Section 2 Huangliang and a Dream

Section 2: A Dream of Yellow Furious ()

The sun shines directly on the top of the mountain, and a golden piece of gold is sprinkled on the empty square paved with green and white jade on the top of the mountain. The mountain wind whistles by, blowing the clouds and mists in the mountains, making it difficult to tell whether they are on the mountain or in the clouds.

In the center of the square, there are two thousand-year-old ancient trees, one pine and one cypress, standing side by side. The two trees are several people hugging each other, and they are straight into the sky. The lush and vast space makes people unable to see the top. The two trees are close to the outside, and a piece of bark is scraped off from the sky, showing their white torso. A couplet is carved on the tree, saying:

“The morning bell and evening drum awakens the world’s fame and fortune;

The sound of the Taoist chants and sutras brings back the dream of suffering and fascinating."

A few feet from the ground between the two trees, a big bell was hung. On the bell, there were three big characters "Huangliang Bell" drawn with a sword. The font was flying and phoenix, and it was extraordinary. The wooden hammer next to the bell was still shaking. It was obvious that the bell just now was the sound of the bell.

Behind the two ancient trees, there is a Taoist temple, which seems to be the guardian saint of this Taoist temple. The Taoist temple is built against the mountain and is unique, overlooking the entire Jingnan land. Under the morning sunlight, it looks magnificent like the Lingxiao Temple of the Heavenly Palace, and it is very grand and grand. There is a plaque hanging on the main entrance of the Taoist temple, with the words "Yunshan School". Looking at the handwriting, it is written by the same person as the "Huangliang Bell". There is also a couplet engraved on both sides of the main entrance, saying:

“The Tao gives birth to one, one gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things;

Man follows the earth, earth follows the sky, heaven follows the Tao, and Tao follows nature."

The arrangement of the Taoist temple is no different from those ordinary Taoist temples. The main hall is enshrined with statues of the Taoist ancestors of the Three Qing Dynasties. There is an altar table below, and the altar table is covered with dust. It seems that few people usually clean it. There is an incense burning on the table. The three pillars of fragrance are burning. Next to the incense burner are wooden fish, wooden swords, copper coins, and gossips.

Next to the statue of the Sanqing Patriarch, there is still a picture hanging. The man in the picture is wearing a Haoran scarf, a green cloth robe, a cloud boot, and a white sword tied around his waist. He is very energetic, but looking at that style, he looks dressed as a Confucian scholar.

A slightly fat middle-aged Taoist stood in front of the portrait, as if it had been petrified, silent for a long time without any movement. The Taoist was unkempt, with a yellow wine gourd hanging around his waist, and his Taoist robe patches were everywhere, with oil stains on his body, which looked very sloppy, and it looked very incompatible with the white sword on the Taoist's back. The Taoist's sword was the one on the figure on the portrait.

I don’t know how long it took, the Taoist sighed and bowed to the portrait, saying, “Guo Bucai’s 38th generation leader of the Yunshan Sect…” The Taoist said this, paused, gritted his teeth and continued, “Guo Bushou recruited Li Yi, the 39th generation descendant of the Yunshan Sect today, and hereby receive the ancestor’s recognition!”

After asking for instructions from the ancestor, Guo Bushou bowed again, turned around, sat on a chair next to the altar, and faced a child kneeling in front of the statue of the ancestor Sanqing.

This child was Li Yi who had traveled through time. After Li Yi from later generations took the jade pillow given by the Taoist in front of the Taoist temple that day, he went to sleep at night. When he woke up in the morning, he found that he had become the current child. From the fusion of his own memories, Li Yi learned that he was originally an orphan. Because of the severe drought in the north, he fled south and was about to starve to death on the side of the road. Fortunately, Guo Bushou passed by and saved himself.

Guo Bushou was alone. After seeing Li Yi, he didn't know what he thought, so he had the idea of accepting Li Yi as his disciple and inheriting the incense of Yunshan School, so he brought Li Yi to Yunshan. Today was the introductory ceremony for Li Yi.

After Li Yi learned about this, he could imagine the depression in his heart. As the saying goes, men are afraid of entering the wrong career, women are afraid of marrying the wrong man. If they really want to practice Taoism, they might be involved in the rumored sects that hold the world's great ears, such as Taoist Longhu Mountain, Buddhism Shaolin Temple, Confucian Confucius Academy, etc. This Yunshan School, a lonely family, looks very promising!

During the escape, Li Yi once heard that in the Jiuzhou cultivation world, the three religions of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism work together. The three religions form an alliance to compete for the world's largest cultivation sect. Among them, the leader of Taoism is the Tianshidao of Longhu Mountain, and the leader of Buddhism is the Zen ancestral temple on Shaoshi Mountain. The leader of Confucianism is naturally the Confucius Mansion Academy in Qufu, Qingzhou.

When Taizu of this dynasty rose up in the grassroots and fought for heroes, he received strong support from Taoism led by the Taoism, led by the Taoism of the Dragon and Tiger Mountain. Later, Taizu of this dynasty won the world and appointed Taoism as the national religion. The Tianshidao of the Dragon and Tiger Mountain was hereditary national teachers. Therefore, Taoism surpassed the two religions of Buddhism and Confucianism in one fell swoop and took charge of the world's cultivation. Today, Zi is known as the Emperor of Taoism, and he treats Taoism more favorably. The Tianshidao of the Dragon and Tiger Mountain has almost become a hall for pilgrimage in the cultivation world.

But even if an eleven-year-old child knows this, what's the use of? After all, Li Yi can't change anything, let alone Guo Bushou has saved Li Yi's life. Now he is very polite and accepts him as his only disciple. Li Yi is a person in the future, so how can Li Yi let down such a relationship?

Of course, the information obtained from the conversation between Li Yi and Guo Bushou is also a very important factor. Now the court has shown signs of being exposed. Corrupt officials are slandering people and the people dare not speak out. It’s okay. The land of Jiuzhou is full of monsters and people are robbed for food. If Li Yi really dares to go out alone, he will probably become a good meal in the belly of those monsters if he is not careful.

However, Li Yi was determined to convert to the Yunshan School, but something happened just now. When Li Yi followed Guo Bushou by the Huangliang Bell hanging on the pine and cypress trees in front of the temple, Guo Bushou pointed at the Huangliang Bell and told Li Yi about the origin of the Yunshan School:

It turned out that the founder of the Yunshan Sect, the man in the portrait in the Taoist temple, was named Lu Cuizhi, and others called Lu Sheng. Lu Sheng was originally a Confucian scholar in the Tang Dynasty. During the process of going to Beijing to take the exam, he met Lu Dongbin, the leader of the eight Taoist immortals who were traveling on earth in a hotel in Handan. During this period, Lu Sheng confided to Lu Dongbin that he was not satisfied with his talent and was poor. Lu Dongbin gave Lu Sheng a jade pillow with holes at both ends and said, "Let's talk slowly, and have a sleep first!"

Lu Sheng had a dream in his sleep. In his dream, Lu Sheng passed the imperial examination, was promoted repeatedly, married a beautiful wife and concubine, but was framed and almost died. Fortunately, the emperor rehabilitated his injustice. Lu Sheng later became a general and became a prime minister, and was granted the title of Duke, enjoying all the glory and wealth of the world, and died at the age of 9981.

Lu Sheng woke up at this time, but found that the yellow rice that the owner was cooking was not yet mature. Lu Sheng was worried about gains and losses, but Lu Dongbin said to him with a smile: "A hundred years of life are just passing by, how can it be a dream?"

Lu Sheng suddenly opened his mind and suddenly realized. He then worshipped Lu Dongbin as his teacher and began his journey of seeking Tao. Later, Lu Sheng came to Yunshan and observed the clouds on the mountain one day, and finally realized the great way and turned into an immortal. This Yunshan School was the temple passed down by Lu Sheng.

Li Yi knew this story in his previous life that it was the allusion of the idiom "Yellow Farm Dream". However, what surprised Li Yi was the jade pillow with holes at both ends that Lu Dongbin gave to Lu Sheng in the story. Didn't he also get such a pillow? And when the Taoist left, he sang "The yellow and Farm is still not ripe, and he dreamed of Huaxu" which was about?

Li Yi was almost certain that the "culprit" who made him travel through time was this jade pillow, but who was that Taoist? Li Yi had seen the portrait of Lu Dongbin in later generations, obviously not, nor was it Lu Sheng, the founder of the Yunshan School.

Although Li Yi couldn't figure it out, he also knew that there must be something in it.

Alas! Fate...

Guo Bushou tilted his clothes and said seriously: "Advisor, since you have joined our Yunshan Sect as the 39th generation descendant, then you should know some of the rules and regulations of this sect. In the future, you should also explain them to your disciples!"

Li Yi bowed and said, "Please ask the master to teach you!" Li Yi became the 39th generation successor of the Yunshan School in a confused manner, and of course he was unwilling to continue to be confused.

Guo Bushou nodded, satisfied with Li Yi's reaction, so he coughed and continued, "This sect is called Yunshan Sect, which is located on Yunshan, Taoism...the sixty-ninth blessing land." Taoism has ten cave heavens, thirty-six small cave heavens, and seventy-two blessed lands. Yunshan Sect is the sixty-ninth blessing land. In other words, it is the fourth last place. No wonder Guo Bushou introduced it to Li Yi, and was a little ashamed.

However, Guo Bushou's face is not thin. Perhaps because he was afraid that Li Yi's confidence in the Yunshan Sect, Guo Bushou quickly recovered his previous spirit and promoted the benefits of the Yunshan Sect with Li Yi, saying: "Do not underestimate this 69th blessing land of Taoism. You must know that there are more than tens of millions of famous mountains in the world. It would be great that Yunshan was selected for these lucky lands in the cave!"

This seems to be inconvincing. The former master also said this to himself. He who had just entered the Yunshan Sect's wall at that time was also dissatisfied. Guo Bushou thought of himself coming decades ago in his mind, so he glanced at Li Yi below, quickly skipped the introduction of Yunshan, and said: "Lu Sheng, the first ancestor of this sect, once learned Taoism from Lu Dongbin, who was the leader of the eight immortals of Taoism and the registered disciple of Taishang Laojun. Therefore, this sect can be regarded as the Taoist Taiqing lineage, which is far more authentic than those who occupy famous mountains and rivers."

"Taiqing lineage? Master, is there a Yuqing lineage, a Shangqing lineage?" Li Yi looked at the statue of the Taoist ancestor of the Three Qingshu who was kneeling down and worshiping. Li Yi knew about the Taoist Three Qingshu. According to legend, the ancient Pangu great god who opened the heavens and opened the earth and died. The three Qing qi turned into the Taoist Three Qing qi, namely Taishang Laojun, Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun, and Shangqing Tongtian Sect Master.

"Although Taoism is powerful, it is not a solid piece of iron." Guo Bushou rolled his eyes, looking like you were an idiot, and said, "It is best for the disciples to understand this matter, so that they will not be able to travel in the future, be plotted by those so-called "members" and lose their lives innocently, become the unjustly dead ghost, and cause our Yunshan Sect to cut off the Taoist tradition."
