Chapter 18 The Confused Passerby

It seemed that the heavy blow just now made him stunned. The strong man's eyes were dull, but he just looked at Freya subconsciously.

She let go of her hand and still fell back to the ground from this heavy head.

"Don't look at me with this kind of eyes. How many people have you ruined before?" Freya's feet moved from his hand to his throat. "First play with it, then kill it. You do this, but have you never heard the cry of the dead undead in the middle of the night?"

The strong man was shaking all over and his throat clattered.

Freya finally glanced at him coldly and broke his neck bone without mercy.

"You will be alive," she said, "but you will not be able to move, you will not be able to speak anymore, and you will spend the rest of your life repentance of your crimes."

She dropped this sentence and walked out.

A dozen steps away, the tall man was left lying on the ground where she and Clark were originally separated, his eyes closed, as if he had fainted. The young reporter disappeared.

Freya didn't find him nearby, and she was a little worried. She knew nothing about Clark's superpowers, and all of these gangsters were wearing guns and other weapons. It was hard to say whether it would hurt him.

But time waits for no one, she must arrive in the banquet hall as soon as possible and rescue the rest.

If Luther was not here, everything would be much easier. It would be a big challenge for any superhero if he had to save people, but he could not confirm his doubts. At this moment, Freya's initial thoughts began to shake - maybe this was Luther's plan, maybe it was Luther who really cooperated with the play for his ambition?

She didn't think about it anymore and decided not to delve into it further.

The coverage of the camera in the theater was not as wide as before. Freya let go of her attention and sensed the slight noise of the camera running, and quickly found a safe route for herself. She climbed the wall lines from the gap in the surveillance range and climbed to the second floor. There was no one in the theater at nearly midnight. On the left side of the second floor, she saw the aisle leading to the dressing room. Freya apologized in her heart, took out a few pebbles from the potted plant placed on the edge of the corridor, raised her hand and threw out one quickly, smashing the camera on the aisle.

She walked down the aisle into the powder room, then walked around the cloakroom and headed towards the audience.

The temporary banquet hall chosen by Luther was originally a VIP theater for performing small plays. The seats extended diagonally from the second floor, like castles in the air. From three angles, you can clearly see everything that was performed in the open space in the middle of the first floor. Freya entered through the corner door of the audience seat and carefully bent down in the spacious seat. She walked to the front row, supported the wall with her hands, and looked down slightly. She could see everyone's face without any effort less than ten meters away from the ground. Freya glanced and checked it more slowly, and then confirmed that there was one missing among the squatting people.

She didn't see Diana.

Thinking of the evil/lewd look of the strong man just now, she silently prayed in her heart that she would never let her new friends suffer any accidents.

The gun-carrying gangsters stood scattered around the crowd, two of them got together. One man wore a pair of sunglasses and the other had a red beard. Freya listened to him, and they were debating whether to take the next move. The tall man's slow behavior was interpreted by the red beard as either having escaped or being subdued by external forces. They tied the door of the banquet hall from the inside, and were not going out to fall into the trap, but wanted to finish the work as soon as possible. The sunglasses did not agree at first, but were quickly convinced. He finally confirmed the absence of the tall gangsters on the intercom, and then nodded. The red beard made a gesture to the others and walked towards Luthor himself. He grabbed Luthor's collar and forced the latter to stand up. Two people came up to search. Soon, one of them took a square object from Luthor's suit pocket.

Freya narrowed her eyes and focused. The thing was shaped like a car key, but it was a bit like a storage device. A few lines of characters flashed from time to time on the small display.

After Red Beard got it, he took out a mung bean-sized device from his pocket and pressed it on it.

"This is not good." Freya murmured to herself, turning her gaze to Bruce and Oliver squatting together.

They almost felt something strange in front and back, and each looked upstairs in an invisible way.

Freya made a gesture.

She wrapped her white cape that she had just taken from the cloakroom, and wanted to stand up and jump off the next moment, but the sound of the shattering glass interrupted her.

I saw a lead-gray armor breaking through the window at an extremely high speed. After entering, it raised its arms and shot a dazzling light cannon. Immediately followed by a golden-red armor, its chest was shiny, as if it was brewing some more powerful moves.

In an instant, several gangsters in the field fell to the ground under dense attacks. The remaining part quickly took out a strange-shaped thing from his pocket, pressed the button, and extended a blue round protective shield from it, blocking the next wave of attacks.

Freya couldn't recognize the gray armor, but she had seen the golden armor flying over her head in New York.

"Heartbreaker", they call it, a powerful and powerful name.

Stark walked into the Heartbreaker under the cover of artillery fire. The armor became agile like it was injected with life and began to break out in the gap between the blue shield. People ran away in panic, and some were almost hit by stray bullets that were fired randomly while the bandits were aiming at Iron Man. Stark immediately adjusted his height, and his chest emitted a white light, and a huge shock wave shot out from there, hitting the enemy's blue shield heavily.

They only lasted for a few seconds and were completely broken, exposing the bandits who had no power to resist behind them.

Seeing that the situation was not good, the red bearded man threw an electronic bomb into the field, then took out his flying claws and quickly climbed up to the second floor to escape.

Freya was ready to catch up immediately.

Iron Man stood still for a few seconds in the impact of a special electronic bomb/bomb, but he quickly moved again.

At this moment, an abnormality occurred.

The bandits who had been knocked down began to let out strange low roars one after another. Their swollen bodies cracked their clothes, their hard hair continued to grow, and their sharp finger claws and salivating canine teeth broke through their flesh. They, no, are they now, these half-human and half-beast creatures climbed up from the ground, staring at the Iron Man wandering in the air, and more of them placed hungry/thirsty eyes on the screaming and running for life. The eyes were green, and the roar rolled in their throats, eager to try.

"What a joke!" Iron Man shouted in disbelief, "Is this thing a werewolf? Today isn't April Fool's Day!"

He knocked a werewolf away with a palm cannon, but this attack did not leave much trace on the opponent's body, but it slightly burned its hair. The werewolf made a roar of anger, and took a few steps back and jumped high into the air, almost reaching the legs of Iron Man.

He had no worries about his life, but was dragged down.

The lead-gray armor is extremely fast and has transferred most ordinary people out of the theater.

Freya no longer hesitated. She turned to chase the corridor on the second floor. After glancing, Oliver was running to the stairs behind the curtain, and Bruce had climbed up the second floor at some point. Techara helped the gray armor transfer the slightly injured person in chaos. He was quick to move, which shows that the prince was also well-trained.

Freya was very fast, almost shortly after the Red Bearded man ran into the corridor, she chased him to the back. From this angle, she could clearly see the whole process of the man in front of her. In less than ten seconds, a normal human became a half-human and half-wolf creature.

She raised her right hand and was about to shoot a pebble out. Suddenly, Red Beard took out something from her pocket and threw it on the ground.

With a gentle "tick", a sharp sonic boom that came like a huge wave.

Freya's head buzzed, and a glass flower appeared in front of her, and she couldn't help but stop.

The sharp pain exploded on her head.

Freya focused on her eyes and pressed her ear with one hand.

When she finally identified the direction of the sonic meter from her tears and smashed it all at once, the red beard had already bypassed the corner. The sound waves caused great damage to her eardrums. Freya stood there and shook her head, waiting for a dizziness in pain to pass, confirming that her hearing was slowly recovering, and then followed again.

Bruce ran out of a small door, as if he had taken a shortcut. He glanced at Freya, whose eyes were red, and kept walking.

"He got the thing and couldn't let him go," Freya said, throwing two more stones out of her hand, shattering the remaining monitors.

As he got closer, Freya saw the back of the man at the end of the corridor. He seemed to be about to run into the last room and jump into the window to escape. Below the room was the street that was still busy in the middle of the night. If he was really allowed to run into the crowd, it would be even more difficult to get things back.

Freya gritted her teeth and prepared to take extraordinary measures.

At this moment, Diana and Clark suddenly rushed out of a room on the side of the corridor.

Freya didn't have time to think about why these two people were together, but just shouted loudly—

"Catch him!"

Redbeard wanted to rush straight to a road of life, but was tripped by Diana without thinking. He rolled around on the ground, and when he turned around, he held a small gun in his hand. He pressed a button, and the gun quickly reassembled, and in an instant it turned into a Lan Yingying machine gun, which seemed to have strange patterns floating on it.

Before he could stand up, Freya entered the room and guarded the retreat of the window.

......

When Oliver arrived, he saw this confrontation scene. Freya stood by the window, Diana and Clark were in the room, and Bruce was near the door, surrounding the red beard that was no longer adult in the middle.

If he was surprised by the combination, he didn't show it, but hesitated for a moment and stood on the edge of Blues.

The red dots that jumped on the Fangzheng storage were even more frequent. The red-bearded man looked at the thing he had taken from Luther and smiled grimly.

Freya suddenly had an ominous premonition and took a step forward.

The gangster pulled the trigger at her, and the flames gushed out of the modified gun. The red dot of the reservoir stopped jumping, and then an ominous "click"—

Everything happened almost simultaneously.

Bruce, who was closest to the door, instantly threw Oliver to the ground, but the latter seemed to be preparing to do the same thing, but they rolled into a ball, and two darts of different shapes could fly out at precise angles.

Clark appeared beside Redbeard, frowned and pressed the reservoir tightly into his hands.

Diana took out a golden rope from somewhere. It seemed as if she wanted to pull Freya to her, but the latter just staggered.

......

A bullet swept through like a rainstorm.

A loud noise sounded from the palm of the young reporter.

The red-bearded gangster lay down on the ground, with an anesthesia dart around his neck, and the barrel in his hand was cut in half by the sharp bat dart.

Clark let go of his hand, only bombs that could blow up the entire theater were left with ashes, and they were scattered from his palms.

Diana's golden rope was like a flexible snake, tightly covering Freya's waist.

The blue-light bullet kept falling from Freya onto the marble floor, making a subtle but deafening sound at this moment.

Ding, ding, ding.

Bruce and Oliver let go of each other and stood up.

For a moment, no one said anything.

"So, are we going to talk about this?"

Maybe it's been so long, Freya said idly.

The last few flat bullets fell off her neck.
