Chapter 8 Assassination

Jack knew where to go to find Gallo's people.

Or, he knew where the stronghold of "Qianming" was.

Although Qianming's headquarters has been in many cities over the years, the cover they use is the same - a textile factory.

This is a tradition left by Enzo Ducho, known as "Mingd Butterfly", who was known as "Mingd Butterfly", after his death, the later leaders of Qianming continued to use it.

As a person who has been in the killer industry for decades, Jack is clear about this kind of information even if he has no intersection with Qian Ming people.

Therefore, after leaving Angel's residence, he locked his destination in the only textile factory in Naples.

Since there was no car and it was not easy to take a taxi in the early morning, Jack originally planned to go to a place far away from Angel's house to "shun" one.

Unexpectedly, he was lucky. After walking out of two blocks, he happened to encounter a rental car parked on the side of the road.

Jack walked over and knocked on the car glass, woke up the driver who was dozing off in the car. After a few words of anger, Jack came up.

However, when the driver heard that Jack was going to be in the suburbs, he immediately stepped down again.

After some bargaining, Jack and the other party agreed a price that both parties could accept, and then the driver set out without placing a watch.

The car was heading east. After about forty-five minutes, a hint of white appeared in the sky ahead.

However, Jack did not see this scene because he took advantage of the time of the car to close his eyes and rest...

He is indeed tired.

Since meeting Angel in the early morning yesterday and being raided by Marino and the others, Jack has not slept seriously anymore.

At that time, he left Marino's living mouth and attracted an ambulance for him. There was obviously a reason... Although there was no useful thing from Marino's mouth, using it as bait and following the clues was a good choice.

So, after leaving the hotel, Jack hid nearby; he watched Marino be carried into an ambulance with his own eyes, and then followed the car to the Federal Charity Hospital of Naples.

Jack was planning to wait in the hospital for Marino's accomplices to appear, but unexpectedly, after waiting for a day, Gallo's men were waiting for him.

After testing Aradino and others, Jack learned that Qianming had split from the inside and understood... Marino's line could no longer be dug, so he left a few words for Aradino and the others and left the hospital.

It was during the hours when he left the hospital and came to the Baige Bar that he found a place to sniff for a while... and this was the longest rest he had in the last forty-eight hours.

"Are you lost?"

After a while, the sky was already shining. Jack, who had always sat in the back row and had never opened his eyes, suddenly spoke this sentence.

There were only two people in the car, and what he said... was said to the driver.

"Sir, are you talking to me?" The driver was stunned by his words, and confirmed softly with the volume of his voice afraid of disturbing the guest's sleep.

"Is there anyone else here?" Jack still didn't open his eyes, but his voice sounded sober and clear.

"Ha...you're joking." The driver laughed and replied, "I'm an old driver, how could I be fascinated..."

"In front of three intersections, at S268, why do you turn right?" Jack interrupted the other party's nonsense and asked directly.

"You..." The driver became a little hesitant, "...Aren't you sleeping? Why do you know..."

"You look at the rearview mirror very frequently," Jack said, "and keep confirming whether I have opened my eyes, are you?"

Now, the driver stopped responding, and his expression... gradually became colder.

"You said, what reason does a taxi driver who has discussed the price with the passengers but has not made a meter have to take a detour?" Jack asked immediately.

The driver was silent for two more seconds and replied in a deep voice: "Mr. Anderson... You are indeed well-deserved."

"Say something practical." The complimentary words seem meaningless to Jack.

"Our leader wants to see you." The driver responded.

"Who is your leader?" Jack asked.

"Olivia Ducho." The driver knew that just by reporting the leader's full name, Jack would naturally understand who it was.

When Jack heard this, he did not respond, nor did he respond...

He acquiesced to the invitation.

…………

Ten minutes later, the car stopped next to a suburban highway.

Before the driver could speak, Jack got out of the car himself because he had already heard Olivia's heartbeat in the car.

Although he has been a killer for many years, Jack is the last generation of the Ducho family, who is now seen again.

Olivia looks twenty-six or seven years old, and is similar to Angel, and her beauty is similar to the latter; however, the temperaments of the two are very different.

If Angel looks like an Eastern European hot model, then Olivia looks like an Eastern European noble.

Whether it is standing, posture, or eyes... Olivia gives people a dignified and solemn feeling; "Excellent" is the first impression she gives. Even if she doesn't say a word, it can make the person standing in front of her feel more stressed.

"I have been hiding for a long time, 'killing god'." As Jack approached, Olivia took the initiative to say hello to him.

"Why choose to meet here?" Jack basically said hello to someone he didn't know, but said things directly.

By the way, because he didn't even say hello to others, it was difficult for others to get along with him.

"The view is wide, there are no buildings nearby, and there are no bunkers." Olivia replied, "that is, it is difficult to locate, it is difficult to eavesdrop, and it is difficult to ambush."

"What should I do if I encounter a long-range sniper?" Jack said again.

"Unless my exact coordinates are leaked in advance, this assumption cannot be true." Olivia said, glanced at the taxi not far away. "Only you, me, and the three of them know about me, and this location was temporarily decided not long ago, and the possibility of being sniped is basically zero." She paused, "Let's take a step back... If there is an extreme situation, the car can also be used as our cover."

"Well..." Jack nodded, "It seems that you are very professional."

"You asked me these two questions just to see if I am professional?" Olivia twitched his long hair that was blown to his forehead by the wind, and said with a slightly frown.

"I haven't finished asking yet." Jack is really a person who doesn't know what "compassionate" is, and he is the same for women. "Why would a person as 'professional' like you arrange a... very amateur assassination like yesterday morning?"

"Your question is exactly what I want to say to you." Olivia paused for a second and said again, "The action of assassinating you was not my command..."

"Oh?" Hearing this, several assumptions flashed through Jack's mind and immediately tentatively said, "Is Marino not your person?"

"He is." Olivia replied, "but three days ago, he... and the other two brothers you killed... suddenly broke off contact with the organization."

"You mean..." Jack said, "Your people... have accepted the orders of others other than you to come and assassinate me?"

"That's right." Olivia nodded and responded.

Jack quickly recalled the few exchanges he had with Marino and said, "But in my opinion, Marino did not betray you, on the contrary... he was very loyal."

"Of course I know this," Olivia said, "so I'm very angry, very... surprised." She thoughtfully, "If I'm not wrong... someone deciphered our internal code and assigned tasks to Marino and the others in my name." She said this, her expression became very serious. "I think you understand... If this inference is true, then the problems I may face are much more serious than yours."

"Well..." Jack pondered and said, "But how do I know... are you making up stories at this moment?" He put his hands in his bag and said in a leisurely manner, "Maybe... you didn't succeed in killing me, so you ran to me to act like this, so you can not only clear the responsibility, but also win over me with the flow... Anyway, all the three people who came to assassinate me are dead. As the saying goes, there is no evidence of death, you can say whatever you want."

"But I have no reason to kill you at all." Olivia defended, "You have seen Qianming's current situation. Just dealing with a Gallo... I am already in a difficult position. How could I have the strength to chase you, the God of Killing, who has no grudges and no grudges with me, and has never been a stranger?"

She let out a long sigh and continued, "I only learned about Marino's death not long ago and the specific details of their assassination..." At this point, her tone became a little excited, "Mr. Anderson, let me say something less professional... I am also a woman, how could I use the vicious means of "Mantis"? Besides... the entire assassination is very strange, right?

"Why should I send a woman to the door first to alert the enemy? Not to mention you, you are just an ordinary killer, and you can't be fooled when facing such a suspicious situation; instead of doing so, isn't it better to attack directly?

"And... Since the person planning this action doesn't care that it will implicate innocent people, and even rare things like "Mantis", why doesn't he/she use more extreme means? For example, installing bombs in a hotel in advance and bombarding your room with RPG across the street... There are many ways to choose from with higher success rates, right?"

Her words were reasonable and very earnest; the excitement that was suppressed by cultivation was indeed like the emotions that a wronged person should have.
