Chapter 1440: Another World (154)

Because there is no oil, the entire Flower of Bloss does not have enough lighting, only a faint light comes out of the cockpit. It was Buenosky turning on an emergency light, because he couldn't see the steering wheel clearly, so he could easily get the wrong direction.

Fortunately, there are many stars in the sky. Although the starlight is weak, it gathers a lot. The deck of the Flower of Bloss is not dark. At least, Pang Xiaonan can still see Oda Lima's handsome face clearly.

"Professor Lima Otani, why don't you go back to the cabin to rest?" Pang Xiaonan meditated on the deck, preparing to absorb the spiritual energy, but Lima Otani next to him did not move for a long time, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.

"I want to sit again." Lima Oda sat next to Pang Xiaonan without hesitation.

"Pang Xiaonan, what are you going back this time?" Lima Xiaotian looked at Pang Xiaonan's face with concern. After the training of New Bloss, Pang Xiaonan's face became more and more tenacious.

"Don't think about going back first, leave the Bloss Disc first." Pang Xiaonan was not as optimistic as Lima Oda. He could not take it lightly if he was still in the Bloss Disc for a minute.

"I mean, if we return to China, what do you want to do?" Lima Oda experienced life and death this time, and suddenly she was full of yearning for a stable life.

"I'd better go back to school to go to school." Pang Xiaonan didn't even think about it. He was originally a student. Although he had not attended a few classes, he still had to fulfill his obligations.

"You said you went back to school, do you believe it yourself? You don't look like a student at all!" Xiaotian Lima has also taught many years ago. Someone who said that a teacher would believe it, but she wouldn't believe it even if she was a student.

"You said that, you can investigate my academic status. I am a college student from a prestigious university, a pride in heaven, and I have a job assignment after graduation. Even if I go in, I have a seniority..." Pang Xiaonan was actually very proud of his identity as a student at the Dongli Military Academy at the beginning of school. Of course, it is not bad now.

"You are a student on the surface, but in fact you are a Taoist priest, right? Your family must be a Taoist family." Xiaotian Lima had long suspected Pang Xiaonan's Taoist identity. Judging from his conversation and martial arts, he was undoubtedly a Taoist heir.

"Haha, you can see this," Pang Xiaonan touched the back of his head and used a trick. "That's right, I'm the 77th generation successor of the Taoist party, Pang Xiaonan is it!"

"Haha, I'll just say that you must be a Taoist. Tell me honestly, can you Taoist people get married and have children?" Lima Xiaotian always felt that Pang Xiaonan's attitude towards children was a bit strange. Today she finally got the opportunity to find out.

"It seems that you have some misunderstandings about Taoism. Today I will popularize Taoism knowledge for you." Pang Xiaonan glanced at Lima Xiaotian meaningfully. He didn't know whether the secular people he talked about could understand.

Taoism is a native Chinese religion, with Taoist thought as its highest belief. Taoism is actually a religion formed by religiousizing Taoist thoughts that originated in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and transforming the founder and heirs of Taoist doctrine. Taoism is worshipped by multiple gods, and the gods respected by gods personalizes Taoism's belief in Taoism. Taoist priests are priests of Taoism. For a long time, many people have always had questions about whether Taoist priests can get married and have children. We might as well explore this issue from the history of Taoism's development.

Taoism breathes and share the same fate with the Chinese people. Taoism is closely linked to Chinese history. Taoism is also divided into many schools with the changes in Chinese history, the earliest of which should be the Maoshan School. Mao Ying, Taoist priest in Xianyang, Shaanxi, and his younger brother Mao Gu, Mao was determined to collect herbs and refine alchemy in Juqu Mountain to save the world and the people. The people felt their merits, so they changed the mountain to "Maoshan". The three brothers of Mao family were called the founders of Maoshan Taoism. The three true kings of Sanmao were enlightened in Maoshan and opened the Maoshan Taoism School.

Three hundred years after the founding of the Maoshan Sect, in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Lu usurped the sect established by Zhang Xiu, called the Five Doks of Rice, also known as the Heavenly Master. He respected Laozi as his ancestor and took the Tao Te Ching as a classic. He established a separatist regime in Hanzhong. Zhang Jiao also established a Taiping Road in the Central Plains region, took the Taiping Jing as a classic, developed believers and led the vigorous Yellow Turban Uprising. After the uprising was suppressed, Taiping Tao disappeared.

The popularity of metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties provided a good development space for the spread of Taoism. The theoretical basis of Taoism was enriched and sublimated. The famous Taoist masters Ge Hong and Tao Hongjing enriched the Taoist theory of immortals and cultivation, constructed the Taoist genealogy of immortals, and promoted the development of Taoist theory. At the same time, they also learned from each other's doctrines and theories in confrontation with foreign religions such as Buddhism.

Taoism developed to its peak during the Sui and Tang dynasties, especially in the Tang Dynasty. The Tang Dynasty respected Laozi as its ancestor and worshipped Taoism as its national religion. Measures were taken to vigorously promote Taoism and improve the status of Taoism. The Shaoyang Sect of Zhongnan Mountain and Maoshan Sect became the mainstream of Taoism. The rulers of the Northern Song Dynasty inherited the policy of worshipping Taoism in the Tang Dynasty. The two emperors, Emperor Zhenzong of Song and Emperor Huizong of Song, practiced Taoist sects and built palaces and enthroned gods. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the talismans and Taoism were prosperous, and the Maoshan Sect, which had many high-minded Taoisms, was the strongest. The Quanzhen Sect also quietly rose at this time.

During the Southern Song, Jin and Yuan sects, Taoism was divided seriously and many sects were numerous. Qiu Chuji, the founder of the Quanzhen Long Sect, was admired by Genghis Khan, and called him a "god" and worshipped him as a national teacher. He was in charge of Taoism in the world, laying the foundation for the great development of Quanzhen Taoism. Quanzhen Sect became the mainstream of Taoism in the north. In the south, the Maoshan Sect, Taiyi Dao, Shenxiao Sect, Qingwei Sect, Donghua Sect, Tianxin Sect and other talisman Taoism sects continued to develop, forming a new Taoist sect - Zhengyi Dao.

After the Ming Dynasty, Taoism gradually moved towards secularization and folkization. Many Ming Dynasty emperors respected Taoism, which made the prosperity of Taoism reach its peak. The official divided Taoism into Quanzhen, one or two factions. After the Qing Dynasty, Taoism declined with the suppression of Manchu rulers.

From the history of the development of Taoism, before the emergence of Quanzhen Buddhism, Taoism was always a very secular religion. Most Taoists practiced medicine to help the world while cultivating immortals and asking about Taoism. In addition, there was no prohibition on getting married and having children. The taboos for marriage should be the dispute between Buddhism and Taoism during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and Taoism and Buddhism learned from each other in doctrine theory. However, at that time, it was only a theory of precepts and did not have a substantial impact. The Quanzhen Sect, which accepted this strict theory of precepts, completed the construction of the theoretical system in the Tang and Song dynasties, and developed to the peak in the Yuan Dynasty with the favor of rulers.

In fact, before the Jin and Yuan Dynasty, there was no requirement for Taoist priests to become monks or not, and basically Taoist priests would not become monks. The Taoist priests could not be married. In fact, the Taoist priests passed down by Zhang Lu all inherited the Dharma as their relatives. After the establishment of the Quanzhen Sect in the Jin Dynasty, there was a system of monks (i.e. Qiu Chuji's precepts system). The Taoist priests who did not get married, vegetarian, lived in Taoist temples, men were Taoist priests, and women were Taoist nuns. The characteristics were: they all had long hair, tied up their hair on the top of their heads, tied into a bun, and could wear a crown, and male Taoist priests had to have beards. However, Zhengyidao did not have such requirements. Zhengyidao Taoist priests could get married and eat meat, and only when doing rituals were performed must be carried.

Therefore, even in terms of doctrines and rules, only Taoist priests of Quanzhen Sect prohibit marriage. Most other Taoist schools do not have such constraints.

Lima Oda listened with relish. She did not reject religion, especially the local religion in China. Taoism is a sect that everyone likes to hear. If you don’t know that the Taoist priests have great supernatural powers, people will say that you are ignorant.

Pang Xiaonan paused and continued to talk about Taoist orthodoxy.

Zhang Lu's grandfather Zhang Ling was the founder of Taoism in the strict sense, that is, the ancestor of the Five Doks of Rice, so he was respectfully called Zhang Daoling by later generations.

Zhang Daoling, whose courtesy name is Fuhan, was the tenth-generation grandson of Zhang Liang, a founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty. "The Family of Tianshi of Han" records: Liangsheng does not doubt, does not doubt, and gives birth to high, and high gives birth to unwanted, and Wuwang gives birth to liren, and liren gives birth to Hao, Hao gives birth to Gang, and Dashun gives birth to Daling. Born on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month of Jianwu in Fengxian County, Guangwu of the Han Dynasty, his mother dreams of Kuixing falling, feeling pregnant. The room was full of strange fragrance, and the whole month did not disperse, yellow clouds covered the roof, and purple qi filled the courtyard. He was extremely intelligent since childhood, and read the "Tao Te Ching" at the age of seven. He was well-versed in astronomy, geography, and books on Heluo prophecies and divination. When he was a scholar of the Taixue, he was well-versed in the Five Classics. Later, he sighed: "None of these books can solve the problem of life and death!"

So Zhang Daoling abandoned Confucianism and changed his life to the way of life. Zhang Zu was twenty-five years old and once served as the commander of Jiangzhou. However, he was in the government affairs and was determined to be a purse of the Qingxu. Soon he lived in seclusion in Beimang Mountain in Luoyang. He thought about learning Taoism. After practicing for three years, a white tiger held a jade talisman and came to his place. In the early years of Yongyuan, Emperor He of Han was appointed as the Grand Tutor and was also named Marquis of Ji County. Three edicts were issued, but Zhang Zu refused. He said to the envoy: "Life is only a hundred years old. Time flies and passes in a flash. His parents are kind to their parents, and their wives and concubines are also loved by them at any time. Who will see the grace of the king and ministers for a long time? Please tell the emperor that as long as they are quiet and have few desires and do nothing, the world will naturally be stable. What is the use of me? I am determined to avoid the noise and harassment of civil affairs near the suburbs of Kyoto, Zhang Zu decided to travel to famous mountains and rivers, and visited Taoism and seek immortality.

Zhang Zu had traveled to the Huai River south and lived in Taiping Mountain in Tongbai. Later, he and his disciples Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng crossed the river south and lived in Yunjin Mountain, Guixi County, Jiangxi. The mountains and rivers are beautiful and the scenery is quiet. It is a place where ancient immortals live. Zhang Zu built a hut on the mountain and built an altar to refine elixirs. After three years of divine elixirs were formed. Dragon and tiger appeared, so this mountain was also called Longhu Mountain. At that time, Zhang Zu was 60 years old, and later moved to Heming Mountain, Sichuan, and felt that the stone cranes were roaring for a long time.

On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month of the first year of Han'an, the legend of Emperor Shun of Han, the Taishang Laojun descended to Shu and taught Zhang Zu's "Taiping Cave Ji Jing", "The Twenty-Fourth Grade of Zhengyi Alliance", the Sanwudu Gong jade seal, the male and female killing evil sword and other scriptures, magic tools, and appointed him as the Heavenly Master, instructed the Heavenly Master to carry out the power of Zhengyi Alliance, to eliminate demons and save the people. So in July of the second year of Han'an, the Heavenly Master climbed Qingcheng Mountain, met the eight ghost commanders, fought against all the ghosts, subdued the demons from heretofore.

The Heavenly Master is completely mysterious. The Taoist Dharma is unparalleled, and all demons cannot be defeated, and they are willing to convert to the right path. So the Heavenly Master ordered the ghosts and gods of the five directions and eight tribes to make a vow under the Yellow Emperor's altar in Qingcheng Mountain. People are in the world of the world and ghosts are in the dark, so the Six Heavenly Ghost King is imprisoned in the northern Yin Fengdu City, and the eight ghost commanders are exiled to the border areas of the Western Regions. From then on, the demons are subdued and the people are happy. To this day, there are still ancient sites such as the Heavenly Master fighting with the ghost commanders.

The Heavenly Master subdued demons and saved sentient beings. The people in Shu were very moved and were willing to listen to the teachings of the Heavenly Master. So the Heavenly Master established the twenty-four rulers, recruited disciples, and educated the people. On September 9, the first year of Yongshou of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty, in Quting Mountain, Chicheng, Sichuan, the Jade Emperor sent envoys to hold jade books and appointed Tianshi as Zhengyi Zhenren. The Heavenly Master Shishou was 123 years old and ascended in Yuntai Mountain, Cangxi.

Zhang Daoling, originally named Zhang Ling, was originally a scholar of Taixue. He was studious, proficient in the Five Classics, and was well-versed in the Way of Huang-Lao. He was able to access the books of the Te Ching and Heluo Tu at the age of seven. He became a knowledgeable man. Later, he abandoned his official position to study Taoism and founded Zhengyi Mang Weidao, abbreviated as Zhengyi Dao. During the reign of Emperor Shun of Han, the Zhengyi Dao was founded in Heming Mountain in the first year of Yongshou during the reign of Emperor Shun of Han. Taishang Laojun "teached the three-day master Zhengyi Zhenren", called himself "Three-day master Zhengyi Zhenren", and compiled 24 Dao books. During the reign of Emperor Huan of Han, he ascended in Lingtai Mountain (also known as Tianzhu Mountain) in Cangxi County, Sichuan. It is said that he was 123 years old and Taoism called "Zu Tianshi". It is said that the first generation of Tianshi master Zhang Daoling learned Taoism from Taishang Laojun, and was taught by Laojun personally, and was unique and powerful.

The Taoist school created by Zu Tianshi was called Zhengyi Alliance and the Tao, abbreviated as Zhengyi Dao. However, because those who follow the Tao must produce five dou of rice. At that time, it was also called the Five Dou of Rice. In fact, it was mostly used as a derogatory name. However, in the junior high school textbook, it was called the Five Dou of Rice Dao. Zhang Daoling, in addition to calligraphy talismans to cure diseases and expel evil and disasters, established twenty-four religious activity centers in the Bashu area, namely twenty-four treatments.

The Taoist people went to study Taoism regularly and prayed. His grandson Zhang Lu had an army at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period and established a separatist regime in Hanzhong. He also used the power of the regime to promote some social and sectarian propositions of Zhengyidao. For example, those who committed crimes were not punished with severe punishment, but were punished three times before being punished. The punishment was also lighter, and he was generally asked to build roads. At the same time, a righteous house was set up on the road, and rice and meat were placed inside, so passers-by could measure their stomachs and eat.

These measures created a relatively relaxed living environment for the people in the chaos in the world, and thus gained the support of the local Han and ethnic minorities. Later, Zhang Lu surrendered to Cao Cao, and the separatist regime could no longer exist. Cao Cao moved the power of Tianshidao to the north, but allowed the Zhengyimengwei Taoism to be retained and spread to the mainland.

"No wonder the Tianshi's current surname is Zhang. It turns out that he can get married and have children." Lima Oda knew that the descendants of Taoism are generally called Zhang Tianshi, and it turns out that this is the reason.

"Yes, Taoism depends on the sects. Some sects cannot get married, while others must be passed on to the family line." Pang Xiaonan quoted an original saying in Taoist thought, "Taoism talks about abstinence, which is not like the abstinence in some religions. This is the specific manifestation of the way of humanity in Taoism."

"Then do you think the party can get married or not?" Xiaotian Lima looked at Pang Xiaonan with her head tilted, and she took Pang Xiaonan's words seriously.

"Well..." Pang Xiaonan just said casually. In fact, he didn't know what the rules of the Dao party were. He knew that Wang Lang, who competed with him in the Dongli Military Academy's mixed martial arts competition, was a Dao party. "We have no strict regulations on the Dao party, so we should be able to get married."

"Why, you are the authentic successor. You don't know if your sect can get married?" Lima Oda was a little surprised and began to doubt Pang Xiaonan's identity.

"I'm still young, so I haven't asked my master about this question yet." Pang Xiaonan had to whisper.

"Hmph, you are still young, I think you are not old at all." Lima Oda began to feel a little sleepy, almost nodded and leaned against Pang Xiaonan's shoulder and was about to fall asleep.

"Professor Lima Oda, I think you are tired too, so why not take a rest in the cabin early." Pang Xiaonan didn't want to have a beautiful woman next to him while practicing, which was too distracting from his attention.

"Well, okay, I'm really sleepy, I'll go back first. You can rest early." Oda Lima experienced various dangers during the day and was very nervous. This time she was really tired.

When Xiaotian Lima returned to Cang, Pang Xiaonan was about to meditate, Professor Li Sanming came out.

"Professor Li Sanming, why are you not resting?" Pang Xiaonan felt that Professor Li Sanming had something to ask him.

"Pang Xiaonan, I can't sleep," Li Sanming walked to Pang Xiaonan and sat on the ground. "Remembering everything that happened in New Blos these days, those bloody scenes appeared in my mind like a movie."

"Don't think too much, Professor Li Sanming, it's all over." Pang Xiaonan knew that ordinary people had experienced so many unforgettable scenes, which was indeed a great psychological torment.

"I can't control my thoughts." Although Professor Li Sanming has lived in the wild for quite some time, he has a unique experience of thinking about New Bloss.

Pang Xiaonan took a deep breath and thought it was sucking spiritual energy. "Try not to think about it. I know this experience is cruel to you. After all, it happens, so let it go."

As the captain of the scientific expedition team, I feel uncomfortable when I see the scientific expedition team members around me die one by one.

"I ask you, what happened during the time you left us?" Professor Li Sanming got to the point.

"It's nothing, it's just like the situation I encountered before. I encountered several waves of monsters, and they were even more powerful monsters, so Wu Yongqiang died." Pang Xiaonan did not mention the gorilla matter according to his plan.

"How did he die?" Professor Li Sanming felt strange from the beginning, why only three people in the four-person group came back, and the one who died was the Black Mamba guards.

Logically speaking, Lima Oda and Bridge Morgan's combat power are not as strong as Wu Yongqiang, and it is also the one between Lima Oda and Bridge Morgan.

Even if Bridgemorgan has armor protection, Lima Oda should be the one who is most likely to sacrifice, but Lima Oda came back intact, and Wu Yongqiang could not even see his body.

This is something that anyone with independent thinking ability will think about, let alone a well-thought scientist.

"This is the thing. We came to a lake. Wu Yongqiang and I went to the woods by the lake to find food," Pang Xiaonan began to tell the cause of Wu Yongqiang's death, of course, skipped some content. "When we came out of the woods, we disappeared from Mr. Bridgemorgen and Professor Lima Otani, so we continued to walk forward and search for them, even if it was a corpse, but we didn't find them after walking for a long time. Later, we encountered a group of prehistoric rhinos. Under the impact of the rhinos, Wu Yongqiang was stepped into the ground and sacrificed like that."

"You mean, he was trampled to death by a rhino?" Professor Li Sanming's mind was filled with scenes of rhino herds fighting tigers and wolves on the tropical prairie.

Pang Xiaonan nodded and added: "Yes, there are too many rhinos, I can't handle it and I can't save him in time." Although Pang Xiaonan was a little regretful that he had not saved Wu Yongqiang, he knew that life and death have a life, and perhaps this was Wu Yongqiang's best destination.

"Is it the kind of rhino we have seen in normal times? Or is it much bigger than those rhino?" Professor Li Sanming was very interested in the rhino described by Pang Xiaonan. Since Pang Xiaonan couldn't handle it, it means it was a very powerful species.

"It's much bigger, and my body is nearly 3 meters tall, even bigger than an elephant." Pang Xiaonan gestured at the height of the rhino, feeling that it seemed to be smaller.

"Oh, that's no wonder." Such a large rhino may not even be a match for dinosaurs, let alone humans.

"Then why did you find Lima Oda and Bridge Morgan again in the end? Why did they disappear?" Professor Li Sanming needed to figure out this experience. He was the captain of the scientific expedition team. He had to be clear about the whole process and could explain it to the public after he went back.

"According to them, they were chased by a group of hyenas, so they kept running. They ran away until they ran to the prairie and left the group of hyenas. Later, they got lost on the prairie until they met me." Pang Xiaonan didn't know how to explain this experience more perfectly. He always felt something was wrong.

"Being chased by a hyena?" Professor Li Sanming discovered the clue, "Can they both escape the hunt for a hyena?" Everyone with some common sense knows that it is impossible for a human to run past a hyena, because a hyena has four legs, while a human has only two legs, let alone this is in New Bloss.

"Well..." Pang Xiaonan scratched the back of his head, knowing where he was wrong. "It may be that the person exploded with potential in extremely dangerous situations, so the speed has accelerated. And I guess that the hyena was still a little worried during the pursuit. Maybe it was because there were their nemesis in the local area, so they were a little worried when they chased."

"You mean, there are other animals that chased them with the hyena, and they happen to be the natural enemy of the hyena?" As a rigorous scientific worker, Professor Li Sanming is trying to get this matter clear.

"It should be, otherwise why would the hyena stop chasing the grassland?" Pang Xiaonan finally tried his best to fulfill the story. "I think it may be that there is a ferocious beast in the air on their heads."

"A beast in the air? Are you talking about an eagle?" Professor Li Sanming remembered a picture. The hyena was chasing a hare, and an eagle was hovering in the air. He rushed down and took away the prey just when the time was right.

Pang Xiaonan shook his head and said, "It's not an eagle. According to Professor Lima Oda, the beast seems to be a pterodactyl."

Pang Xiaonan finally lured the dinosaur out.

"Pterodactyl, do you mean, you found dinosaurs by the lake?" Li Sanming was shocked. This was a major discovery because dinosaurs were a prehistoric beast that had survived on Hallelujah for a long time. They were more research-worthy than prehistoric pythons and prehistoric spiders.

"That's right," Pang Xiaonan looked at the calm sea and suddenly felt something was wrong. "The night before yesterday, we saw dinosaurs in the lake. Professor Lima Oda said it was a brachiosaurus. Several brachiosaurus were playing in the water, and pterodes flew over their heads, so the next day we named the lake Dinosaur Lake."

"Dinosaur Lake, Dinosaur Lake..." Professor Li Sanming murmured to himself, but there was an unconcealed excitement in his eyes. "This discovery is so amazing. I think I must come to New Bloss again in my lifetime and see the dinosaurs you mentioned with your own eyes."

"I think I'd better not come here, right?" Pang Xiaonan wanted to stop Li Sanming's idea. This was a very dangerous idea. "This time we almost wiped out all our troops, so it's better to take care of our health."

Moreover, Pang Xiaonan knew that this time it was the gorilla's men. If he got angry and destroyed these people in minutes, even if there were more troops, it would be difficult to defeat the god-like existence.

"As long as I can see the extinct dinosaurs, I will not be willing to die." As a world-renowned scientist, his greatest ideal and hobby in his life is to pursue the truth. Professor Li Sanming feels that compared with the discovery of dinosaurs, his life is really insignificant.

"Professor, don't think too much. You will see you again if you are destined to be together. Let's take a break early." Pang Xiaonan knew that he could not stop the scientists from pursuing the truth, so he had to persuade him to rest early and leave some time and space for himself to practice.

"I have one last question. You should go deep into the hinterland of New Bloss. What did you find? Why did you come back?" Professor Li Sanming felt that Pang Xiaonan must have discovered something before he came back to find the scientific expedition team.

"I discovered that the center of New Bloss is an active volcano, and we can't cross it, so I came back." Pang Xiaonan told the pre-developed story.

"Active volcano? As expected, I thought it was a good idea. This island is a volcanic island. I guess that the protective cover of New Bloss was caused by the activities of this active volcano." Professor Li Sanming nodded, quite satisfied with his original guess.

"Well, this should be the case." Pang Xiaonan made up the story himself, so he had to agree.

"Do you think we will leave the Bros Disc safely?" Li Sanming looked at Pang Xiaonan with hope.

Pang Xiaonan pursed his lips, nodded seriously, and said, "Yes, don't worry."
