing sounds. This running script was slightly better than the calligraphy mounted on the wall, but the stiffness was still obvious. The pilgrims' calligraphy level was not high, so they naturally applauded when they saw this running script. However, in Shen Ao's opinion, the temperature was far different.

Kong Jing saw everyone applauding, and a hint of joy flashed across his face, and hurriedly said, "My work is unbearable to the eyes, what do you think the donor think?"

Chen Ao smiled and said, "The foundation is good and the layout is unique. Unfortunately, the words are average. Cursive script emphasizes spirituality, but the words are more rigid and have lost their round spiritual charm. What a pity." After that, he shook his head and sentenced Kong Jing's running script to death like a judge.

No matter how well Kong Jing was in cultivation, she felt uncomfortable. Her thin face pulled down and she pronounced the Buddha's name to suppress the anger in her heart.

The pilgrims were worried about Kong Jing and started to clamor, saying, "Where did you come from? How dare you say that Master Kong Jing's handwriting is not good? It's so arrogant."

Xiaoxiaomi Xiaohu also spoke with her and said, "My master's running script is the best."

Chen Ao ignored these pilgrims and walked to Kongding's table to look at Kongding's paintings. Kongding sneered, "You must say that my paintings are not good, right?"

Kong Ding paints a piece of pillars. The bamboo branches rendered by ink are strong and fresh and full of vitality. The joints of the bamboo are even more vivid with heavy ink. At first glance, this painting is quite excellent, but in Shen Ao's eyes, there are still many fatal flaws.

He smiled and said, "The bamboo painted by Master Kong Ding is very unique. It's a pity that you want to learn Wen Tong's brushwork, but you are not at home. Wen Tong's ink bamboo has a chic look and is beautiful. Master Kong Ding thinks his paintings are comparable to Wen Tong?"

Wen Tong was also a famous official in the Northern Song Dynasty and was known for his good painting of bamboo. He painted bamboo leaves and created thick ink as the face and light ink as the back, forming the ink bamboo school, which was known as the "Master of Ink Bamboo". The bamboo painted by Kong Ding imitated Wen Tong's ink bamboo, but unfortunately he was not good at his skills. Not only did he not improve himself, he went astray.

Kong Ding was furious: "I can't compare to Wen Tong, can't compare to you, kid? Come and see your painting."

The pilgrims also criticized Chen Ao, saying that Chen Ao was too unreasonable and extremely violent. Chen Ao asked everyone to look at his desk. Kong Ding and Kong Jing arrived at the desk, but they were stunned.

Chen Ao painted a picture of the monk Budai lying high. In this picture, there is only one monk lying on the side of the rocks. The background is mainly plain and plain. Only the monk Budai smiles happily, free and natural, and is one with the scenery behind him, calm and tranquil and inaction.

Especially the monk's eyes seemed to have seen the truth of the universe, understood the great way of the world, and was full of wisdom, making the whole character more vivid.

"Good painting!" Kong Ding was immediately energetic and couldn't help but shout loudly, his eyes kept looking at the monk in the painting, immersing himself in it.

In the lower right corner of the painting, a line of poems attracted Kong Jing's attention. Kong Jing slowly muttered: "Plant green rice seedlings all over the field, lower your head and see the sky in the water; the pure heart is the way, and retreating turns out to be moving forward. Good poems, good words..."

This poem is about the monk Budai and the farmer planting rice seedlings together. He felt something and realized the universal truth from the farmers' behavior of planting rice seedlings. "Planting green rice seedlings all over the field" means that when a farmer planting rice seedlings, he holds a handful of seedlings in one hand and inserts a few seedlings into the mud in the field with his fingers in the other hand.

"If you look down, you will see the sky in the water" means that the farmer who planted rice lowered his head and saw the sky reflected in the paddy fields.

"Only when the mind is pure is the way" is when the body and mind are not intoxicated by secular fame and fortune, they can be connected with the way that transcends the world.

"Regression turns out to be forward" means that the farmer plantes rice seedlings, and they are planting and retreating. It is precisely because he retreats that he can continue to plant rice. Therefore, the farmer's regression when planting rice seedlings is the work that is moving forward.

This poem is not a masterpiece, but its reason is thought-provoking. It tells others: from a low place you can see the high place, from a near place you can see the distance, and retreat can be regarded as advance. On the way of life, you cannot always raise your head and chest; sometimes you must lower your head, or reflect on the experience and lessons of the journey, or look at the road under your feet, or pass under the low eaves, you must bow your head. On the road of life, you cannot always move forward bravely; sometimes you must stagnate, observe the future, or accumulate strength; sometimes you must temporarily retreat, or retreat to advance, or retreat to jump back to a better leap. When dealing with people, don’t always be competitive; sometimes you must make concessions, sometimes you must be patient, and sometimes you must surrender.

The sentence of retreating is the finishing touch, which is rich in Buddhist thoughts and is also the most clear statement of life. Shen Ao wrote this poem because he was afraid of being beaten by monks. The monks could be very skilled in martial arts, and maybe they were narrow-minded. Wow, if they beat them, they would be angry and would not be angry but would not be able to move their fists. Therefore, this poem was written to let these two monks know that they had to bow their heads through the low eaves, and not be dissatisfied, nor do they use violence.

This is the monk's nest. This poem just met the scene. I took out the cloth monk's ancestor, the monk's ancestor, and it was a bit of a flattery for the monks.

For Kong Jing, poetry is a good poem, but the characters are even better. This character still uses Dong Qichang's technique. The ink color is clear and elegant, and it is elegant. Although Dong Qichang's character is not very good, his calligraphy is integrated into the strengths of each school, and it is extraordinary.

Kong Ding stared at the paintings, Kong Jing was stunned. They were unheard of such good words and paintings. Their techniques and layouts were unprecedented. If they had not seen them with their own eyes, who would have thought that it was made by a young man.

Shi Xiaohu couldn't understand it, and saw that his master and uncle were speechless, he stood up and said, "My master's handwriting is better than the donor's, and my master's paintings are better than the donor's."

Shen Ao smiled and said, "Would you like to ask your master and uncle?"

Some of the pilgrims saw the tricks, but they were all trapped in the calligraphy and paintings. Those who couldn't see the tricks clearly saw the expressions of the two monks, and they also guessed some clues.

After a long time, Kong Jing's eyes reluctantly left the running script, and sighed: "The old monk has lived so much, but he is just showing off his skills. He is ashamed."

Kong Ding said ashamedly: "This painting is truly unprecedented, with Gu Kaizhi's lightness and Zhan Ziqian's charm. I was convinced and admitted to Mr. Shen. I just didn't know who Mr. Shen was taught? Where did I learn painting."

Gu Kaizhi and Zhan Ziqian are both famous calligraphy and painting masters. Compared with Shen Ao, these two people have aroused the surprise of the pilgrims. Many of them actually do not understand calligraphy and painting, but they just feel that Shen Ao's paintings have better charm and their calligraphy is more exquisite. How can they know any excellent works? At this time, they all thought: "Is this young man really so powerful? When did a young genius with both calligraphy and painting have emerged in Bianjing City?"

Chun'er proudly replied for Chen Ao: "Brother Shen has no teacher, he learns by himself without a teacher."

Kong Ding and Kong Jing were shocked and couldn't help but say together: "How can such a thing be done in the world?"

Everyone's eyes suddenly changed when they saw Chen Ao's eyes. Without a teacher, Kong Ding could make Kong Ding. The two great monks Kong Jing praised it to this point. This is no longer a genius' description, but it is simply the reincarnation of Wenquxing.

Chen Ao smiled slightly. You must not be proud at this time. The more proud you will be seen clearly. You must be reserved, low-key, and of course you must also show that little bit of profoundness, so that others can admire and admire it more.

Fame, fortune, fame and fortune, be proud and loving money, and better fame. What is indifferent to fame and fortune is actually fake. People who often say that fame and fortune are hypocrites. If they really want to be indifferent to fame and fortune, then why are they calling around?

Chen Ao is a real villain. What's wrong with being praised by others? Chen Aoba cannot be a golden scarab in the field of fireflies in the dark night. It's clear enough and outstanding enough.

He thought to himself: "Do you want to say something? Thanks Guo Jia? Or CCTV? Wow, I'm very moved. Everyone is in a very high mood, especially these two monks, how come their eyes look familiar. Let me think about it, by the way, this is simply a copy of the fifth prince who is pursuing Xiaoyanzi by the Condor Heroes. Although the monk rubs it a little long, this look will discharge."

Chen Ao couldn't help but have a cold war and got goosebumps.
