Chapter 48: Rob's Daily Life

In the morning, Rob was woken up by the watch on the bedside table. Before he opened his eyes, he felt Sam's big tongue licking back and forth on his face.

After the thoughts in his mind recovered a little, he immediately stood up, stroked the dog's head first, and then started a regular day of life.

"How did you sleep last night? That sound scared me!"

After saying hello to Sam, Dog, Rob started his regular morning activities, washing exercises, and took Sam to run for two kilometers on the treadmill. After taking a shower, he entered the laboratory converted into the basement of the villa alone to check the vaccine samples.

He took a white coat full of ritual, took some hand sanitizer, and washed his hands. Robert's expression was somewhat bad.

Because today may be the same as many times before, it will be a disappointing day.

But at the same time, he was constantly thinking about what the loud noise he heard last night from the direction of the Empire State Building?

Bomb? Not very similar, but what makes a sound?

Was it made by zombies, or...human?

The foam on both hands had been washed away by the water flow. Robert shook his head and grabbed the disposable paper to wipe his hands dry.

No longer thinking about what was happening outside, he pushed open the second iron gate and Rob walked into the laboratory.

Turn on the compartment, wake up the computer on the workbench, turn on the video recording function, and record your face on the portable camera.

"Dr. Robert, on September 21, 2015, GA-391 serum, video recording began."

After saying this routine, Robert installed the camera above the display screen on his glasses, took it on and entered the simple biological laboratory in the glass compartment.

After turning off the ultraviolet light, the black cloth covering the glass cage was lifted.

Suddenly, the originally quiet hairless rats suddenly became manic, constantly hitting the glass plate, shouting at Robert's manic.

If you don't know what the shouting looks like, you can refer to the angry lemming.

Looking at the rows of manic mice, Robert began to record, "Compounds 1, 3, 4... did not respond, and Compounds 2, 5, 6... killed the host."

After reading one failed experiment after another, Robert's tone became more and more calm. After experiencing more disappointments, he became accustomed to it...

"etc!"

But after he finished reading all the rats killed by the new agent, the hairless rat, who was judged to be dead in a cage on the edge of the shelf, suddenly moved.

His heart suddenly jumped up. Although reason kept telling himself that he could not make a judgment so early, Robert still couldn't control it.

Get close to the cage and bent down to observe the mouse in the cage.

All the mice fell off after being infected with the KV virus. The pupils lost the due feedback to the strong light stimulation. The muscles on the body became much solidified, and the skin seemed to have been freed from the torture of illness.

The hairless mouse was quietly and curiously shaking its nose in the cage just like before being caught injected with the virus.

In addition, the color of this hairless mouse is slightly different from that of other hairless mice.

After Rob carefully observed the hairless mouse, his expression showed a little more expectation. He took out a small flashlight and shone the quiet hairless mouse, and recorded: "Local pigment recovery, slight pupil contraction, GA-391 serum compound No. 6, the next step is to conduct human tests."

His experiment is to turn those zombies infected with KV virus back into humans, so the human experiment mentioned here certainly refers to catching zombies for experiments!

"You have to hold on, No. 6..."

He tapped the glass plate of No. 6 twice with his fingers, and Robert left the laboratory with a nervous and expectant mood.

After returning to the first floor, I found Sam squatting at the entrance of the underground laboratory waiting for him, and rubbed his dog's head, "I know you're looking forward to it, let's go!"

Put on his favorite black coat, put on the shoes he wore when he went out, and took the discs he rented from the audio-visual store yesterday, and Rob walked to the door.

There is a wooden wardrobe at the entrance. When the cabinet door is opened, a row of guns and bullets appear.

There are also some keys and maps hanging behind the cabinet door. Take Sam's favorite balls, take the keys from the audio and video store, and finally there is the M6920 rifle that is most used and is the most complete of accessories.

After getting ready to go out, Robert took his gun and opened the door. When he saw the bright sunshine outside the door, he couldn't help but pause and looked at the stone arches that were shining white by the sun in the distance. If it was before the end of the day, it would be a good weather.

...

Drive out of the villa area, enter the city where weeds can be seen everywhere, and arrive at the audio and video store he often goes to.

Two dummies were placed at the door of the audio-visual store. When Robert took out the key to open the audio-visual store, he accidentally looked at them and said in surprise: "Hey! Good morning Maggie, Good morning Freid~! What are you doing here so early? Your clothes look good, Freid, don't wrinkle them!"

While speaking, he had already opened the store door, said "See you later" to the two of them, and walked into the audio-visual store.

There are also many dummies in the audio-visual store. On the left side of the entry shelf, there are three dummies. They are dressed up as a family with their sons to buy videos.

Rob smiled and raised his hand to greet them silently, as if he could hear the warm greetings of the three of them, and the smile on Rob's face became even brighter.

There was also a box of discs in his outer pocket, which Rob rented when he last came, because he saw two ladies on the shelves, so he deliberately asked Sam to stay where he was not to follow him.

Walking into the row of shelves easily and naturally, Robert put the discs in his pocket back to the previous position.

Suddenly, he noticed a girl on his left, who would often go between the shelves to look for some romance films.

Rob showed a youthful and shy expression like a pure boy. He stole a glance at the girl many times, trying to muster up the courage to chat with her, but he was afraid of being rejected. He couldn't even stand his clumsy look.

After randomly selecting a video, he walked towards the counter.

Say hello to the familiar cashier Hank, hoping to learn the girl's name from the side, "Good morning, Hank! I watched half of the movie G lead, hey, who is that girl over there?"

The dummy's vision was locked on the table, wearing a baseball cap, and could not see his face clearly.

The expression on his face slowly disappeared. He had not thought about the name of the girl in his mind, so Hank could not answer his question...

"Forget it, see you tomorrow!"

Giving Hank a last smile, Robert took Sam and left the video store. He came to the nearby park again to collect the corn he had planted in the field.

While picking, he did not forget to think about how to say hello to the girl, and decided to say hello to the girl tomorrow.

After picking the corn, Robert came to a high-end apartment area again, took out the map and began to determine today's search target.

He kicked the door of a room in the apartment with a gun, and Sam, who cooperated well, entered the apartment first. After a simple search, he made sure there was no danger in the apartment and called out to show safety.

After praising Sam, Robert began to search for useful supplies in the apartment. When he passed by the door of a room, he saw a note posted on the door.

It says: For Lucy, don't open it before Christmas!

Rob pushed open the door and saw a room dressed up very beautifully and full of childishness. After a few trembling eyes, he gently closed the door again.

Leaving the apartment, turning on the AM channel to play aid information, and you can receive his aid information from the AM channel as long as you are on the on-board radio station in New York City.

After filling the car with gas, Robert drove to the dock on South Street, and took the paper materials from GA-391 to prepare for theoretical argumentation and analysis.

I pulled open the chair and sat down, took out the documents from my briefcase, and wanted to take the pen on the table, but found that the pen was missing.

"Where did my pen go?"

After searching around the table, he didn't see it. Finally, Robert looked at the "housing registration book" on the table and found that its face seemed to be tilted.
