Volume 19 is a complete summary, and I want to outline it when I take a day off
The Soul of Burning Steel has been writing for 3 years, 19 volumes, and 450w words. Before writing the final volume, half of it was for the ending, and half was a little reluctant. Looking back on all the changes and progress I and this book over the past so long, I feel really touched.
The theme of "Bright, Simple, Easy, Revenge, Killing, Invincible Amber Stream" starting from the first volume of Volume 1 [The Wind of the North] is the source. What I want to write is actually just an outline of about 250w words, playing the story of the game in the world. It doesn't have much regrets when changing the protagonist, so that a warrior with simple essence is happy in the other world, fighting a strong opponent, killing the person who should be killed, and then finishing the book simply and neatly.
The volume introduction client may not be able to see that the reader of this volume is [Fight if you want to fight, and if you want to defeat] is also a very simple and direct footnote. The theme is very simple, which is to fight [Fight with the Enemy]. I also decided that each volume of this book is to fight enemies with different themes.
The second volume [Hessian Tide] is also a similar idea, and it is still a simple and clear cut-and-slay theme. However, the enemy has become a monster and the natural world itself. I like this kind of resistance and battle against the world, so the theme of this volume is [Fighting with everything outside of man]. The volume introduction is [Mountains tremble, and thousands of beasts rush out from the boundless forest, like the fury of the Black Sea]. It uses the natural elements of mountains, beasts, forests and sea, but the element of "Heaven" is really not added, which is a bit regrettable.
At this time, since this book was essentially just an outline of an old book to write products from entertainment, neither the chapter title nor the content was very serious. There are many games and comic memes, which were also said to be very out of the way. So later I found that the grades were good. When I started writing seriously, the book gradually became serious. Naturally, the unattentive part in front has become the point where the book was criticized by people, which is really inadequate.
But because the results are really unexpected, I was too nervous, so in order to put them on the shelves at the time of listing, I actually dragged a long plot before and after the listing, which attracted many bad comments, that is, the third battle of Chaos Black Dragon. Looking back now, it was indeed a mistake made by too young. If I didn't drag the plot like this, if I wrote normally, the first order might be a little higher and the evaluation would be better.
The first order of the Soul of Burning Steel is 2150. This number should be a good result for the Qidian game area 3 years ago. For the person who ordered the first order of 35 or 55 in the previous book, it is a leap. And not only that, the Soul of Burning Steel has increased to 2800 in the first week of its release, and it seems that it will be a high-quality product soon.
But at this time, in the third volume [World Without Fire], I made a big mistake because I was too nervous after it was put on the shelves. I was a novice. I used to write short stories and fan stories, but I didn’t know how to develop long plots, so the pre-plots that entered another world were both stinky and long. I wrote two or three chapters when I went to the dwarf territory... I was serious about designing a lot of structural diagrams of the dwarf city at that time, but in the end I found that they were all big and the readers couldn’t see them, and I wrote them myself too watery.
Then, after entering another world, the plot of exploration is also "very boring". I myself really like writing this kind of plot of decrypting exploration and refining ruins, but if you think about it carefully, I like the ruins exploration game. It is really exciting to write this process seriously, so after the end of this plot, my pursuit immediately dropped from 2600 to 700.
Fortunately, I was a frustrated before, and 700 was considered a lot, so my mentality did not collapse. I wrote the end of the world without fire according to the outline, revealing the world setting, the inheritance of the protagonist, the python of steel, the secret behind the world, and some information about the evil god... To be honest, it is not a blow. I think I was probably hit during that period, and I played the best (at that time), and the pursuit of orders also rose back to more than 2,000, and the orders that fell back to 2,300 began to slowly rise.
The main body of this volume, my idea is to fight [First Battle with Chaos].
This is also the first time that the theme of this book is revealed, revealing the relative cycle of order and chaos. When entering a different world, the plot can also pave the way for the protagonist to go to other worlds later. But for the same volume, I vaguely discovered that the outline and writing the book seem to be a bit conflicting. The outline set in the outline at the beginning of my book is the main body in the continent of Mycrov, but I wrote it down along the outline and found that this is not a story that a world can tell completely. Mycrov has its origin, but it is not enough to carry the process of the struggle between order and chaos.
But since this idea is just a sign, the fourth volume [Abyss of the Dragon of Sin] mainly tells the story on the continent of Mycrov, and the enemy is all monsters with ulterior motives. The introduction of the volume is naturally [The stars are chaotic, and the demon Su Sheng] intends to reveal the atmosphere before the trend will change, so this volume is relatively dull, mainly talking about a few characters, and the grades do not have much ups and downs, and it is considered a volume used to lay the foundation.
Then in the fifth volume, [Star Falling Disaster], according to the outline, it is the first time I saw the "evil god" and fought the "unresistible natural disaster". The enemy is the evil god of natural disasters, and the first evil god boss to officially appear. In this volume, what I want to express is "even an irresistible natural disaster is not invincible." When winter passes, plants will still sprout, and the background of this volume is elves and gods of nature, so the introduction is [until winter passes and spring comes].
The plot of this volume is actually quite king. Looking back, I think it is a surprisingly innovative thing. It is a big adventure in another world. But I didn’t write much, so I let the protagonist come to save the scene. However, this volume has good results, and the Soul of Burning Steel has been considered a masterpiece... In fact, if the plot did not collapse, it would be a masterpiece in the first week or the second week, but I spent four months to make up for this price. When I was feeling sad, I chatted with a few author friends and said that this lesson was not bad.
In the sixth volume [The Moon of the Gloomy], because of the battle between the protagonist and the evil god in the previous volume, when I wrote this, I found that the original outline had bound me. The world of Mycrov is too small for the protagonist, and his battle should not be limited to one world. So in this volume, I completely revised the outline and replaced it with another one, which can be regarded as the outline that you see now. Some of the original stories were abandoned.
The theme of this volume is [Fighting against arrogance and betrayal]. The enemy is the traitor of the Temple of Earth in the previous life game, and the black dragon who surrenders to chaos. They all arrogantly think that they are correct and betray the protagonist and the world. The volume introduction [No one needs to be saved, because this is the choice made by everyone]. Some say that the protagonist is the idea that "everyone is his own savior" is the idea, and some say that the enemy chooses this path to the abyss, so don't want to be saved.
This volume is the end of the three most of the soul of Burning Steel, the upper, middle and lower part of my plan, the "Year of Star Falling". The protagonist strengthened his determination and belief and began to strode forward on the road to changing the world and fighting chaos. The final plot can be regarded as a good review. In addition, after taking a few big recommendations, the results of this book also began to soar.
Volume 7 [The Demon Tide is Coming] is the beginning of the second part. This part mainly tells how the protagonist achieves a legend and how he can truly change what he wants to change on the stage of the multiverse. The theme of this volume is [is a battle with the wave of the times]. The carnival of cultists and various dragon disasters brought by the coming of the demon is all the waves of the times. Defeating them is what the protagonist who wants to change his destiny needs to do.
And in the middle of this volume, my grandmother passed away, which was a big blow to me, because she cultivated my views and taught me how to be a human being. This is my private matter, but I have to say that it also affected this book, because my grandmother always hopes that I can live happily and be "like yourself", so I completely settled down and decided to devote all my energy to "writing" this thing that I like the most.
It was almost at this time that the theme of this book had nothing to do with the "bright, simple and easy revenge, killing the invincible amber stream", but became a "daily story to save the world", which was like the Western Fantasy, which was not in line with the system and the game. It was incredible. From this time on, many readers were shocked to find that this book was actually in the game category after reminding.
Volume 8 [Body of Steel] is how the protagonist achieves a legend. The theme of the story between countless people and countless oaths is [Fighting with established destiny]. This time, the protagonist did not have complete success for the first time. He did not save everyone in the world of Granthia because he wanted to save the world of Mycrov. But it is precisely because of this that he can once again strengthen his determination and forge his body of steel with oath and blood.
Volume 9 [Legend of the Gods] tells a story of inheritance. The general purpose is to tell the changes in the abyss and the Mycrov Continent. It is also the first time [Fighting with the Abyss and the Demons] Since the demon and abyss settings in my book are different from the general dnd or Western Fantasy, I think I need to spend the first half of the volume to talk about.
As for the tenth volume [The Light of the Star Sea], which is the plot of the world of stars, the theme is [Civilized Chaos Battle]... I made another big mistake in this volume.
In fact, at the beginning of this volume, the plot was quite well received, especially when Joshua was summoned to the Star Sea World, the monthly ticket reached a new high. In addition, as we all know, I am a science fiction enthusiast, and this happened to be the Star Sea plot. I was very excited to start evaporating my soul of steel, science fiction power, the power of veteran star players, and various inspirational ideas for extraordinary universe wars... Then, I wrote a "fighting scene" of nearly 100,000 to 150,000 words in succession.
Well, more than 100,000 words in a row, pure battle... When I turned around and summarized, I was also scared. No wonder I was crazy about chasing the orders at that time. From nearly 3,000 to 1,200, readers could not stand such high-intensity battles. There was even a friend who read my articles and abandoned the book, saying that he couldn't stand it... But I realized that something was wrong, so I immediately pinched it off and quickly killed the boss. I changed the plot, but it was too late at this time. The rising momentum of the book's results was completely interrupted, and the orders even fell, leaving only more than 4,400.
The author's self-satisfaction has caused such great harm to a book. To be honest, I wrote that battle myself so well. I could even continue to write 100,000 yuan, but the result was devastating, which completely defeated the possibility of the book's revival. After all, the readers who were lost at this time are basically real fans and book friends, which is different from the early stage.
Even in the next volume 11 [Gate of All Realms] and Volume 12 [Grave Development Era], the story of the dragon girl Lisa and the battle with the demon kings, that is, the battle with other orders (Black Mist) and the battle with [Other Hope Seekers (Abyss Demons)], these two volumes have good reviews, but the pursuit is maintained at around 14~1800, which is simply miserable and miserable, and the lesson is so eaten.
Until the thirteenth volume, [The World in the Shell], the story of the time promoter Fatlolve, that is, the battle with [The Battle with the Give Up Future], this volume hit a new high in monthly tickets, and the orders rose back... And I almost made a mistake in this volume, that is, some settings and ideas were not explained clearly, which made readers misunderstand the protagonist's ideas. Fortunately, I specially opened a chapter to explain it, and most people understood it.
The following plot can be regarded as a perfect ending for the part of the Soul of Burning Steel [The Demon Tide gradually rises], ending with a story that takes place in the central world where the Demon Tide gathers. After the protagonist defeats the abandoned future, he also begins to actively look for nodes that change his future destiny.
Fourteen volumes [Eternal Dark Light] talks about [the showdown between order and order]. If both sides are correct for both sides, and are pursuing their own hopes and their own eternal Dark Light, then you can only do one game, and naturally there is nothing right or wrong. There is nothing wrong with this volume, and the results are slowly rising, but it is also from this time that this book seems to be a bit biased towards science fiction...
Volume 15 [Lost Galaxy] is also a more science fiction-oriented theme. The nomads in the void and the sleeping giant god who transformed into the planetary world... This time, it was a serious [fight with the evil god], which allowed Joshua to possess the power and possibility to truly erase the evil god-level enemies. But from this volume, he realized that the evil god seemed to be essentially just a tool. These seemingly evil chaotic monsters are just corpses made up of countless sad memories.
Therefore, in Volume 16 [Eternal Deep Abyss], the theme is [Sadness and Fighting with Death] The evil god of death is the concrete embodiment of the end of the demise of all civilizations, and its essence is so rich that it cannot be solved. Countless civilizations have lost and even their names are forgotten. Joshua finally understood that the evil god cannot solve the problem at all, but only "carry and admit" this memory of infinite sorrow that belongs to the past can make everything that exists move forward.
The monthly tickets and results of this volume have also hit a new high, with a high order of 20,000, and the orders have also exceeded 5,500, and then they have remained unchanged. It has only recently risen a little, almost approaching 6,000. I estimate that the book should be able to reach 6,000 at the end of this book.
Volume 17 [Stars of the Heavens] and Volume 18 [Abyss of Tomorrow], and the just-finished Volume 19 [The Last Flame], since it is the recent plot, I will not talk about it in detail. I think what I wrote is also very clear. The themes are the battle with [Fighting with Other Civilizations of the Diverse Galaxy], the battle with [Fighting for Tomorrow] and the battle with [Fighting after Tomorrow, and the battle with the Desperate Future].
After writing this, I realized that the later I went, the fewer mistakes I could make. I have been drawing the strength of progress from my own mistakes. Although it was very expensive, it seemed to be effective.
I wrote so many summary not to say anything to the readers, but to post it to my book and warn myself not to make the same mistakes in the next book. I also have a small notebook that records these failures and errors, but it seems that only by 'narrative' of an object can I analyze it from a truly objective perspective. Otherwise, I will always think, 'It won't be next time', and I will not seriously think about 'what is wrong' and I choose the reader as this object.
I have written so much, not for water or for delaying the update, but for proving that I am really thinking about how to review all the plots of this book and then write a perfect ending and summary for the Soul of Burning Steel. Volume 20 [Soul of Burning Steel] must give a perfect ending for the story and battle of Joshua all the way. I don’t want to leave any regrets, so I do my best to do my best.
So, I'll just say it.
Please give me a monthly ticket. (Run)
