Chapter 6 Finding Jackson

On the 19th of 12th, 2012, at 11:50 noon.

Los Angeles Airport, USA.

A plane departing from Itami Airport in Osaka, Japan, had just arrived at Los Angeles Airport. As the cabin door opened, a man in black-haired suit walked down and looked at the watch on his wrist.

“The end of the world is still two days away.”

The man was wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, which was Zhang Yang.

"If you don't want to take risks, you just need to arrive in China directly and sneak into the ark to complete the main mission. If you want to complete the side mission, you need to contact the protagonist Jackson Crewster. Only by following the protagonist is the safest."

Zhang Yang was thinking while looking at a map of the United States I just bought.

"And the beginning of the plot was when Jackson led his children to Yellowstone for vacation, where he met Andrian, a black doctor, and one of his target characters, Charlie."

He either went directly to Huangshi Park to wait for the rabbit, or took advantage of the moment to check it out in advance to prevent any changes in the plot from happening because of his butterfly. He looked at a young lady next to him in fluent American English, and then got a number. Don't think wrongly, it was not the beauty's private phone number, but HERTZ.

HERTZ is the world's largest car rental company, and the service is very convenient. Zhang Yang took out the black Nokia 820 and called according to the number. In fact, Zhang Yang can make an appointment online for HERTZ's thoughtful service, but he does not have a driver's license. In the United States, some international driver's licenses are not recognized and they still need to take the American driver's license.

Apart from Tokyo and Osaka, the flight ticket to Los Angeles cost about 100,000 yen. Zhang Yang had more than 180 yen left. He exchanged US dollars at the bank near the airport, about 20,000 yen, plus the 50,000 US dollars he had received from the dance hall before, a total of 70,000 US dollars.

It took no time to arrive at the location agreed with HERTZ. Zhang Yang delivered a total of US$2,500, obtained a driver's license, and a silver Chevrolet sedan. It was rented for 7 days, with no mileage limit, and the rent was 1,500 US dollars. The remaining US$1,000 was used to purchase a "special driver's license".

Zhang Yang took the driver's license, and the photo on it was Zhang Yang's face.

In these capitalist countries, as long as you have money, everything is very convenient. If you have enough money, even if you want a nuclear bomb, someone will probably be able to do it.

After spending $2,500, Zhang Yang obtained an American driver's license, and showed off a fully equipped Chevrolet, filled with gasoline, and was equipped with paid GPS. Although Zhang Yang can understand English now, he still chose the Chinese and English version.

The person in charge of the transaction with Zhang Yang was a blonde woman in her twenties. She seemed to be making pocket money. Zhang Yang felt a move and asked the girl.

"Hello, do you know what books are selling nearby?"

The blonde woman thought for a while and said uncertainly: "Oh, I don't like reading very much, and I haven't paid much attention to it. However, there seems to be a bookstore more than 200 meters east of this place."

Zhang Yang took out a hundred dollars and swayed.

"My friend asked me to help her bring a science fiction book called "Goodbye Atlantis", which is a science fiction book. I think you will know where the bookstore is, right?"

Five minutes later, Zhang Yang walked out of a small bookstore. In his hand, there was an additional book, invoice, and a note. The cover of the book was a black and white portrait of a man, with a line of English letters written next to the writer.

"JacksonCurist"

Zhang Yang smiled slightly. The name of the male protagonist in "2012" is Jackson Crewster, a third-rate science fiction writer. The book he wrote is "Farewell Atlantis" ("Farewell Atlantis"). However, his book was sold very few. Zhang Yang flipped a few pages and put it behind the ripping, and deliberately put the purchase invoice inside.

And the note in his hand had an address written on it.

“Manhattanbeach, California.”

“Manhattan Beach, California.”

There is also a list of door numbers behind: 2245.

Zhang Yang launched Chevrolet, and the silver sedan kept shuttled through the streets. After searching for a long time, Zhang Yang still couldn't find where the 2245 house number was. Zhang Yang remembered that in the movie, Jackson's home seemed to be not far from the beach, and it was a sloping street.

Jackson's other identity is the driver of Russian rich man Karpov, driving a black extended Lincoln. With these goals, Zhang Yang began to pay attention.

After passing a street, the silver Chevrolet retreated. At the end of the street, a black extended Lincoln was parked quietly. Zhang Yang's eyes lit up. Just as he was about to drive over, he felt the ground shaking. On the street of the asphalt road, a crack with a curved palm wide crack was cracked.

The residents around seemed to be frightened. At this time, Zhang Yang saw a blond man holding two luggage hurriedly coming out, with his cell phone clamped in his ears and shoulders, making a phone call.

"This is a holiday, and it's not about having an appointment with a doctor. It should be full of fun. You should know what fun is it, Kate?"

The man who was on the phone was exactly the same as Zhang Yang's backseat book. He was the protagonist of "2012", Jackson Crewster. The woman who was talking to him was his ex-wife, Kate.

Zhang Yang didn't drive over, but when he saw Jackson suddenly took down the phone, he went crazy silently. It should be that his car could not be fired.

"Pest control spray? Of course I brought it. There were a lot of mosquitoes in Yellowstone Park at this time."

Jackson hurriedly took out his two luggage, ran to his extended Lincoln, then hurriedly hung up the phone, drove out from the side.

Zhang Yang walked through the crowd watching the crack and heard an elderly white old lady wearing green pants shouting to the old man basking in the sun upstairs.

"Morrill, I said, we have to move back to Wisconsin."

Jackson's extended Lincoln was driven by Russian rich man Karpov, who was the fat man who helped his children climb the ark and fell off the cliff at the end of the plot.

Karpov is very rich, has his own private jet and has a boxer. The extended Lincoln that Jackson drives is also of excellent quality. In the movie, Jackson takes his family to escape wildly in Lincoln. Zhang Yang has enough reason to believe that if Jackson drives an ordinary sedan, he might have hung up when he has not yet persisted.

The black Lincoln was very fast, Zhang Yang followed closely in the back with Chevrolet, and the two came to Los Angeles, Jackson's ex-wife and Kate's home.

Zhang Yang parked the car far behind. Looking at Jackson's actions, a little girl and a little boy walked out of the house. They were Jackson's children. The little girl was 7 years old, but now she still wets the bed at night and uses diapers. The little boy was a little cold, and seemed to have a bad relationship with Jackson. He just looked at Lincoln and said something.

"Jackson, what's going on?"
