Chapter 281 Strange Porcelain

It was already past two o'clock in the afternoon after leaving Professor Tang's house.

At noon, I drank some wine with Aunt Gao, and the princess's little face looked particularly beautiful.

Originally, Yang Jing wanted to send the princess back to give her some rest, but the girl said nothing and insisted that Yang Jing accompany her to finish the other half of the campus that she had not yet visited. As a result, the two of them went shopping and went straight until it was getting darker.

Princess' grandmother called and asked her to take Yang Jing home for dinner in the evening. When Yang Jing came to pick up Princess in the morning, the girl told her grandmother.

So, in the evening, Yang Jing had another supper with Princess' grandmother. However, at dinner, the three of them were the three of them. Princess' mother and aunt did not come back. Princess' uncle and family of three were all out of town, so the only three of them were eating this meal together.

The princess's grandmother obviously likes Yang Jing very much. Yang Jing also likes this cheerful old lady. She said a lot of things to the young and old, and did not say goodbye until after nine o'clock in the evening.

Of course Yang Jing wanted to bring the princess out, but this girl was tender-skinned and didn't follow Yang Jing out no matter what she said. In desperation, Yang Jing had to stay alone in the empty room...

Unbearable to loneliness, Yang Jing simply activated the "restricted-level time and space shuttle" skill and ran to the vicinity of Chaotian Palace at 3 a.m. on July 10, 1982.

Chaotian Palace is a famous tourist attraction in Jinling and also the largest antique market in Jinling. As the saying goes, "There is Panjiayuan in the north and Chaotian Palace in the south", it is enough to prove the famous Chaotian Palace antique market.

However, in 1982, the Chaotian Palace antique market had not yet been established.

However, near Chaotian Palace at this time, the Ghost Market was very famous.

When it comes to the Ghost Market, even if you pat your horse, the Ghost Market in Yanjing cannot catch up with the Ghost Market in Chaotian Palace.

How long has the ghost market in Chaotian Palace appeared? There is no way to investigate this, but one thing can prove that the ghost market in Chaotian Palace was at least in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Mr. Gu Qiyuan's notes during the Wanli period include the record of "Jinling City Heyueguang".

In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the ghost market in Chaotian Palace became even more prosperous. In that era, the teahouse on Pingshi Street was the main place where the former Ming Dynasty old and young men traded their treasures.

These old and young men from the previous dynasty were very proud of their face and were unwilling to go to the ghost market like those local masters, so they talked about business in such a relatively elegant teahouse. Gradually, Pingshi Street became the most prosperous antique market in that era.

However, with the rapid decline of the old and young people, the prosperity of Pingshi Street soon disappeared. More people still stayed in Shuiximen, Mochou Road and Tangzi Street, and the transaction time was postponed from the night before dusk to before dawn later.

At that time, few people called the name "Ghost Market", but "Black Market". Before dawn, "It's dark, people, goods, and prices", thieves, second-hand dealers, old and young... People of different shapes gathered here during this darkest time. Stolen goods, counterfeits and other items were used everywhere, becoming the most chaotic area in Jinling City at that time.

Later, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the name of the black market was too ugly. In addition, the name "Ghost Market" that came from the north was more appropriate, so the black market in the area near Chaotian Palace gradually returned to the earliest "Ghost Market".

But if we want to talk about the origin of the name "Ghost Market", it is said that it can be traced back to Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

According to local folk legends in Jinling, it is said that after Zhu Yuanzhang established his capital in Nanjing, he passed by a temple when he visited in a small dress. This temple was the Chaotian Palace later. He ate a bowl of vegetarian noodles for pilgrims to eat and praised it. After returning to the palace, he also asked the imperial kitchen to make it, but the imperial kitchen could not make it. When Empress Ma sent a small eunuch to check the temple, he found that the vegetarian noodles were made of broth. Not only did the Taoist priests kill animals, but the uninformed pilgrims made the meat in a confused manner. When Zhu Yuanzhang learned about it, he was furious and ordered the killing of the Taoist priests in the Taoist sacred.

Later, after the night market was formed in Chaotiangong area, one day, the stalls were closed at dawn. When many stall owners counted their income, they found that the money they were on hand was fake. What's even more terrifying was that these fake money were actually burned to death!

At the beginning, the stall owners cursed unscrupulous little boys, and later some people thought that there had been many Taoist priests here. Some even suspected that this was the intersection of the yin and yang worlds. On the Qingming Festival and the Zhongyuan Festival, the descendants respected some paper money. The Taoist priests killed by Zhu Yuanzhang naturally could not spend it during the day, so they came to take a look at it at night, and by the way, they spent the "money" that these descendants respected...

The stall owners couldn't see it at night, but the next morning the ghost coins naturally appeared as soon as they saw the sunlight. So the name of "Ghost Market" quickly spread...

This legend is a bit scary, but it can explain the origin of this "ghost market".

Yang Jing went to college in Jinling for four years, and during this period he even came to Chaotian Palace Antique Market countless times. He naturally heard these legends about Chaotian Palace Ghost Market more than once or twice.

Although this legend is a bit scary, Yang Jing doesn't believe in those things at all. Especially when Yang Jing was in college, he heard many people say that in the early 1980s, there were good things in the ghost market in Chaotian Palace, and some people bought some old items with big openings for more than ten yuan...

The ghost market has a good thing. Whether it is the ghost market in Yanjing, the ghost market in Chaotian Palace, or even the early ghost markets across the country, it is a fact that is almost the same as the truth.

Especially in the 1980s, the ghost market in that era was even more synonymous with "good stuff", "old objects" and even "open doors"!

Yang Jing, the ghost market in Panjiayuan in Yanjing in the 1990s, had personally experienced it. The old objects and many fun things were astonishing. However, Yang Jing had never felt the ghost market in Chaotian Palace. Therefore, since he was lonely tonight, he might as well go back to the past to buy some good things.

The winter in Jinling is very tormenting. Yang Jing didn't want to get cold early in the morning, so he simply chose the hottest season in July to pass through. At least in the early morning of summer, the weather is relatively comfortable, which is most suitable for Taobao and other things.

The place where Yang Jing traveled was set outside the south wall of Chaotian Palace. In the 1980s, Chaotian Palace Antique Market had not moved to Cangxiang, Anpin Street and Nanyihou Street, and Chaotian Palace West Street located to the west of Chaotian Palace was the most prosperous antique market at that time. The Ghost Market was also on this street that was heading northwest and southeast.

In 1982, there were no high-rise buildings near Chaotian Palace. In this era, there were all bungalows. Moreover, the very spacious Chaotian Palace West Street, which was later, is now a small road less than ten meters wide.

Yang Jing adjusted his appearance to his thirties, and then walked out of the bushes on the south wall of the Heavenly Palace. Even if someone saw it, he thought he had just finished his hands...

The sky was so dark that it could not be seen, but in more than an hour, the sky should be bright.

Yang Jing quickly walked to the West Street of Chaotian Palace, but what disappointed Yang Jing was that it was far inferior to the Panjiayuan Ghost Market in 1994. At least, whether it was a stall or a shopping mall, it was far inferior to the number of Panjiayuan Ghost Market.

But when I think about it, I feel relieved. It is 1982 now. In this era, there are not many people who dare to come out of the ghost market at risk, and even there are not many people who come to visit the ghost market.

In fact, since the Republic of China period, the area from Hanzhong Road to Chaotian Palace became the largest antique trading distribution center in Jinling. Later, antique trading was still concentrated in Mochou Road, Chaotian Palace West Street, and Tangzi Street. It was not until the mid-1950s that the government reformed it and stipulated that it could enter the market until dawn, and took measures to prevent thieves from selling stolen goods. Although people are used to calling it a "black market", in fact, most of the connotation of "black" has been lost, and the black market has gradually become a second-hand market for ordinary waste items.

Later, in that turbulent era, the powerful "Break the Four Olds" appeared. In that era, not to mention antique trading, even second-hand goods trading had no room for survival. It was not until the end of that chaotic era that Chaotian Palace West Street gradually restored the previous antique market, and similarly, the ghost market also appeared.

However, until now in 1982, the scale of the ghost market here is still not very large. Those dealers or antique lovers also secretly came over while it was dark. But at this time, there were still many good things on the ghost market here, unlike a few years later, which had become a professional old book market...

Yang Jing walked in this ghost market for a short time and his attention was attracted by a street stall.

With the help of the dim battery lights on the stall, Yang Jing could see clearly that the street stall was filled with colorful porcelain.

However, these porcelains are very different from those familiar to Yang Jing, both in terms of color and shape.

This unique shape and bright colored porcelain immediately attracted Yang Jing, which made him squat down in front of this stall.

Both the shape and color of these porcelains made Yang Jing feel a little puzzled. It was really hard for him to remember that the color of the porcelain in that dynasty could be compared with the porcelain in front of him.

If the porcelain fired by the ancestors of China is compared to elegant ink and wash landscape paintings, then the porcelain in front of you will look like brightly colored oil paintings...

In addition to the color, the shapes of these porcelains are also very different from those of any dynasty that Yang Jing once saw. Although these porcelains look quite beautiful, they give people the feeling that they lack a sense of grandeur and steadyness, as if they vaguely have a feeling of "a tiger that can't be like a dog."

After staring at these porcelains for a long time, an idea came to Yang Jing's mind.
