Chapter 551 Manuscripts of Buddhist scriptures

After putting this Buddha statue in storage space, Yang Jing began to mobilize the tomb.

In a few minutes, all these gilded bronze Buddha statues that were priceless in every later generation were put away by Yang Jing. It is worth mentioning that the eighteen Buddha statues with different figures in the middle of these 108 Buddha statues were even heavier after buying them.

Although these eighteen Buddha statues are the smallest in size, they are the largest in weight. There is no doubt that these eighteen Buddha statues are not gilded, but are Buddha statues made of pure gold.

Although pure gold Buddha statues in Chinese history are rare, especially the older they are, the rarer they are, but this is the only tomb built by a queen in China in the past. Moreover, these Buddha statues are all burial objects arranged by Wu Zetian for himself. With the wealth of the Wu Zhou era, let alone the 18 pure gold Buddha statues appear here, even if these 108 Buddha statues are made of pure gold, Yang Jing would not feel it rare.

These eighteen Buddha statues are all made of Buddha statues, some of whom smile with flowers, some of whom close their eyes and contemplate. Anyway, the shapes are different. At first glance, it looks like the bald brother Guo Jing is fighting the eighteen palms of the dragon subduing...

After sweeping this tomb, Yang Jing did the same thing and opened another blocked tomb.

This tomb chamber shocked Yang Jing even more, because when Yang Jing figured out what the burial objects in this tomb were, he immediately realized that the burial objects in this tomb chamber were of great value from that perspective, no matter from that perspective, they were of far value than those gilded bronze Buddha statues.

Because the tomb is filled with translated hand-written Buddhist scriptures!

At first, Yang Jing didn't know what was in the many light yellow brocade boxes placed on several huge stone tables. Those brocade boxes had faded a lot due to time. I guess they were all bright yellow when they were put here. However, after nearly 1,500 years, even if the tomb was airtight, the colors of these bright yellow brocade boxes became much dimmed.

After opening one of the brocade boxes, Yang Jing realized that the hundreds of brocade boxes were filled with hand-written Buddhist scriptures.

Just like the Buddhist scripture in my hand, it turned out to be a volume of the hand-copied "The Great Prajna Sutra"!

The Great Prajna Sutra is a Buddhist scripture, full name is the Great Prajna Paramita Sutra, and abbreviated as the "Prajna Sutra". The earliest Mahayana Prajna Sutra introduced to China was the 10 volumes of the "Prajna Sutra" translated by Zhu Foshuo and Zhilou Jiachen of the Eastern Han Dynasty (the later titled "Prajna Sutra") (equivalent to the fourth meeting of this sutra), and is known as the "Small Prajna Sutra" in the world.

After that, Wu Zhiqian, Zhu Shixing and others from the Three Kingdoms re-translated this sutra one after another, and Kumarajiva even re-translated the 20,000 verses of the "Maha Prajna Paramita Sutra" in the sixth year of Hongshi in the Later Qin Dynasty, and translated the 8,000 verses of the "Maha Prajna Paramita Sutra" and the 8,000 verses of the "Diamond Sutra" in the tenth year of Hongshi.

These Buddhist predecessors have translated this scripture, but none of it was until Master Xuanzang in the early Tang Dynasty, the prototype of the Tang monk in Journey to the West, went to India to seek scriptures, and brought back three complete Sanskrit versions of the Great Prajna Sutra, a total of 200,000 verses to China, and took his disciples to translate this scripture himself.

Wu Zetian Buddha, so many gilded bronze Buddha statues appeared in the tomb just now, which proves this. It is naturally not surprising that so many Buddhist scriptures with burials appear in this tomb.

However, these Buddhist scriptures made Yang Jing feel excited. Because Yang Jing gave the answer through the holy precepts, he knew that these Buddhist scriptures were not only extremely precious hand-copied Buddhist scriptures, but also that the people who copied the Buddhist scriptures were all calligraphy masters from the Tang Dynasty and Wuzhou periods.

For example, the set of "The Great Prajna Sutra" in his hand was written by Ouyang Xun, the leader of the four great masters in the early Tang Dynasty. If the Holy Precepts were not for the wrong answer, Yang Jing really couldn't believe that the volume of "The Great Prajna Sutra" in his hand was actually the original work of that master.

Such a complete Great Prajna Sutra and the authentic work of Ouyang Xun, the value of this Great Prajna Sutra is great. It is absolutely no exaggeration to say that it is a priceless treasure.

This thing is not a stele, nor is it a rubbing or a copy of later generations. This is the original work of Ouyang Xun, and it is also a complete set of the Great Prajna Sutra!

It is said that one page of Song books is one or two gold coins, but if Song books are compared with Tang books, it would be far inferior.

Since Bi Sheng invented the printing of movable type, the Song and Ming books have been called rare ancient books. The only remaining broken pages in the Tang Dynasty are all handwritten copies. In any aspect, even the broken pages in the Tang Dynasty are far more valuable than those in the Song Dynasty.

Not to mention that this "Great Prajna Sutra" is also the original work of Ouyang Xun!

Since all the original works of Mr. Ouyang Xun have appeared, can the other famous artists still be far away?

Sure enough, Yang Jing selected one by one and found other handwritten manuscripts of calligraphy masters in the early Tang Dynasty and even the Sui Dynasty, such as the original works of Chu Suiliang, such as the original works of Yu Shinan and the original works of Xue Ji.

As for the original works of Liu Gongquan or Yan Zhenqing, Yang Jing did not expect to discover them here. When Wu Zetian died, neither Liu Gongquan nor Yan Zhenqing were born yet...

In addition to the original works of these masterpieces, there are other authentic works of other less famous calligraphers from the Sui and Tang dynasties.

Anyway, no matter what, the value of these hand-written Buddhist scriptures is far greater than the gilded bronze Buddha statues just now, and even the inscriptions left by Yue Chengzi, it is definitely not inferior.

These Buddhist scriptures are well protected. After all, this tomb itself is airtight, and these Buddhist scriptures are all housed in brocade boxes made of golden nanmu, which is said to be "uncorrupted for thousands of years and immortal for thousands of years."

Not to mention these Buddhist scriptures, even the bright yellow silk wrapped in the brocade box did not fade much. This is enough to prove how well these Buddhist scriptures protect.

This time I definitely made a fortune!

First, those extremely precious inscriptions were found, and later those precious gold-plated bronze Buddha statues of the Tang Dynasty were discovered. Now, these immeasurable manuscripts of Buddhist scriptures were found. If this was not considered wealth, there would probably be nothing in the world that could make money.

No wonder tomb robbery has been banned from time to time, and it is the case all over the world. It is really a matter of this kind that can really make a fortune.

It is said that "a horse without night grass is not fat, and a person without rampant wealth is not rich." Even Cao Cao even formed a lieutenant to raise military funds, which is enough to prove that the unethical things like to rob the tomb can really make people rich overnight.

"Haha, are you considered to be tomb robbers now?" Yang Jing began to become a little confused...

However, after a while of confusion, Yang Jing simply threw this problem behind his head and continued to explore the only remaining tomb room on this floor.

PS: Bow and thank you for the reward of 1,000 for "First Kissing to Hand".
