no, 255 What Jin Chan learned from his lectures (continued)

...What Jin Chan learned about the lecture on leaving the customs (continued)

Many people understand Taoist inaction why they don’t do anything, don’t do anything, and are allowed to do nothing. Of course, literally speaking, they do nothing. But after all, people are human beings, can they work without doing anything? It’s definitely not possible. Therefore, Taoist inaction cannot be explained literally.

If everyone is "inaction" in this way, there is no need for this world to exist, and everyone will just lie down and wait for death. Although it is a bit exaggerated, it is definitely the opinion of most people on the word "inaction". The first thing they do when Jin Chanzi came up was to correct the word "inaction". Everyone was interested because their understanding of the word "inaction" was a bit shallow.

When Huang Junming heard that Jin Chanzi's first topic was "Wuwei", he nodded secretly. The word "Wuwei" is a word that every Taoist believer and Taoist person will come into contact with. It is also one of the centers of Taoist thought. When Huang Junming compiled the Taoist sect, he put in a lot of effort to explain the word "Wuwei". Huang Junming was very satisfied with the first thing Jin Chanzi preached. Because this "Wuwei" is the most basic thing in Taoism.

Before Huang Junming finished his feelings in his heart, he heard Jin Chanzi say: "Huainanzi. Yuandao" says: "The so-called inaction does not first do things; the so-called inaction is done by everything, which is done by things." Therefore, after the Wei and Jin Dynasties, "inaction" gradually became the foundation of Taoist society. Similarly, Heshanggong's "Laozi Notes" claimed: "The law and way of doing nothing will benefit the spirit, and governing the country will benefit the people." The so-called "inaction" of "governing the body" should "do nothing will serve the master, do nothing will serve the teacher, be silent as if there is no one, as for inaction," so that the whole body can be removed from danger and away from blame. The so-called "inaction" of "governing the country" should be governed according to the laws of nature and the laws of social development, so that the people can benefit the people."

Jin Chanzi sang the various classics and said it was reasonable and well-founded. Taoist believers today are worth a little. Otherwise, they would naturally understand these classical Chinese. As Jin Chanzi explained the "Wuwei" from far to near, they all nodded frequently.

"How can we achieve "inaction"?" Jin Chanzi asked suddenly. Then he said, "The Master once said, "If you want to do nothing, you should avoid harm first. What should you do? Stay away from suspicion, stay away from villains, stay away from gains, and stop away from traveling far away; be careful when eating, be cautious when tongue, be cautious when making trouble, be careful when fighting, always think about mistakes, and be careful when doing good. You can also understand astronomy, geography, people, ghosts and gods, time, and numerology. This will be the same as the saints and have the same virtue as the heavens." This can be simply called the Four Fars,

The four prudences and six masters. More importantly, through inaction, you can be connected with the saints and the heavens. Therefore, "inaction" is not a passive escape from the world, but should study hard, be proactive, be knowledgeable about nature and society, and be good at dealing with interpersonal relationships. "inaction" is not about doing nothing and doing nothing; it is about acting according to the "Tao" and establishing one's destiny. You must abandon your own actions, stay away from disasters and be cautious in your actions, pursue a state of simplicity, frugality, and silence and desires."

As soon as Jin Chanzi finished speaking, the entire octagonal high platform was silent. It can be said that there were very few words like Jin Chanzi who said the word "Wuwei" so in-depth and easy to understand, and even the entire Tang Dynasty could not find a few. However, Jin Chanzi could understand Wuwei so thoroughly at such a young age. It can be said that it was quite difficult for Jin Chanzi to drink Huang Junming's words. Huang Junming seemed to think that he had said it on some occasion, but he was not very clear about the specific matter. However, Huang Junming still remembered the source of this sentence. When editing the Daozang, Huang Junming personally "wrote" several Taoist scriptures. These were all recited by Huang Junming in modern times. It was also summarized by Tang Dynasty. He took the opportunity of editing the Daozang and sent it to the Sutra Library. Unexpectedly, he was really used by Jin Chanzi. Huang Junming had to sigh at Jin Chanzi's pleasure in learning.

"After talking about the "Wuwei" Taoism, let's talk about few desires." Jin Chanzi gave a little time to let everyone sort out their thoughts, and then said, "Clearing the heart is mostly suitable for those who are connected with few desires. Many people do not understand Taoism. They believe Taoism emphasizes clear hearts and few desires, and they cannot have any selfish desires, so they do not believe in Taoism. Of course, the Taoist believe it. You all should have some understanding of this." Jin Chanzi said here and smiled slightly. Those present were really immersed in Taoism for several years. Although some of the people who have been accustomed to Taoism for a while, although some of them have just believed in Taoism for a while, since they can listen to Jin Chanzi's preaching here, it proves that they still have some experience in controlling their own **.

"Although you have some understanding of this few desires, I will talk about it briefly." Jin Chanzi saw that the people below had different expressions, so he refined his language a little, and then said: ""See simple and simple, and have few selfish desires." This is Lao Tzu's words. You must know that people cannot abandon their own desires. Even Buddhism with many precepts cannot completely control people's **, let alone us as ordinary people. The so-called "few desires" in the understanding of the Tao should be to always control personal selfish desires in the way of dealing with people. To be in the mind without being contaminated by things, to be in the movement of the spirit without being confused, to be in the mind without being instigated by nothing, to do nothing, to be silent at all times, to reach the noble state of "no desires". "few desires" is not "desireless desires". In that case, you will not be human. But few desires should be not extreme, not extravagant, not excessive. Only in this way can you keep your original heart from being invaded by external objects at all times."

Huang Junming has never told Jin Chanzi about being pure and has few desires. In Huang Junming's eyes, the so-called pure and desires that are hard to be pure and desires are understood by any Taoist, and there is no need to just catch them. But after hearing what Jin Chanzi said, it is really the case. Jin Chanzi can pay attention to what everyone knows and put it into a more complete meaning for him. Huang Junming thinks that he cannot do it.

Jin Chanzi now relies entirely on the two topics of "inaction" and "few desires" to catch the attention of Taoists and pilgrims. This kind of seeing the big things from a young age is the most appropriate thing for the public to think. If Jin Chanzi tells you something more profound at this time, I am afraid that some people may not be able to understand it. Starting from small things that people don't care about or pay attention to, it can give people a more amazing feeling. In fact, Jin Chanzi does this, and it does quite well.

"Let's talk about this third point. Many people think that Taoism is seeking to ascend to immortality, only focusing on self-cultivation, not caring about others. This is also wrong. Taoism is not wrong in seeking to ascend to immortality, but it is also wrong to cultivate oneself, but it is very wrong to say that it only carries about self-interest and ignores others. Although Xiaodao cultivates the mind and learns knowledge in the Sutra Library, he still understands some recent situation of the Heavenly Immortal Palace. So, in our Tang Dynasty, Xiaodao will not talk about Taoism for now. Let's talk about Taoism before the Tang Dynasty. You may not know what Taoism was like at that time, but Xiaodao looked up the classics and found that people might have fallen into a lot of things when reading Taoist classics. For example, Lao Tzu once said that if you provide relief to poor and make up for urgent needs, you will be famous for your own children and gain profit.

Eliminating harm means achieving success. This shows that since Lao Tzu's era, he has focused on being poor and not being anxious, and eliminating harm. I don't know why this sentence is not famous, but has been ignored by everyone in the past few thousand years. During the Jin Dynasty, Immortal Master Ge Hong also explained to his disciples: The reason why you cannot become a celestial immortal, but become a celestial immortal is because you have learned the Tao in your previous life, and did little good deeds, only want to save others, but only seek the Tao, but do not think about others attaining the Tao. Therefore, we Taoists have always had such a heart to benefit the public and care about suffering. Now, under the leadership of Master, we have made this point of view practical. Therefore, Master's achievements are quite great."

After talking, Jin Chanzi actually touched Huang Junming again. Although he knew that the Tianxian Palace has paid attention to the people this year, his original purpose was not this. However, when Huang Junming heard Jin Chanzi mention his role repeatedly in his sermon, he could be said to be a little complacent and touched. Seeing Jin Chanzi look at him, he gently shook the whisk and said, "It is also a practice to save the world and benefit the things, and to be kind."

The twelve words that Huang Junming shook the whisk can be said to be quite cool, that is, he ended Jin Chanzi's previous remarks and also said it concisely that this is also a kind of Taoist practice, which sets a great significance for the Taoist behavior in the future. Of course, there was no such thing as a pretentious statement at this time. Huang Junming's words could be said to have lit up the thoughts of everyone present. Everyone tried their best to remember these twelve words in their hearts. At least for believers, not everyone is familiar with the classics. Some of them may be richer, but they do not have time to recite scriptures and practice by themselves, and they can only pray for blessings by coming to the Taoist temple. But now they know a path that suits them. This path can be without chanting scriptures, or meditating, as long as they can help the world and benefit things, and they can be kind. This is a very simple thing for everyone.

"Thank you for your advice!" Jin Chanzi heard these twelve words, stood up from the cushion, and bowed to Huang Junming. After studying this Sutra Library for so long, he really hadn't summarized this point. Now that Huang Junming said, why don't Jin Chanzi feel grateful? Besides, among the basic Taoist things that Jin Chanzi studied, "inaction" and "few desires" can quote scriptures and make his words more full. However, this "healthy world" seems a little thin because of the few records in each classic. However, Huang Junming's words make up for Jin Chanzi's shortcomings in this point, which is really the finishing touch... The last chapter of 2012~ Oh! Everyone, Happy New Year! Hi Pi Niu Liquid!
