In 1996, coke prices have reached a peak in recent years, exceeding 700 yuan per ton; after the completion of Xinpu Steel Plant, it will consume 1.5 million tons of coke a year, with a total value of nearly one billion.

For Huaimei Group, this is definitely a huge order that can allow their entire group to immediately reverse the current loss dilemma.

If we can ensure that this large order is supplied by Huaimei Group, the Xudong Railway Monorail East Extension Project with a total investment of only 300 million yuan will be no problem for Huaimei Group to invest and undertake the construction.

Although Huaineng Group is about to enter Huaixi coal development, it will take a long time to form a coke production capacity of one or two million tons.

Even if Huaineng Group is responsible for the coke supply of Xinpu Steel Plant in the future, as long as the Xudong Railway is connected to Xinpu Port, Huaini's electric coal, coking coal, coke, etc. are transported to East China, South China and even exported to Japan and South Korea through Xinpu, it will help Huaini Coal Group get rid of its current operating difficulties and enable its business to develop greatly.

As soon as the concept of Huai Coal East was proposed, Huai Coal Group and Huaixi local coal companies became the most determined persistent, and it was not without reason.

The construction of the East Extension of Xudong Railway is not difficult. The preliminary work has been done well, and the demolition work is also being carried out separately. Just wait for the East China Railway Bureau to release it.

The plan is to be completed in one year to one and a half years, but as long as the East China Railway Bureau provides approval documents before the end of the year, Shenhuai even bids for multiple construction teams to go online at the same time, and paves 30 kilometers of railway tracks in nine months and opens at the same time with the coal-iron wharf. It is not unimaginable.

By then, the annual coal output of three to four million tons will increase by tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of dollars for the port; and the most direct driving force to stimulate capital to enter Xinpu to develop and build more berth terminals is profit and more profits.
