Chapter 29 Rasmedo

From heaven and Zhu County, the car passed through the township roads.

Township roads are cement roads, which are easy to walk on, but after walking for a while, when entering the mountainous area, the cement roads become dirt roads.

The dirt roads in the mountains are bumpy and difficult to walk. Fortunately, the desert trucks perform well, otherwise they would have been scrapped.

In the mountainous area, there are vast mountains on both sides, and a mountain stream below. The sky is particularly blue and the air is particularly fresh. The car drove forward for a while, and Cai Hongming asked Tuobaniu to stop. Then the mountain road gradually became smaller and more rugged and difficult to drive, so the car would be better here. In the past, he also stopped here when he came here and drove away when he returned. The mountainous area was sparsely populated, and sometimes he was not lucky and he might not meet someone for a month, so there was no need to worry that the car would be stolen.

After getting off the car, the crowd continued to move forward.

The scenery in late autumn is so charming. The forest next to the mountain road is golden, white, ochre red, dark purple, dark green, and various leaves fall all over the ground. The thick leaves weave the woods into a colorful and beautiful carpet, making people pause, nostalgic and forgetting. But Songna is eager to return home, and she didn't pay attention to the scenery on the roadside, and flew forward.

Walking through an "S"-shaped curved mountain path and climbing over a hillside, you will see the village "Lasmedo" where Songna's family is located.

Rasmedo, in Tibetan, means a place where flowers bloom or fairies descend to earth.

If spring comes, you will see the colorful wild flowers in the hillsides and valleys here, the purple corundum is filled with purple air, and the leaves are as white as snow waves... It's a pity that it is late autumn now, the grass on the ground has become yellow, and the wild flowers have already faded and turned into seeds. They are buried underground or in the wind. The green forests by the forest are already bleak, with colorful fallen leaves all over the ground.

There is a small clear lake in front of the village of Lasmedo. A stream originating from the snowy mountains winds down from the mountains, and it never stops until the end of the year.

This is the source of life in the village. The villagers treat it in the way they treat their mothers. Every New Year's Eve of the Tibetan calendar, a grand celebration will be held by the lake to repay the grace of the great mother for raising her.

When you approach the village, a row of white towers appeared on the side of the road. The white towers were built with stones, and the bottom was surrounded by exquisite prints carved with Buddhist stories. Walking forward, you will see the houses inhabited by the people of Lasmedo Village. These villages are built on the mountain and are made of stone slabs. They look simple and unique, revealing a deep, heavy and steady atmosphere.

When he got home, Songna immediately ran forward like a wild horse that had run away from reins, but saw that her father had already taken his younger brother Laba to wait at the entrance of the village.

Cai Hongming hurriedly walked forward and shouted, "Uncle Basang, why are you out?"

"When the guests are here, there is no reason why the host sits at home." Basang smiled heartily and welcomed Cai Hongming and others into the living room of the house.

Food was already prepared on the table in the living room, including roasted lamb, tsampa, cheese, various fried foods and hot milk tea.

Basang's home is a typical Tibetan cultural decoration. When Cai Hongming and others sat down, Songna's mother took a copper pot and poured them on the warm milk tea that had been prepared. It was already noon here. After walking for a while, she was physically consumed. It was undoubtedly a great pleasure to sit down and drink a sip of hot milk tea and eat something.

Songna's family was originally a medium-sized family in the village.

But once, his father Basang accidentally fell into the ravine when he went to the mountain to stock, causing several ribs and calves to break, which cost a lot of money, casting a shadow on this not-so-rich family. Finally, he spent all his money and then collected all the medical expenses.

Although Basan's injury was later cured, life at home also became difficult.

Songna and her younger brother studied in the town school. Although they didn’t have to pay tuition, they had to board in the town because they were too far away from home, so they had boarding fees, textbook fees, food fees and other expenses. Although this money was not much, it was a big burden for this already poor family. So Songna dropped out of school and asked her younger brother to study. Later, she went to Cai Hongming’s barbecue stall to help. With the money she earned, the family gradually improved.

During a conversation with Songna, Cai Hongming learned that the sheep they had sold were very cheap, so he became interested. Of course, he also had the idea of helping them, so he drove to them to buy sheep.

Later, when he got familiar with it, he suggested that Basang raise white yaks.

Although sheep are fast enough to sell, the climate in the mountains is changing. Sometimes it suddenly snowstorms can freeze the sheep to death, and more sheep die in winter. Moreover, there are too many sheep to manage. Now the local government is building white yaks into a set of industries to promote them, without worrying about no sales, but the price will gradually increase. What is important is that yaks are raised in a rough manner and are cold-resistant, and they will not die easily even in bad weather of 50 degrees.

After hearing Cai Hongming's words and with his repeated statements about the acquisition and financial assistance, Basang specially raised white yaks.

Later, Cai Hongming even brought sweet potatoes and corn seeds from his home for him to plant. No one here planted these things, most of them planted barley and potatoes.

This is what makes him speechless. It’s potatoes, so can’t you grow something else?

Although sweet potatoes and corn can only be grown for one season, it is also very good. Corn and sweet potatoes have high yields, which are both good feeds. After the corn is harvested, you can eat them yourself or feed them, and corn stalks can also be crushed and fed to cows; let alone sweet potatoes, you can eat them almost all over your body. In winter, there is no grass to feed cows, so you can use corn and sweet potatoes. If you master it well, you don’t have to buy feed all year round, saving a lot of money. The cattle raised in this way basically don’t cost much.

So over the years, when the villagers saw the profits, they changed to raising yaks.

Speaking of which, whether it is sheep or cattle, there are dealers here to buy it. However, because it is a remote mountainous area, the price is often very low. The villagers really get very little money, so they have been living in poverty. Until Cai Hongming arrives, the price of buying sheep is increased, and the talents in Lasmedo village gradually become rich.

I have drunk hot tea and eaten food. My originally empty stomach has become full and I feel much more energetic.

At this time, Cai Hongming asked Basang: "Uncle Basang, are the yak I want ready?"

"I'm ready, just wait for you to get it when you leave."

Cai Hongming nodded. He had been doing business here for so long and knew that the people here were simple and there would be no tricks. He was relieved. After thinking for a while, he said, "Uncle Basang, if there is a little white yak next year, please leave one for me. I want to take it back to raise."

It's funny to say that after seeing the white, pure and cute white yak in the scenic area for the first time, he felt that this thing was the messenger on the sacred mountain and could not be desecrated, let alone eaten. But when he saw the white yak raised by the farmer, he immediately abandoned the idea. The white yak raised by the farmer was completely different from the ones in the scenic area. It was so sloppy and dirty. Not to mention the lumps of soil from east to west, the original white hair turned black. It was no different from the usual cows, so he felt at ease to eat it.

He thought of the cows in the scenic area. The cow's hair was combed softly and washed white, and looked pure and flawless, so he wanted to raise one by himself to play with it.

When Basan heard this, he immediately patted his chest and said, "No problem, I will prepare the strongest calf for you."
