Chapter 118 Lin Hui's suggestion!

The development time of China is only more than seventy years. From scratch to something, from undergraduate to doctoral degree, it is all step by step.

In the past, college students were quite rare. Later, because of the establishment of postgraduate programs, there were graduate students. Similarly, with the establishment of doctoral programs, only people were qualified to study for doctoral degrees.

The Second Xiangya Hospital affiliated to Xiangnan University was among the first batch of master's degree programs in the country in 1978, and was awarded the first doctoral program in 2003. So far, the doctoral program has only been established for less than 20 years.

Shonan University has been rated as 985/211, double first-class university. In order to cater to the development trend of the times, the requirements for doctoral graduation are also gradually increasing.

In 2010, doctoral students could graduate as long as they had one SCI article, regardless of the type of article.

Sci articles are divided into many types.

Category 1: original article (thesis), basic and clinical articles. Basic articles are articles that are commonly published now. They are forward-looking research. It is difficult to publish and must have innovative points.

The second category is case report. Case reports mainly share some rare cases and are documentary articles. They are not very innovative and have the most published types.

The third category: review article. A review is a summary of a certain point such as the current diagnosis and treatment of a disease or its pathogenesis. Most of the people who publish such articles are industry leaders or scientific research comparisons. Some great newcomers.

Category 4: Meta-analysis (Meta analysis). Meta analysis has been around for decades, but it has not been really used in the medical field for a long time. It is a very easy article to write. The type is better than a review. Bring one more type of article with technical content.

The fifth category, Letter (letter to the editor), this type of article is to look for flaws in published SCI papers. If you find it, you will send it to the editorial department, and then the original author of the article will answer it.

In the early years, doctoral students could graduate with the simplest letter and meta analysis.

However, in recent years, Shonan University's graduation standards for doctoral students have been increasingly improved. Even the graduation standards for some academic master's students must have a sci-fi article in the form of a monograph before they can graduate.

For doctoral students, in addition to having SCI, there are also certain requirements for SCI partitions.

Mainly using JCR partitioning.

The JCR partition is based on the impact factor (IF value). All journals in a certain subject are arranged in descending order according to the impact factor of the previous year, and then divided into 4 equal parts (25% each), namely Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4.

The graduation standard for doctoral students is two articles in the Q3 area, or one article in the Q2 area. The article type must be Article.

This is more difficult.

There are only so many journals in the world, and those in the specialty of orthopedics are even more limited. People all over the world are vying for position.

And it’s not just students, some famous doctors and professors will compete for article positions in those journals. If you want to be published, you have to defeat these people!

Many professors now do not necessarily have many sci-fi papers in the form of monographs. This is more because they have published more systematic reviews after becoming experts in the industry. In addition, in recent years, doctoral students have used their Meta-analysis or monograph-type articles published in the name are superimposed.

There are not many articles that are actually written by professors themselves.

Because the standards for doctoral graduation are becoming more and more stringent, basically every year, doctoral students delay graduation, and even doctoral students are expelled from school every year!

This is true for one degree. If you want to successfully graduate with a double degree, you can imagine that you have to make achievements in both subject areas at the same time.

Moreover, the academic year is the same. If you can't graduate on time, you will have to postpone it. This will completely make it more difficult for Lu Chengzai.

Graduating a doctorate is not easy. After hearing this and seeing that Professor Min and others seemed to think Lin Hui's proposal was very good, Lu Cheng felt a little confused.

Professor Min and Li Dongshan were also thinking about Lin Hui's suggestion.

In fact, they wanted to curse, but they really couldn't curse Lin Hui. Because when Lin Hui was studying for his doctorate, he had a doctorate in orthopedics and a doctorate in materials science. He had a dual degree.

Let’s put it this way, orthopedics belongs to the medical field, and materials science has nothing to do with medicine at all.

Lin Hui has graduated them all, what can you say about him?

I have received interdisciplinary doctorates.

And precisely because of Lin Hui's lessons learned, with Lin Hui's help, it is really possible for Lu Cheng to obtain dual doctorate degrees in emergency surgery and orthopedics, which would just solve the current embarrassment.

After all, it was Zhou Xuanqing who called him, and Zhou Xuanqing is also a professor of orthopedics. They are all respectable people. It was originally agreed in private that he would be transferred to Li Dongshan, but Min Hong came to cut him off halfway. Although according to the If you follow the rules, Li Dongshan will definitely not be able to defeat Min Hong.

But in this case, you can't rub Zhou Xuanqing's face directly on the ground, right? After all, he is also a professor.

If you can get the best of both worlds, there is no need to be alone.

Everyone looked at it for a while without saying anything, but their eyes and expressions seemed to acquiesce to Lin Hui's suggestion.

But immediately, Min Hong said: "Teacher Li, I think Lin Hui's suggestion is good, but the question is which subject Lu Cheng should study first. Should we discuss it?"

Of course Min Hong wanted to keep Lu Cheng directly in the fourth ward of orthopedics. Otherwise, what else would he have to argue with Li Dongshan?

Li Dongshan glanced at Lin Hui and Zhou Xuanqing and said, "Then naturally go to our emergency department first. You have so many orthopedic talents, how can you still lack Lu Cheng?"

Zhou Xuanqing stared, cursing Min Hong and Li Dongshan in his mind for not taking him seriously at all.

I called you here, can you respect me?

Seeing that Min Hong was about to speak, Lin Hui quickly said: "Professor Min, I think Teacher Li is right. It would be good for Lu Cheng to go to the emergency department first."

Min Hong glared at Lin Hui, but Lin Hui still insisted on his opinion.

Li Dongshan immediately felt that Lin Hui was very pleasing to his eyes. He glanced at Min Hong and showed no intention of continuing to speak. He quickly said: "Haha, if it's settled like this, then I won't be polite."

"Tomorrow, I will ask Xiao Lu to report to our emergency department. I won't disturb you any more. Look, you have just undergone surgery and need more rest. It is really disturbing today."

What this says is that you deserve a beating at your age.

After saying that, Li Dongshan and Yu Youlin left.

Min Hong then stared at Lin Hui and listened to the other party's explanation.

Lin Hui glanced at Zhou Xuanqing, then at Lu Cheng, and said with a twitching corner of his mouth: "Professor Min, Professor Zhou, if I tell you, Xiao Lu may not stay in the emergency department for less than half a year, and Professor Li Dongshan will behave himself."

Do you believe that they sent people to our fourth ward of orthopedics?"

As soon as these words came out, Lu Cheng blinked.

Min Hong and Zhou Xuanqing immediately became thoughtful.

There is something in Lin Hui's words.
