In order to reduce work intensity and improve safety and accuracy, navies in various countries have developed auxiliary landing systems and fully automatic control systems. For example, the "Precise Approach Landing System" (PALS) and "Instrument Landing System" (ICLS) in the 1980s.

Pilots can choose three methods: fully automatic, semi-automatic, and manual landing. The fully automatic landing will be taken over by the control center. This method is still under test and has not been truly used in practice due to the complex environment and system stability.
