Chapter 37 The Holy Lord has mercy on us! (4K 2-in-1)(2/2)

In praise of the radiant light of the "Unfallen Fire", the text of the prayers for divine power in the Book of Glory is very long, consisting of tributes reflecting the "17 Sacraments", and the melody is always written in full score - that is

There won't be the repetitive recycling of lyrics like in commercial songs. The material is constantly evolving and runs directly through to the end.

However, the "Mass in B minor" is more than that.

In order to match the thickness of this tribute, Bach directly used 9 parts to carry the "17 Sacraments". The opening is the style of the Baroque Concerto Grosso - a slow-moving rhythm, a rapidly rising melody pattern, trumpet

The loud and clear motive presentation and the repeated imitative chanting of the vocals all set the stage for a glorious and joyful atmosphere.

“Peace on earth to a people who are well pleased with the Lord!”

The second sentence of the "Original Sentence of the Gospel" is sewn into the fifth part of the song.

In order to reflect the "top to bottom" development from "God's glory" to "earthly peace", the music suddenly returns to the tranquil key of G major.

This is a choral fugue with three exposition parts, and the melody is mainly progressive.

The strings and woodwinds imitate the tones of a swaying lullaby with a dense minor continuous rhythm, while the low part continues a buzzing sound similar to that of a shepherd's bagpipe, giving it a pastoral style of harmony and tranquility.

After "Gospel Verses", the sixth part is "Five Cheers", and the second soprano appears again.

The wind instruments recede, the violins provide support, and the rest of the string section and continuo accompany the music with delicate and delicate gestures.

"We praise you."

"We praise you."

"We worship you."

"We magnify you."

The soprano melody is based on exactly the same simple material as the instrumental music.

However, a large number of supporting sounds, echoes, passing sounds and appoggios are added here to give it a gorgeous flower singing style.

With an aria in the style of a palace interior, after completing the first four items of the "Five Cheers" link (praise, praise, worship, and praise), the seventh part presents the second item of "blessings":

"We are grateful to you."

"We bless you, we bless you. Because your name is so close, people tell of your wonderful deeds."

A four-part chorus unfolds, with flutes and double brass echoing the voices.

The two themes are sometimes presented independently, imitating from bottom to top from male to female, and sometimes combined with each other to form a "double counterpoint".

The trumpet even continuously imitates the melody syllables of "Thank you, thank you", giving it a strange interlacing effect.

Part 8, duet with second soprano and tenor:

"Holy Lord, Enlightened King, Almighty Father, My Lord the Unfallen Fire."

"The only Son, Lamb of God, our First Light-giver."

A long section of flower singing, syncopation and expressive appropriation, and the imitation of "calling father and son" under dotted rhythm.

After "calling the father and calling the son", there are "three prayers".

The four-part chorus returns, and the 9th part corresponds to the first two words of "Pray for mercy" and "Pray for listening". The two flutes use a plaintive tone to promote the presentation of the single-theme canon.

The theme is repeatedly imitated through each voice and relationship, and is presented 12 times in total:

"May she have mercy on us and take away the sorrows of this world."

"May she listen to us and answer our prayers."

In the 10th part, the alto singer took the stage to perform the third item "Pray for Forgiveness", and the double brass continued to play softly.

"She is at the right hand of the Lord; she is able to forgive our sins and deliver us from evil."

The aria of this song continues the plaintive feeling of the previous song, but it is written in the rhythm of a 6/8 kig, with a jumping sound pattern and a warm and changeable excitement.

In the 11th part, the bass replaces the alto on the stage, and the ceremony changes from "three prayers" to "three declarations"——

"You alone are divine."

"Only you are a miracle."

"You alone are supreme."

From the beginning of this song, the "Glory Sutra" returns from the previous lamentation to the praise of the sun. Correspondingly, the music also returns from the gloomy B minor to D major.

Trumpets and drums sounded, flutes, double brass, strings and continuo came on stage one after another. Under Vivace's lively rhythm, a large number of depictions and symbolic techniques welcomed the return of the "Holy Trinity" chorus in the 12th part -

"With the Lord, with the Son, with the Holy Spirit!"

"Bathed in radiance, like fire!"

Luo Yin, who was sitting at the front, had been listening to the Mass attentively according to the appreciation method Fan Ning once taught, capturing and confirming the intriguing counterpoint details everywhere.

"Cracking fireworks exploded in my mind.

When the horns and drums sounded as the final song of the second part of the song "The Glory Sutra", she felt that her spirituality, which had been enriched and consolidated not long ago, showed signs of rising again!

"The Holy Sun Church is good at enlightenment, and their advantages are very easy to take advantage of. Remember to take advantage of them more."

"High-level limit? It's very simple. You don't need to wait so long."

"The division method of levels one to nine is for mystical research, not for you to climb step by step."

"unless"

The content of Fan Ning's reply came to Luo Yin's mind again, and she couldn't help but smile at the corner of her mouth, with an "ah" expression, and gently shook her head back and forth with a sense of surprise.

But realizing the occasion, she quickly covered the lower half of her face with the high collar of her windbreaker.
