~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Barcelona in the Mediterranean, we head north all the way to the southern coast of the Baltic Sea, but the sea voyage of Port Ze is about 3,000 nautical miles. This is not much closer than the 3,400 nautical miles of voyage from London to New York.
If the "King" average speed is 7 knots and 168 nautical miles per day, it may only take 18 days to reach its destination, Danze Freeport.
However, this is just a theoretical reference value for a smooth journey. It does not take into account the various storms, storms, waves and other bad weather factors that are very easy to encounter during the sailing; similarly, the rest time of each parking supply point is not calculated.
Under normal circumstances, a first-class large battleship like the flagship "King" takes about 23 days to complete a long journey of 3,000 nautical miles.
Unfortunately, among the more than 20 ships in the advance fleet, there are only two large battleships, and the others are 5 cruise ships and more than 10 transport and supply ships. Among them, the average speed of many transport ships is only half that of the flagship "King" (less than 4 nautical miles), which in turn lowered the navigation speed of the entire fleet.
According to the conservative predictions of the Warsaw Parliament, after the Crown Prince Desay and his advance fleet sailed out of the port of Barcelona in late May, they will successfully arrive at the French Free Port of Danze at the latest 50 days later, around July 12.
But in fact, on July 10, the entire advance fleet still cruised near the North Sea, with roughly located at the Skaglak Strait between the Jutland Peninsula and the southern end of Norway and the southwestern Sweden.
This Skaglak Strait connects to the North Sea in the west, and connects the Baltic Sea through the Katgat Strait and the Ore Strait in the east. It is an important channel for the Baltic coast countries to the North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. It is about 300 kilometers long from east to west, with a width of 11 to 130 kilometers. The narrowest is between Cape Grenin at the northern end of the Jutland Peninsula and the Swedish Mastrand Island, and is only 65 kilometers wide.
Shortly after leaving the Port of Rotterdam last month, General Bomay, the acting commander of the fleet, ordered all officers and soldiers of the entire fleet to conduct four weeks of high-intensity practical training in the Beihai area, and tortured a group of sailors to death and suffer. Even the officers and soldiers of the Guard Brigade, which were not a naval system, could not take any leisure time. They either played the role of the Marine Corps and fought with the illusion enemy ships; or went down to the sea, rowed a traffic boat, and served as the vanguard of island landing operations.
Although General Bomai issued the training task to all officers and soldiers, the mastermind behind the root cause was Desai himself.
In addition to trying to quickly improve the combat effectiveness of the naval fleet and the marines through practical exercises, in fact, more consideration is that the Polish crown prince is no longer willing to land on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea too early.
One reason is that Desai needs to leave enough time for Dr. Kava and his wedding party, and fortunately, the palace in Dresden will carry out that secret responsibility before making the next decision;
Another sudden reason was that Desai received an intelligence from the Military Intelligence Bureau that some members of the Polish House of Representatives were secretly instigated by certain forces. These people were unwilling to wait until the name of the Polish Kingdom was restored to let Andrew Desai perform a king's crown prince's coronation ceremony in the ancient and solemn Cathedral of St. John, but continued to serve as the regent as the crown prince.
To put it bluntly, it is to make Desai the poor Prince of Wales second, follow the British method, use the lower house of parliament to try its best to weaken the authority of the Regent, and continue to maintain the noble parliament as the supreme authority of the Kingdom of Poland.
Desai was extremely angry about the despicable behavior of the Warsaw Parliament to go back on his word.
In order to realize Poland's wish to restore his country, Desai had to bear the pain of saying goodbye to Litisia and Isabella little, leaving Catalonia's comfortable and happy life, and traveling thousands of miles from the Mediterranean to the Baltic Sea;
In order to exempt Poland from the military threat of the Russian Empire, Desai formed two huge fleets in a very short time and was brought by the most elite guard brigade just to help the Poles cope with the threat of coming to the barbaric kingdoms in the East;
For the revival and interests of Poland, Desai was willing to smuggle Poland's surplus food to Britain at the risk of being reprimanded and punished by Emperor Napoleon; he also drew hundreds of millions of francs from the Mediterranean Bank to create international relations that are beneficial to Poland, develop domestic economy, train backward Polish troops, and rescue displaced children...
But now, the ungrateful Poles seem to have forgotten the various promises they sent to the Crown Prince Desay, and wanted to use a regent with great restrictions on power to dissuade him.
Therefore, Desai will never let those conspirators succeed.
Since you can't get it, no one can want it.
When Bomay told the Regent that the advance fleet needed to further strengthen the practical training at sea, Desai agreed without hesitation, and he also took the initiative to include his guard brigade in the practical training; in terms of time, the original two weeks were extended to four weeks.
On the one hand, Desai sent his own messenger to the Polish House of Commons with a strong wording ultimatum: If within two weeks the noble parliament could not resume the December 1810 resolution, that is, when the Grand Duchy of Warsaw was renamed the Kingdom of Poland, the Crown Prince Desai would be crowned King of Poland. Then his ship formation would never sail into the Baltic Sea, but would turn back.
On the other hand, Desai also ordered the agents of the Military Intelligence Agency lurking in Russia, requiring them to try their best to incite the radical Russian side to incite Tsar Alexander I to instigate military provocations against Poland on the east bank of the Neva River, the greater the momentum;
Secondly, Desai wrote to his close friend Prince Eugen, asking that the Governor Danze not to rush to Danze immediately after leaving Paris, but deliberately delayed the time halfway, and ignored the various rescue requests of the Poles;
At the same time, Talleyran will also receive a secret telegram from Desai, the former will be responsible for attracting a group of diplomats including France, Austria, Saxony and other countries, and collectively protest and condemn the irrational behavior of the Polish parliament.
...
After all the preparations were completed, Desai was at the entrance of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, in the Skaglak Strait, quietly waiting for the final reply from Warsaw.
The Polish chief guard who had learned the truth, Lieutenant Girlovsky asked his monarch with concern, "Your Highness, do you really abandon the suffering Poland and the Polish people living in suffering."
Desai looked solemn, without saying a word, never giving a positive reply.
In his heart, he certainly did not want to go back to Catalonia in such a shame, allowing the Polish throne that was within reach to slip away from his fingertips, and then became a joke for the monarchs of Europe after dinner.
However, for a long time, Andrew Desay, who was accustomed to the power in his hands, was reluctant to become a living puppet at the mercy of others. He was worshipped in the inner courtyard of the deep palace as a political puppet, and let the great ambitions in his heart be wasted.
Whenever I think of this, Desai develops a little resentment towards Count Koshichushko, who is far away in Warsaw.
With his lofty status and great reputation as the "Polish liberator", he has not been able to win over and convince those rebellious noble members of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw. Today, the backbone forces supporting the Crown Prince of Desay have not won a simple majority in the middle of the Lower House of Warsaw.
And Major Adam Koror! Desai felt that he seemed too merciful to his fellow Polish compatriots.
The Alpha Special Forces, led by Captain Simmon Koletsky (promoted), were specially used to eliminate those stubborn and hard political enemies in Poland who were fighting against him.
But in fact, Major Korol used several Alpha squads to assassinate the leaders of the Prussian rebel forces, or sneaked into Lithuania and other places to get rid of Polish spies who secretly defected to the Russians, but turned a blind eye to the real danger.
Perhaps, Koshiciusko and Korol both had to do their best, but Desai demanded a satisfactory result, not a complaint about difficulties. So on the second day after receiving the report from the Military Intelligence Bureau, Desai wrote a letter without mercy to reprimand the two of them for being unfavorable, which made him embarrassed. In addition, he also took back Major Korol's supreme command over several Alpha troops.
In the future, Desai will send people to pass the various orders directly to the tactical commander and Captain Koletsky.
