29 [The Lich King's Gaze]

In an instant, the restaurant was silent, and everyone put down their tableware and looked at each other, surprised and happy. Just as they were sad, the curse sect was nowhere to be found, Baron Rivendale came to his door by himself?

Orix was extremely confused, which was not like what the Lich King would do.

"Okay, I understand. You go down first, I'll welcome my father now."

"Yes." Butler Langton closed the door, and the footsteps gradually faded away, and soon turned to a hurry, as if he was jogging to greet his master.

After the old butler was fooled away, everyone in the restaurant started to communicate.

Jandis Barov used a probe spell, sensed it carefully for a moment, and said to Ronin: "There are thirteen spellcasters disguised as accompanying servants, and their bodies emitted a faint fluctuation of necrotic energy - including Rivendell himself. It seems that he has indeed surrendered to the evil existence - but his strength is not strong, so I am sure to subdue it all as soon as possible."

"You take this team of people to deal with those servants, remember to minimize the impact and do not disturb the civilians in the village outside..."

The two Dalaran bigwigs present quickly formulated a capture plan.

While talking, through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the restaurant, you can see the large carriage at the main entrance of the mansion. The "servants" accompanying him were busy moving things from above, hand-warming stoves, cooking utensils, etc., and many novel things purchased along the way. At first glance, it was no different from returning from a distance.

Baron Rivendale stood in front of the carriage, and said something to the old butler Langton with a smile, as if he had heard about Dalaran's visitors from the other party, and couldn't help but frown slightly and look over.

The moment he saw Orix standing by the window, the doubts on the face of the "big landlord" disappeared, and he quickly smiled and waved his hand at his son.

Orix also squeezed out a smile and raised his hand and shook it, as if he was signaling that there were visitors here, and it was still the kind of person with a high status. It was not good to let others go out to greet him. Dad, you should come back and meet him in the living room.

After the father and son's eyes staggered, their smiles disappeared. One was wondering what the Lich King sold in the gourd, and the other was worried about why so many Dalarans came to his home. But Baron Rivendell seemed to have made some decision, and he was dressed in a clean clothes and walked towards the mansion alone.

He really has a bit of a lone heroic spirit.

Orix felt something was wrong, but Jendis Barov left the restaurant with the team of combat mages, who would bypass the mansion and wait for an opportunity to deal with the necromancers who disguised themselves as servants.

He had no choice but to go back to his room to get his warhammer, followed Luo Ning and several other Dalaran mages to the living room, watching them use magic to faint their servants, and then quickly set up several magic traps at the entrance. Their professional techniques were astonishing as they often did this.

After completing all this, everyone sat on the sofa and waited for this man to fall into the trap.

"It's really a shame to be respectful to the guests."

Before I saw him, I heard his voice first. With footsteps, a voice came from the corridor into the living room. Soon, a tall middle-aged man with a hook nose appeared outside the gate with a sign-like smile on his face, and a respectful old housekeeper Langton.

"I heard that you are here to collect research data for magic projects. I wonder what help I can provide?"

As he said that, Orix's cheapness walked into the living room, but as soon as he stepped into the door, the magic trap was triggered. The magic light flashed. When the strong light disappeared, the baron had been tied tightly by the magic rope, and even his mouth was blocked. He was suspended at the door and looked at the people in the living room in shock.

Langton, the old housekeeper, was so scared that he almost passed out of breath. He was about to have a heart attack. He sat on the ground, covering his violently undulating chest and breathed. So as Ronin walked towards Baron Rivendell, several mages rushed over to help him rub his chest and beat his back.

The old man pointed to his pocket, and someone else hurriedly took out a small bottle, poured out a few small pills like quick-acting heart-saving pills and fed them. Only then did the old man's face return to rosy.

"Baron Rivendale, you are charged with treason and crimes against humanity... This is your arrest warrant, you will be taken to Dalaran for interrogation. We will use a series of methods including but not limited to imprisonment, memory search, hypnosis, and traceability magic to help you explain your crimes."

Ronin took out a piece of parchment paper, and there was also a handwritten signature of Dalaran leader Anthony Dass in the lower right corner, which was obviously ready.

"Woo...gu!"

Baron Rivendell struggled violently, but how could human power break free from the magic rope? He is not the Death Knight Lord who commanded the army of hundreds of thousands of undead in Stantholm in later generations. Although his strength is not weak at present, this magic trap was personally arranged by Luo Ning, who had already entered the legendary field. Not to mention it was him, even stronger ones would not run away.

Orix was quite confused. He thought at least a melee drama would have to be staged, and a fierce fight would be able to successfully arrest Baron Rivendale, but he didn't expect it to be so simple.

Do you really overestimate the Lich King?

"You can keep silent..." Luo Ning put away the arrest warrant and signaled to the mages behind him, "But that's useless."

Just as several combat mages stepped forward and tried to replace Baron Rivendell with a set of imprisonment spells that were more suitable for teleportation transfer, the latter suddenly trembled violently, with cold sweats, staring at the stare, and blue veins on his head stormed, obviously suffering tremendous pain. After a while, his head tilted and lost his breath.

Everyone was stunned.

Dead?

But the next second, the temperature in the room began to drop sharply, and the vases were frozen to pieces. The breaths exhaled from everyone's mouth turned into white horses. Baron Rivendale's exposed skin quickly lost its blood color, and it became dry and withered, as if it had become a mummy in an instant.

In the unbelievable eyes of everyone, he raised his head and looked at Orix on the sofa. His eyes were not dark, but pale, and he was panicked when he was not arrested, as if he had expected all this.

He is laughing.

Smile contemptuously.

"Not good!" Luo Ning, who was knowledgeable, was shocked. He realized that this might be some kind of strange spell, and immediately started to take action.

But the loud shout fell into Orix's ears and became inaudible, because after being looked at by those pale eyes without eyes, he fell into a state of dullness.

A gray mist rose in the field of vision, the living room disappeared, the mages beside him who swayed themselves for no reason and finally slapped themselves in the face without success, and the magic light that burst out disappeared, and Luo Ning's solemn face disappeared, and all the scenery suddenly disappeared, as if the soul was led to an unknown realm by something. In his thinking, only the cold eyes that seemed to have insight into everything without a trace of emotion were left.

When he came to his senses, he found himself standing in the snow and ice.

This is an extremely high mountain top platform. When the cold wind blows, he can't help but tremble. The soul-stirring tremble tells him that there is something terrible behind him...
