At six o'clock in the morning, Freya changed her clothes and went out to walk her dog.
It rained the day before, and there was a little fog floating in the air. As soon as the bear touched the ground, it trotted around her like a joy.
"Good boy." Freya patted the bear's head.
The neighborhood she lives in is a little distance from the city center, with a small flow of people and is quiet at night. There is a very large park across the road from the residential area, which is very suitable for pet keepers who work leisurely.
Early in the morning, it was just dawn, and there were already groups of cats and dogs in the park.
Freya shivered and looked at the big bear's hair with jealousy. This summer is particularly long and autumn is too hot again, which has caused the temperature to suddenly drop as soon as December begins. The few people in the park can keep walking their children every day. A few days ago, she saw a young man who specializes in helping walk his pets, with several ropes wrapped around her waist.
She rubbed her hands, did some exercise on the spot for a while, and then she trotted along the white stone road with her already eager to try. Along the way, there were familiar neighbors nodding at her, and from time to time, there were lively dogs running to chase the big bear and fighting with it. The big bear was used to thinking that she was the best among all dogs, and often ignored the little guys with the shelf of a large dog.
Freya ran a few laps and sat down on the grass to press her legs.
The big bear squatted down in front of her and bit the ball. Its dog chain was hooked onto Freya's arm, and she did not dare to let the big guy run around. Seeing the big bear sit down, the puppies who were just thrown away were immediately excited. One or two of them ran to it and fluttered. A brave Samo was also biting the ball with it. Freya touched this and then touched that, and simply stretched out her arms to hold the two big guys who were not small but honest in their arms.
A soft touch came from Freya's arm. When she turned her head, she saw a white dog with bright eyes squatting beside her and looking at her.
In a year, Freya knew almost every child who would appear here early in the morning, except for the one in front of her - white fur, strong body, and a uniquely shaped "S" dog collar hanging around her neck. The big bear sniffed the other person's ear with interest, which flashed lightly.
"Hello, little guy" Freya touched its strong neck, "Who are you? Where are your masters?"
The white dog shook his tail and turned his head as if he could understand her words. Freya looked forward and found a tall man running in the open space in the park. The man was wearing white short-sleeved and loose sweatpants. He was very fast and steady. Surprisingly, the intervals of each step were very close, like a robot with a constant speed running.
The feeling of déjà vu is too strong, and Freya laughed before she even realized it.
"Wang!"
The white dog screamed loudly.
The man stopped and looked here. Seeing the scene here, he was stunned for a moment before walking over.
A little closer, Freya appreciated that the streamlined muscles of his body could make any male in the gym jealous. Most importantly, after running for so long, he did not sweat and still looked relaxed. The sun had already revealed his head, and the light made his blue eyes lit up. The dog owner and the white dog had a strange similarity, and both eyes were flashing happily.
"You look very much like one of my friends." Freya couldn't help it and spoke.
"It's my honor." The man came over and reached out, "Good morning, ma'am, my name is Clark, Clark Kent."
"I'm Freya Sheffield, this is the Big Bear." Freya introduced, "Your child is such a spiritual little guy, but I haven't seen him here before."
Mr. Kent immediately smiled and showed two small tiger teeth. "You are right, Xiao Ker and I moved here from Kansas last week. It took us a few days to adapt to the metropolitan climate and today we took him out for a morning jog."
"Little Krypton," Freya said, "a very unique name. Welcome to the Metropolitan, Mr. Kent, this is a beautiful city."
"Clark," Kent said shyly, "Thank you, Xiao Ker and I love it very much."
This morning, Freya met Clark, a new reporter who had just moved to the Metropolis and found a job at Planet Daily to prepare to report next week. Her big bear met Krypton, who had an "S" collar around her neck. Freya and Clark exchanged mobile phone numbers and selfishly placed the fitness cafe and another friend living in Washington in a group, hoping to have the opportunity to introduce them to each other.
In the next few days, Freya discovered that she and Clark had similar views in many ways, and soon, two easy-to-get-friendly people became friends.
That day, she went home after walking the big bear as usual. As soon as she entered the door, the cell phone in her pocket started to buzz.
Freya looked at the caller ID and answered the call.
"Amanda, can I know what makes you call me early in the morning?" she asked bluntly, "We will meet at work in two hours."
"I don't think you can still come to work today," said the other end of the phone. "The boss calls you to go to the Gotham negotiations."
Freya raised her eyebrows. "Didn't that case be given to Amy?"
"I was going to fly to the branch, but I found out that the main owner had gone out. How could anyone not want to go to the place in Gotham?" said Amanda.
"Then I'm willing?" Freya snorted, "Don't forget that Tom went to Gotham last time and finally broke a rib. I can't lose much money from the negotiations and I won't give me a copy of my personal insurance. Besides, this is not the first time. Every time Amy has something to do, I have to take care of it. The boss is simply fascinated. If this continues, I will be ready to change jobs."
"You can do it. If you want to change jobs, you will have already changed jobs. Even if you can do it, a boss like this who can give you so many holidays a year is not a supermarket wholesale. OK, I've said that, as the old rules, I will report all the expenses back." Amanda said.
"Then I'll book a suite in Gotham Regis now." Freya threatened.
"Then you'll be robbed when you go out? I guess there are people staring at it from all directions. As long as you walk out of the hotel, it will probably be bad if you don't have a block."
"It's not my money anyway."
"When did Gotham's robbers only grab money?" Amanda snorted, "You'd better pack up quickly. The case is quite big, and this time Amy is too obvious, so the boss is holding his breath. If you can't eat a piece of meat from Wayne Group, you'll wait to come back and get all gone during the holiday."
Freya sighed, she didn't want to deal with Wayne's legal affairs the most.
But her dedication still made her hang up the phone and immediately started to pack her luggage quickly. She packed out a suitcase and took out a package with "Bear" from the utility room. Big Bear was originally following behind her and shook her head. When she saw the big blue bag, she immediately "snarled" and crawled under the coffee table.
Freya squatted down to move its big head. "Big Bear, why did Mom tell you, how dangerous is a dog to stay at home? There are mom's personal belongings at home, so I dare not ask someone to come to feed you. Mrs. Green and her daughter, who often take you in, went to Europe to visit relatives. The two young people upstairs know how to dance every day, and the old man downstairs is not in good health, so look, there is no way, so let's go with me. Then we book a bigger room..."
As she said that, she paused for a moment in entanglement.
"But would it be too dangerous to bring you to Gotham? I have to go to negotiate during the day and I don't care about you."
When the big bear saw that there was a show, the whole dog sat upright, trying to show his steady appearance.
"Want to stay at home by yourself?" Freya raised her eyebrows, "You dreamed, what did you explain the time when the rolls of paper in the toilet were hung on you last time? And the time when I broke all my three favorite porcelain bowls last time? If I let you slut, I would be the number one idiot in the universe."
The big bear screamed.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Freya said immediately, "Let me do this, I'll call Clark first. He hasn't gone to work yet. If he is willing to take you in, it will be better. If he is not free, you have to follow me and come back and invite you to have three steaks. How about it?"
She dialed the number on her phone. "Speaking of it, Clark's dog is named Xiao Kr...I didn't expect Clark to look so honest and also have a superhuman dream in his heart."
As it turns out, Clark, whose idol is Superman, also has a warm heart like Superman. He heard Freya's request, and immediately agreed.
Half an hour later, Freya hugged the big bear who was still pretending to be dead from under the coffee table and carried it on her shoulders. She carried her luggage and its luggage bag in one hand, and went downstairs in two steps in three steps.
Clark was waiting for her not far downstairs. When he saw her appearance when she appeared, he couldn't help but move back.
Freya put down the Big Bear without blushing and breathing, and handed the package. "This is the food basin and water basin that Big Bear used when he went out. There are also toys from his childhood. The leash, mouth cover and comb are on the outside, but I just combed it yesterday. It should not be too hairy if it falls off in winter. If he is disobedient, he can gently slap his ears. This kid is not a good guy."
"I think he is quite good." Clark smiled, "When Xiao Kr was naughty, I cleaned up many messes. Don't worry, I will definitely give you a healthy dog when I come back."
"You are so good, Clark, I'm really troubled you." Freya thanked her for so much.
"It's nothing, we're friends, aren't we? But you, even if I just moved here, I know that Gotham is not a safe place. Everyone says that although it's only a bay, Metropolitan and Gotham are like day and night. Although it's Batman's territory, if you need help, remember to call it... Superman."
It turns out that all fitness men are either addicted to Captain America and cannot extricate themselves, or they are loyal fans of Superman Thor.
Freya looked at him.
"I will." She said solemnly, hoping that Clark would receive his respect and trust in his idol.
Clark was indeed happy.
They chatted for a few more times, and Freya finally touched the dog's head and said goodbye to them.
When he started the car, he looked into the rearview mirror and saw Clark hugging the two-year-old big white bear in his arms and playing with it easily. Both of them looked very happy.
