145: From idol to friend

After the New York Knicks, the No. 18 Grizzlies did not play, and they would not start fighting with the Pacers in Indianapolis until the 19th. So Hollins took the team to Indianapolis for training.

Since there is plenty of time, Hollins would rather lead the team to set off early. After all, the distance between Memphis and Indian Nambolis is still a little far apart. Even if you take a plane, it will take three and a half hours. If you only set off on the day of the game, it will be too late.

I set off on the morning of the 18th, arrived in Polis at noon, and trained directly at the Consecco Stadium in the afternoon. Tomorrow, players can participate directly in the competition without being tired of running around. This arrangement is perfect for Hollins.

During the afternoon training session, there were reporters asking Link what he thought after defeating Griffin. It seems that this matter has not been completely fermented after so many days.

Even Link was a little annoyed by the question. I wonder if Griffin's hairline has been rising in the past few days.

After accepting the interview and the whole team practiced the tactics again, the Grizzlies' training ended here.

"Link, where to go to the evening? Tony and I want to go to the Indianapolis Raceway. Are you going? Experience the fun of speed and passion."

As soon as the training was over, Randolph came to Link. This was Randolph's favorite time to arrange entertainment after training every day.

"Racing? What kind of racing car can you sit in at your weight? You're afraid you're just driving a SUV on the track."

"Damn, I'll still get you around when I drive a SUV. Otherwise, I'll try it tonight?" Randolph came in. He was a person who likes to pursue excitement. Before coming to Memphis, being caught driving overtime was commonplace for him.

Although I am much more honest now, there is a chance to drive and speed legally, Randolph will not want to miss it.

Although there are many competitions at the Indianapolis Racecourse, it is open to the public when there is no competition, and every racing enthusiast can get off the track. Before coming to Indianapolis, Randolph had already planned to have a good race.

"Not tonight, I have an appointment tonight, so you and Tony will go."

As soon as Link finished speaking, he found that Tony Allen also "teleported" to him.

"Have you an appointment? Who are you with? Where are you going?" Tony Allen's questions were four times, like a heart-wrenching old father.

"Well, Paul George, why do you want to go?"

"Tsk." Randolph and Tony Allen waved their hands at the same time.

Link shook his head and ignored the two funny guys. He and George have indeed not seen each other for a long time. Link is still very interested in this old classmate.

Although George averaged 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this season, he was not even selected for the All-Star rookie, but Link did not doubt George's ability at all. He knew how powerful his old classmates would become in the future.

What interested Link even more was that this old classmate said that he would introduce himself to him today.

Well, it's good if you're a female star

※※※

"Female star? How could I know a female star? Do you guy think this is Los Angeles? Wait, you guy won't have a girlfriend yet. No, Randolph should take you out to play often, right? Link, Link, you're thinking about this. It's okay, if you want, I can take you to a newly opened nightclub tonight."

"Well, George, I'll play games tomorrow. You know, I haven't liked that kind of place very much. When I went there all night, my ears were still buzzing the next morning." Looking at George with a smirk, Link waved his hand in disappointment, and joined George to introduce himself to the fact that he was not a female star.

As for nightclubs, Link knew that George liked to go to nightclubs. Indeed, he was a hard-working player. In the year when Link traveled through, George even played MVP-level data performance in the Thunder. But this did not prevent George from playing. He was a nightclub in college. However, George separated the play and work very well, and never affected his work because of fun.

With George, an old driver, Link believes that if he goes to a nightclub, he will definitely be much more fun than racing with Randolph. But there will be a race tomorrow, and there will be a lesson in Anthony and Harden. Therefore, Link can only refuse.

"So who did you introduce to me? Could it be a big man?"

"You're right, what a big man. Let's go, you'll know when you go in!" George said, and walked into the restaurant with Link's shoulder.

For some reason, Link suddenly lost interest in this dinner. He lived among men every day, and finally came out and had to meet another big man. Link really felt that his life was almost gone.

"It's right there, do you know who he is? He is"

"Brad Stevens!?" Before George could finish introducing it, Link called out Stevens' name! He knew that these two guys were in Indianapolis, but he didn't expect that they actually knew each other!

But then I thought about it and it was normal for everyone to know each other.

Stevens was also a little surprised when he heard someone shouting at him. He was even more surprised when he saw that the person shouting was Link.

Does that kid know himself?

"Do you know him? Haha, I thought he was only famous in Indiana." George looked at George with a confused look. Could it be that Link also paid attention to the ncaa in this state?

"How could you not know me! Mr. Brad, so lucky! I am Link, I'm so happy to know you! I really like your Celtics, I really like your coaching style with the Bulldogs, I'm actually one of your fans." Link shook hands with Stevens very enthusiastically.

George was on the side with a look of contempt. Link was just now looking reluctant to know someone. What happened now? It smells so good!

"I'm so lucky. I didn't expect you to know my things too. I also like your playing style, Link. I heard that George is your old classmate, so I wanted to ask you out to meet you. I didn't expect that I thought you wouldn't pay attention to NCAA games." Stevens was a little surprised, after all, he was not a famous coach.

Although he led Butler University to create the "Cinderella Myth" last season and counterattacked all the powerful men in the championship, he eventually lost in the finals. Overall, Stevens is indeed a bit different from the real famous coach in NCAA. There are many famous players in NCAA, but there are only a few famous coaches, and they can count them with one hand.

Others may be unknown in their entire lives and few people know about them. What's more, Stevens is still the kind of head coach who became a monk halfway.

However, Stevens is still too modest here. In fact, he was already very popular last year. US President Obama personally called to congratulate him when he entered the finals at Butler University. After last season, he also appeared on many talk shows. Although Stevens is not as famous as the NBA star, he is also a public figure.

"Who in the United States doesn't pay attention to NCAA? And you were also very popular last year. Anyone who cares about basketball knows your name." Link told a kind lie here, because as a Chinese in his previous life, he only learned about Stevens through NBA, just like most people.

But, Stevens is not the NBA head coach yet, and Link almost lets go just now.

"Hahaha, it seems that we are half an old acquaintance! George, the encounter between the three of us is simply destined by God!"

"Yes, God is destined. Please, I finally had a night off, so stop talking about basketball. If you make friends, can't you talk about anything else?"

Link, George and Stevens gathered in Indianapolis for the first time.

Link was very glad that he decided to meet George and did not go to the racing stadium with Randolph, otherwise he might have lost a chance to meet his idol. No, now he should be called Stevens friend.
